Jimmy Hoffa?
Oh my goodness
How about Asha Degree? The details behind that one make for a strange disappearance.
There's no such thing as the word closure...there's only an acceptance of the facts. D. B. Cooper ended up on a tropical isle, without extradition to the US, sipping on Margaritas & soaking up the sun. Rumor has it that Jimmy Hoffa & Amelia joined him there. 😉
The Valentich vanishing.. spooky that nothing from the craft has been found.
Weird that my dad is not included.
Lol 😂😂😂
Dang 😂
Who is your dad?
Don’t worry, he’ll be back with the milk any day now.
Hardcore🤣🤣🤣🤣⚡️🫣
Brian Schaffer’s disappearance always puzzled me. A medical student who goes out for spring break with friends, he was seen entering the club on cctv with no sign of ever leaving on camera and has not been seen since 2006.
True Crime Garage did a great piece on this disappearance
I believe That Chapter did this case as well
@@lawofgravity1979 and what did they determine?
Omg yes I learned about his case a few years ago it still blows my mind! I hope one day his family gets the justice they deserve and find what happened to him
I'm from the area and one day I just happened to drive past the location and I was shocked at how small it was. I was literally like what the heck! I thought it was massive based on all the videos covering it. It's not big at all. So it made the incident even more confusing.
I've never really understood all the supposed mystery regarding Harold Holt's disappearance. He was an unfit, 60 year-old man, swimming in rough seas at an unpatrolled beach. Of course he drowned. Hundreds of people drown every year in Australia.
They named a pool after him.
Indeed. I’ve swum there.
@robertthomson1587 I personally think it's hilarious. We lost a PM he drowned, how do we memorialise him, we build a swimming pool.
@@heathergarnham9555 So many more people can drown there too of course 🤪
Hahaha! I thought the same thing. Where’s the mystery in that? He shouldn’t be so high on the list since it’s not really creepy haha.
The Brandon Swanson disappearance is creepy and strange. Actually I have done some research on the case and police actually did a search of the surrounding area near the the Yellow-Medicine river and found no trace of Brandon. There was no clothing, no phone and no body found. He could be anywhere. A very bizarre missing persons cold case. Its been 16 years since Brandon Swanson vanished.
what if someone kidnapped brandon?
Hung out with Brandon a couple times and we went to the same high-school I have a yearbook to prove it
@@thewaterpoops1368 He was on the phone with his dad at the time and he would have heard a car. There was no other car in the area or anyone suspicious hanging around. I know I wasn't there but I have done plenty of research on this case to know if this was a kidnapping or not. Brandon was on his own when he tried to find where his dad was and it was so dark that Brandon and his dad were not able to see each other.
@@bryanharden5653 so then you kidnapped him
and that curse word they mentioned was actually “oh shit “ before his father heard just absolute silence & hung up and tried reaching him again. That specific statement “oh shit !” shows he had just seen something or knew was about to happen when he caught eye contact w what or who landed out front of him. I don’t think he was drunk enough to fall off in the lake due to his father saying that he could understand his son on the phone he was coherent although he had liquor in system & since he still hasn’t been found till this very day. They had searches going out when it first happened in the lake no body was found come on it’s a lake not a sea he couldn’t have disappeared that fast. Something wild occurred wouldn’t doubt it especially ending up in a ditch no scratch just to go missing anyway after waiting for The help exactly 47 minutes in on the phone no lake trips happened during that time frame so clearly he had time to adjust and be aware of where he walking on so when he went “ oh shit “ dawg had actually seen sum
The case of Timmothy Pitzen, he was last seen his mom in Rockford, and she left a note saying he is safe you won't ever find him
I'm surprised the disappearance of the Beaumont children in Australia didn't make this list. The drawing of the dude they were last seen with is nightmare-inducing.
yeah should've been that one, not the howard holt one that keeps getting trotted out by people who know nothing about it or the area
Tall blond man. The over-all description sounds suspiciously like Bevan Spencer von Einem. Later a man of the same description was reportedly seen with a boy at a bus stop. The boy never made it home. Von Einem was directly connected to the "Family Murders" in the late 1970s, involving the disappearance and murders of five teenaged males.
I’m glad they found the body of the Mt Everett climber. It’s rare to close a mystery that old but hopefully his descendants have peace knowing where he is.
The Brandon Swanson case happened right in my local area. He was in between two small towns close to my house but he thought he was by his home town, hence why his parents couldn’t find him at the time. He either got attacked by animals or got lost looking for help in the fields, never to be found.
What about that kid that went missing in London. Left his home with just his psp and like 80 in cash and took a train after school. CCTV showed him looking for someone when he got off and just disappeared after that
Andrew Gosden.
Yea that one is bizarre
#17 Omg! They gave somebody someone else's kid? You can tell from pictures that it isn't the same child. I'm guessing the mother of the missing boy who probably drowned couldn't wrap her mind around losing a child that she told herself the other kid was hers and bc the other woman didn't have money/lawyers to fight it in court....just omg. How could the other people not see it wasn't the same child. That poor mother. I can't imagine. That is just stunning.
The only reason I could think of a mother accepting another child is if she was involved in the killing. A mother who lost her child would look everywhere for her baby. No other child is like my son. I know him I know how to calm him and I know when he'll get upset.
I think they even made a movie about it that Angelina Jolie starred in...Clint Eastwood was supposedly obsessed by it and eventually all the new attention had prompted the DNA retest and all that and turns out the police were corrupt and since women weren't exactly respected and taken seriously they treated her like she was just some panicky Karen and she was tossed in a psychiatric hospice and everything. Again this is me just throwing what I vaguely remember so I may have a few components off .
@@lolly5657 Im thinking maybe her sound drowned. I don't think she was responsible for it but just couldn't accept it in her mind. I think she had a mental break or something to take someone else's kid. Either that, or she was so worried about looking like a bad parent she claimed he must have been kidnapped.
@@sagebiddi I saw that movie but don't that remember much about it. It was called the Changling. She was a woman who's son was kidnapped and they gave her a boy that she insisted wasnt her child and nobody believed her. Did the real woman say that? It seems like they fought in court to keep the kid that wasn't theirs.
@TheOfficialTarynTots yup...you got it and yeah
I can't believe the case of Liu and her 4 year old daughter in Taiwan didn't make this list. Lady runs into large multi story building in the middle of the night with her daughter. Runs past guards and heads into the elevator. Is seen getting off elevator on upper level and is never seen again. There are cameras watching every exit and entrance to the building and the building has been thoroughly searches. They just vanished into thin air
these are the kind of cases i expected in this list, not "prime minister drowns at sea" or amelia frickin' earhart (whose plane crashed and debris was found on an uninhabited island)
Where did this happen? I tried looking it up on UA-cam, but nothing comes up Liu or her daughter
@@PearlGurl14I was just about to say this lol
2 missing cases that have always creeped me out were The Yuba County Five and the 5 Frog Boys out of S.Korea. Those cases are so strange and probably will never be solved. If you don't know about them, definitely check them out. They will leave you scratching your head like whaaaaaa?!
The frog boys case was solved wasn't it?? Or am I mistaken
@@stevenmoguzman2397 No, it wasn’t….or at least I haven’t heard anything anywhere about the case being finally solved.
Yeah, the Yuba County 5 is the strangest missing persons case ice ever heard.
I hear about the 5 frog boys, I think the military know something

Nothing sadder than an empty chair.
@@The-CoffeeManaptly put. my father passed away on 10th March and we all cry lookin at his vacant chair
@@sadia2395 May he rest in peace and time ease your pain.
I remember watching unsolved mysteries where a very elderly woman in Japan said Amelia Earhart s plane crash landed there, then she and her male companion were both shot to death. 🤔💖
There’s been so many cruise ship “mysterious disappearances” that I never want to board a cruise ship!
What about Michele "Shelly" Diane Miscavige?
Thank you!!!!
“Ask my kidnappers if I’m just a s*** talker!” Julius Caesar
I live in Springfield, MO and "The Springfield 3" is still takked about.
Oh my goodness. Imagine having your child taken away because no one believes he's yours and he's off living with another family for the rest of your life. Likewise, imagine being a child ripped away from your actual mother and forced to live with strangers. Smh
I don’t feel like theres anything creepy about the disappearance of Mallory and Irving. People die on the mountain now, much less a century ago with no air canisters and little gear.
You might have added the Beaumont children (1966) or Eloise Worledge (1976).
You need to include the disappearance of the 3 Beaumont children in Adelaide Australia on Australia day January 26 1966, the were never seen again. It's presumed they were abducted, but no one knows. The mystery lingers to this day
"It's a boring answer but the most realistic often are. Thanks for that. I'm gonna use that forever.
What about my socks from the dryer?
Yes!!!
Sergio, what about your brain cells?
@@teresewecker never had any
What about Brian Shaffer. This was one of the strangest disapperance of all time.
I Love Creepy Mojo!
Brian Schaefer (sp?) Maura Murray and Lars mittank have had me intrigued for years… so much research with nothing. Also the Springfield 3. Although I feel something happened at the party that caused the foul play. It wasn’t a robbery since nothing was taken. Making it feel like a personal motive.
Thank you for this upload!!
The one that I think of is the young lady (Tania Calaco?) that disappeared on a bike ride. A photo of her and a little boy fell out of a van in a carpark years after. That one gets me.
Tara Calico. The photos have officially been declared a hoax.
@Jenny010132 ok. Not a funny joke.
@@justamy7738 At least we know they’re okay.
@@Jenny010132 who's ok?
The Fort Worth trio couldve been taken by Ted Bundy. I mean he was bouncing between states at that time. Even though he was attending law school in Utah, he still managed to murder in Colorado...so why not Texas?
How is Dennis Martin's disappearance not on here? His vanishing still gives me the creeps.
The two disappearances I'm still waiting for are Natalee Holloway in 2005 and dulce Alvarez in 2019
The Emma Fillipoff disappearance has always given me the creeps.
RIP To Those Who Died 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Another scary video from watchmojo at night
Night? It's only like 20:00. (I do not recognize the existence of other time zones or countries as a matter of imperialist principle.)

I thought I was the only one🤔
Literally me right now lol 😂
I still cannot believe that we named a swimming centre after Harold Holt 😭 like, COME ON LMAO
Lars Mittank's ruptured eardrum came about because he had gotten into a fight.
The dude from UA-cam lookin for an M cave it’s crazy 😮
Awesome !
I knew DB Cooper would be number one or two. So many thoughts about this case. 🤔
I'm surprised that the 3 guys who escaped from Alcatraz weren't on this list.
Disney knows what happened to Rebecca Coriam.. Remember that next time you renew your Disney + membership.
evidence?
the guy with the ruptured ear drum , there's so much more to the story , he got into a fight and was punched in the ear which is why he was told he couldn't fly , then he started doing weird stuff around his friend , after his friend left is when he ran out of the airport , the ruptured ear drum most likely brought on an undiagnosed mental disorder and he dead now
7:20 Parts of Valentich's plane (with the correct serial number) were indeed found some years later. That whole case is a mess of strange details, such as the fact he told two different false stories about why he was taking the trip. I think he may have either made up the story about whatever it was pursuing him, or he suffered spacial disorientation and was actually flying upside down over water until he crashed. While the thought of a UFO makes for a better story, more mundane explanations are probably at play.
You seem to know a bit so genuine question. How does he not realise he is upside down. Should he not feel gravity pulling him from his seat as his seatbelt fights it.
@@joshuafraser3627 Apparently it's not an uncommon phenomenon among pilots, especially inexperienced ones. You would think that they would know they're upside down, as you mention, but someone who's in full freak-out mode (and especially if not sufficiently trained in night flying) can experience it. Wikipedia does a fairly good job of explaining spatial distortion in pilots.
I still check every year on updates in the Maura Murray, Brandon Swanson and Lars Mittank cases...
I don’t blame the kid who pretended to be Bobby Dunbar, his mom let him go off with this man and apparently there were witnesses who saw him abusing the boy so I don’t doubt that he had a much better life with the Dunbar family than he would’ve with his biological mother who let him go off with an abusive man rather than taking care of him. He likely would’ve been put into a similar situation if he’d been forced to go back to her.
I went to college in Indiana and Lauren Spierer was only a year older than me. I still think about her case. I hope it is solved one day.
These disappearances sure are creepy! I wish none of them happened. People need to be careful out there. Perhaps they should stay in a group. I fell bad for some who passed away!
The Truth is still out there.
When I look at the number of cases covered, then look at the running time of the video, I see we’re in for 60 seconds per case, with a bit over a minute for intro and outro, let’s go !
I honestly want justice for Brandon
Agreed! Me too
I find it odd that the three men who escaped from Alcatraz in the late 60s were not included in this list.
For the Sodder and Bobby Dunbar Cases if you want more info the Podcast Red Web has episodes on both. Both have some crazy twist and turns not talked about on here.
Did the Bobby Dunbar case inspired the movie The Changling starring Angelina Jolie ?
The Sodder case has always intrigued me. There's just something creepy about it.
@charliejoson9145 nope it was inspired by another case. The Dunbar disappearance was never adapted into a movie.
I thought Blair Adams would have made the list. That case was creepy af.
Dan Cooper disappeared because he got smeared across the countryside. He picked the absolute worst possible conditions to attempt a parachute jump.
Asha Degree and Amy Bradley should be on the list
I'm surprised the 3 guys that made the Alcatraz escape wasn't on here because it's still uncertain what happened to them
There's a good documentary about this. They actually made a raft out of similar material and a team tried to escape on the raft and they couldn't do it
@@Sunsetdreamer0there’s a documentary about how they might be alive and well in Brazil because some of there family has found some pictures that might be them
I’m fascinated by the guy who vanished in a bar-the cameras never show him leaving
Surprised Natalie Holloway wasn’t on here or Elisa lam at the Cecil hotel
DB Cooper would make an awesome movie if done in a "Zodiac"-like way by David Fincher
I'm listening...
Tasmania is an Australian state not a separate island
Ameila Earhart flew a lot of airplanes, except for that one time when she didn't come back.
3:57 - Holy cow! My home town makes a WatchMojo list!
I just wish it was one that was .... not so creepy.
I so tired of the DB Cooper story
Didn't DB Cooper turn out to be Loki?
Or dragon ball zooper
Interesting
Ameila Earheart didn't disappear "near" Hawaii, they disappeared near Howland Island, which is over 3,000 kms from Hawaii.
What about the Madeleine McCann case?
What about Jimmy Hoffa
What about the plane that went missing with 200+ ppl? That’s a real head scratcher.
If you're talking about the Malaysia plane they solved it.
Pieces of the plane have started to wash up on shore, and ARE confirmed to be from the right plane 😞
@@MarinerLain56 I guess what I’m confused about is why did the plane decide to veer off course in the other direction. Maybe lightning? Sad though 😢
The Beaumont children should be on this lust
I'm surprised Natalee Holloway wasn't on this list.
Because we know what happened to her.
Her case was solved
@@chiobabe2180 yeah, but it wasn't solved until recently
@@Shogundoxie1414 true. Wasn’t it like a few months ago ? Or last year . Something like that.
I sure wish cases like Jennifer Kesse would have taken precedence over cases from the early 1900s in this video. Let’s focus on ones where there can be productive leads generated by the publicity
You guys have been doing a lot of top 20 lists lately
Dennis Martin and Stacy Arras are the Most Strange and Mysterious cases..
How in da fuq does one unknowingly fly upside down? Was he in an Acme cartoon!? How did you even get your pilots license if you can't tell right side up from upside down? I mean isn't that covered in flight training on day one? "Which way is the sky"- UP "Which way is the ground"?-Down "And that class concludes chapter one.
I believe Ted Braden was DB Cooper. He had the skill and knowledge to pull it off, plus, right after the hijacking, he had a sudden influx of cash.
These are all heartbreaking 💔, especially watching parents with unanswered questions ⁉️
what was creepy about the pm that shouldn't have been swimming but was swept out to sea and ranked it so high
My guess is because they never recovered the body and felt like they should have been able to? My only other guess is because most countries didn't allow their leaders that level of freedom/unwatched/unprotected leisure at that time so it was super bizarre for that guy to be left alone.
I wonder if Ryan's mind is on this list, is Stanley still helping him find it?
The Springfield Three may have been found buried under a hospital parking garage, cops just dont want to dig them up.
I thought they did a ground scan and couldn’t determine if bodies were there or not?🤔 And that’s why no digging up garage.
That was something a psychic said. There is no evidence that they are there.
@@Dopecheetah They did. Also, the parking garage tip was called in by a guy who had a dream that they were buried there. It's not credible at all.
That garage wasn’t built until a year later. That stupid theory came from a self proclaimed psychic on websleuths who said Stacy McCall told him in a dream. Decomposition gasses would seriously damage the concrete.
Mojo, you guys should split these long ones into two videos. In two parts, you will get twice the clicks, twice the ad revenue, and twice the hate in the comments (ridiculous hate btw!) and it would make these more enjoyable to watch.
No Timmothy Pitzen or Madeleine McCann?
Crazy with cameras everywhere people still go missing.
Yeah, he must have flown upsise down 🤣
You forgot Peter Quil's disappearance
One missing case I found extremely creepy was Mekayla Bali as from what I can gleam it isn't talked about that much but is still scary to me none the less
C'mon, Watchmojo, quit ignoring Glenn Miller. He's still listed as MIA.
the case of Brandon Swanson is the one that really intrigues me. Being on a completely different place than when he thought he was....and what exactly happened? But the one that haunts me after hearing a longer version on the podcast Trace Evidence is Margaret Fox....that poor girl. I can just see her sitting in the bus...exicted for her first job.... And the predator was READY for her.......stuff of nightmares
so we are just going to ignore adam walsh?
How many of these are closely linked to 411 David Paulides theories?
Not seen any in his 411 stuf - but I guess if you plotted them out in relation to his map of cave systems it might prove useful to see how likely it is.
disappearance of Pauline Picard, a baby from France who went missing is pretty scary
Does anybody have a movie about the Valentich case? It seems very mysterious
Why isn't my lighter on this list?
My car keys. LOL
Wasn't D.B Cooper also the name of a character from the X-Files?
D B cooper is Loki actually
The very beginning of the video.. That ransom call.. very distinct accent and way of talking and "buttered toppings".. never heard that saying..
Didn’t they find Amelia’s body on this crazy island with crabs the size of trash cans? Coconut crabs I think they’re called? And they like eat other creatures and like blood and stuff?
Christmas Island?
The chapter for Maura Murray was mislabeled as 'Marie Murray'.
Can you do another top 20 for this? And Rebecca, can you do the 20 most evil kids in history?
