here's the link its the same I have in the description amzn.to/2KEzB93 I recommend you buy a rebuild or new compressor because this vehicle suffers from a bad clutch on the compressors, if you buy a used one you will have the same issue. other option is to have a shop replace service/change your A/C clutch
I own a volvo 2005 s40 and my ac blows cold air for just 15 minutes and then hot air, now in winter time is not taking the fog away I wonder if is the compressor that isn’t working.
Super common problem on these cars is the clutch on the a/c compressors, and you can confirm it by hearing it kick on and off and when it’s off you can hit it with a stick or metal rod and it will kick back on. Solutions are 1) replacing the compressor which is what I did because I was having your same issue or 2) replacing the clutch or adding spacers to make it work again but that requires some special tools and it’s not a long lasting fix
Sounds like your ac clutch, which can be changed without removing the compressor completely. However, with mine, I changed the clutch and it still isn't blowing cold enough. Pump is not compressing enough and still needs to be changed.
Replaced mine, and the drier.. Now the car just cranks but wont start. Brand new battery, sprayed starter fluid in, has gas etc.. No kick at all, just keeps cranking. - Has anyone run into this issue?
Youre a good teacher bro, thanks. I wrench on cranes and boats and equipment all day but my s40 is a puzzle
I’m glad I was able to help, if you can, help me back by liking and subscribing :-)
Fantastic, thank you!
Nice
Good Video. Curious though . I wonder if the alternator would be easy to take out from the bottom with the AC compressor removed. Any idea ?
I don’t have the vehicle anymore, I wouldn’t be able to tell you
I need a link to buy a rebuild or new compressor . Or should I pull one from the junk yard ?
