Thank you! I still have to do your day gecko care video - I haven’t forgotten! As discussed in the video, I’m still not happy with how I am caring for my own, which is why the care video is still not here yet 😉
Love your enclosure's setups and how much space you're providing for your animals👌 and i've had the same experience with my crested gecko. That's why i sold him with his tank. I prefer animals that i get to observe, i realised don't want pets that i never get to see..
I know, time and space permitting I would have liked to have kept them - my crested gecko also. Just don't have the facilities to keep as much anymore, so what I have has to suit my situation.
Great video of the reptile room tour. I will and I say every body else that watches you will miss you but its for the better for your education and who knows you might have more knowledge to share to us in a few months. Again we will miss you, best of luck at university 🎓 🙂👍🏻
Thank you Nathan! I’ve got another six weeks left this term, and hopefully I can get two or three videos out in that time, so it won’t be too much of a radio silence if I can do it!
Quick question, I noticed (from a past video) that you don't have a drainage layer for your leopard gecko. Has that caused any problems for you, or has it been fine since its mostly arid
I only have drainage layers in my tropical gecko enclosures: the others are sufficiently dry not to warrant them. So, no, I have not had any problems 🙂
Very nice! Im in the same boat, my plan is research and write scripts whenever i get a free moment, and when i do get the chance to film go for it and make loads in batch! Get a excel spreadsheet of video ideas and everytime something pops in your mind jot it down. Can be more productive just shifting down a list and getting things done that way.
How much for splat i have an empty exo terra medium xtra tall 60xm x45cmx90cm i have a green eyed forest gecko (smithii) in a 90c45x90 a tokay in a 60x45x90 and a chahoua in a 60x45x90 i have 2 basilisks and a frilled dragon too
I think not. The common chameleons in the pet trade (Yemen/veiled, panthers, and to a lesser extent Jackson’s) will readily make a snack of many geckos, and those geckos too large to be consumed by a chameleon would probably stress it out considerably - chameleons seem to be quite stressy animals, it would seem. I’m all up for cohabitation where appropriate, but I think that this is one of those combos which just wouldn’t work 🙂
An azalea, dichondra, lavender (RIP), Kenilworth ivy, English ivy, hen-n'-chicks, and a particular type of berry bush whose name currently escapes me... I'll remember it later on and leave another reply when I can think of the name! The azalea is (potentially) highly toxic, so care should be taken that none gets ingested by the lizards.
Great video I have a question in my Leo enclosure I now use heat and uvb along with a plant light my Leo hardly eats now the reason he does this is because does not come out to bask to get enough heat any tips
A few questions: - What do you mean by "I now use heat"? What heating element is it and what wattage? Where is it in the enclosure? - What UV lamp are you using? How large is it? What reflector has it got? How far away is it from the animal at the closest point? Where is it in the enclosure? - What is the plant light and again, where is it in the enclosure? - How long ago did you implement these changes? - What are the temperatures around the enclosure? How are you measuring these values?
@@JTBReptiles OK so are used to use a heat pad now are use overhead heating I am using a 10 point Repti sun uvb lamp I recently switched about three weeks ago maybe one week the enclosure is a 29 gallon And the plant light is the bio dude plant light and it is just over the top of the enclosure because there is a screen mesh because it is a 29 gallon and the closest point he can get to the UV is about 4 inches away through a mesh and The highest temp is 91 but where he is in his hide is like 79 to 81 he will not come out to bask or he eats like 5 mealworms a week
If you cover the bottom part of the window it might reduce their angst, often I find tropical species are a lot harder to keep especially small ones. I disagree with you keeping your Leos together but ill wait till I see your video to make a comment on that. Your Viv's look great! Cambridge uni u nerd! Love your videos! Have a good day!
I have a way forwards with the lined day geckos... It's happening ;) I suppose I can't argue about the nerd status now, can I? There again, I spend my weekends filming videos about light bulbs for lizards so I suppose I was probably firmly in that category to begin with XD Thanks!
@@JTBReptiles Lol, I got called a nerd by the smart kid the other day, it was quite the compliment! Probably worth at least trying my idea but I look forward to your future videos!
Because the benefits that social interaction can bring to certain species are, when taken into consideration of the downsides, sufficient cause to keep the animals in a group setting provided also that all means are taken to minimise the likelihood of any particular downside ever being realised.
Well done bro for getting into Cambridge, I’m very proud of you! Good luck!

You have an amazing collection. One of the best UA-cam channels I have ever seen. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you very much!
Damn, you definitely a thing for enclosures, they are all amazing ! If I was a reptile I’d definitely have a happy life in there
Haha thank you! Many improvements still to be made, though...
Bro,your enclosures are amazing..😊😊👍👍..
Thanks!
That's amazing! I love your style. 😍
Thank you!
Long time no see. It is good to see you again.
Wowzers, looks cool!

Thanks! Yeah, I just don’t think that cresties are really my thing, as cool-looking as they are...
what a pity that you gave away the leopard snakes..they were the reason why I found your interesting channel. And they are something really spezial...

I have a western green lizard too!
They’re great lizards!
Hello I am from Spain, good video, what substrate do you use for terrariums? I love how you have your animals. I will see more of your videos.

Thanks mate, that's sort of what I've been doing, albeit in my more primitive fashion - that is to say, using pen and paper ;P
RIP Mr lizard boi :(
I’m not gone forever - just a bit quiet until December, then Jan-Mach, and April-July. The bits in the middle will be as normal, I should think!
What kind of bulbs do you use?
I use quite a lot of different lamps! See here - ua-cam.com/play/PLs_fAG9ufg7177MupBy0W-Q_v04giuJfB.html

Love your video may ask were do you buy your Branches at
I collect them outside for the most part, but the biggest ones in my dragon’s and corn snake’s enclosures I got from Northampton reptile centre.
How clean them and kill the germs
I just pour boiling water over them. Seems to do the trick!
I got names for your western green lizards thing one and thing two.
Cat in the hat vibes? 😆
