- This time on Rock Rods we are taking you to the most famous hill in all of rock bouncing. Cable Hill is located at the old Gray Rock ORV Park in Mt. Olive, Alabama. The park is no longer open to the public but gives us special permission to hit this one of a kind rock bouncer hill climb for my Birthday each year. I have attempted this hill in two different vehicles but never been out the top. Maybe today is the day in my new Busted Knuckle Off Road 4 seat rock bouncer. Stay tuned and watch some bad to the bone rock bouncers hit this slick hill after a night of rainfall soaks it.

The hill that started the UA-cam bouncer craze..the beat downs are legendary. Anybody that thinks you’re crawling cable hill has no idea what they’re talking about..they’re probably use to wheeling out west where everything’s covered in sandpaper.

All those years of watching successful climbing lines on CH gives Matt a huge advantage. Personally I probably would not have hit that hill in that crazy sexy 4 seater, but that just shows you what I know. I’m not surprised it made it look so easy though, I seen the walk around on that beast. Perfect combo, super knowledgeable and capable driver and a high end badass buggy.

Happy birthday 🥳 We would have winched that it’s so steep. Winch Challenge event is six hours, someone did half an hour before bending the roll cage and having to go home. Totally not worth driving a hill like that except for out and out fun 🤩
We try not to use our winches if possible
Same for winch challenge , the winch slows you down. Thats 40 punches to collect in six hours. Trucks everywhere with traffic jams :o) You gotta choose, because slow might loose, but fast means you don’t finish at all. @@BustedKnuckleVideo

Those are not below 8lb.I understand what you guys do 💯,what I don't understand is acting like airing down doesn't help.And a samurai buggy climbed cable hill before on reds.I have bent wheels and pinched tires from hitting ledges and waterfalls that I would have never climbed with 8lbs in my tires.

I’m sure this has been brought up before but you should try independent suspension. There’s a guy doing it in monster jam and it’s a completely different level

Wheelbase helps as long as you can clear the ledges with belly clearance.
Love to see a rock crawler try it in low gear and see if they can crawl slowly up it
It was too slick that day for a crawler to crawl it or the samurai wouldn’t have struggled so much

Never seen so many actually make it up the hill especially 2 that never have tried it.
it was slick but dried up a bit for us that day so we had some good success. We also filled in the gian rut at the base of the hill so that we could keep forward momentum

I thought the four seater would do better with the longer wheelbase.
Well help and hurt. I couldn’t back up as far to bump that top ledge.
That Sami did not make it up, but it sure looked good trying.

We build them to fit all kinds of tall folks. I am 6-2 and we have built one for a guy that is 6-4 and maybe taller

What kind of tire pressures are these guys running? Looks like they’re driving in ice and there’s almost no sidewall flex

That Sami has to much anti-dive built into the front suspension causing it to break traction under throttle. I am not saying that Cable hill can get crawled but that suspension geometry doesn’t help.
yeah but it works so well slow crawling, just not build for speed or momentum

True, lucky for me I was last so it had dried up quite a bit from the first few.
