- This time on Rock Rods we are taking you to Windrock Park in Oliver Springs, Tennessee for the Southern Rock Racing Series 2024 season opener. We have some of the baddest rock bouncing buggies on the planet and they are ready to battle it out to see who is the best of the best in the sport of rock bouncer racing. Tim Cameron is back with his 100 shots buggy and ready to reclaim his title. They have some wild hills on this one and it has rained for days and made for some muddy hill climb racing as these rock bouncers claw their way out the top.

Love these big old bounty hills being incorporated into races!!! Just shows how far these rigs have come in last 5-10 yrs. Is Wade Goode not racing anymore?
They have come a long way for sure. Wade is not racing this season due to a neck injury.

these cut SX tires seem to work the best in all conditions. Tractor tires are heavy and tough on parts.

A small block winds the rpm’s to fast making it hard to get straight and have to change gears. Matt just my opinion buddy. I like a big block Ford motor myself course I don’t drive one of the bouncers. I’d love to one time. To each his own buddy

Different terrain at different parks. There is a little bit of rock under all that mud
Some have alot of money, No skill. Some of these dudes just need to go out every weekend and practice get to know their machine. Ford play
It takes a lot of commitment to hit these hills and do well. The margin of error is so small.

It really seems like there not even running for lowest time. Doing silly things like back on approach, and worst is getting off the gas at just the wrong time. That carb old sm block did very well, just have to stay in the gas.

Btw most of these "rock bouncers" are actually running on soft dirt hills 90% of the time.
I hardly see any rock climbing at all.

that first set of ledges they hit was rock. Some parks have good rock sections and some have big horsepower hills

The video doesnt do justice to showing how steep the hills are. No joke, they are virtually completely vertical in a lot of spots.
