  • AC compressor replacement: 45 to 60 minutes ($475 / $775 / $1,100)
    I this video I show how I helped a viewer replace the AC compressor on his 2008 Volvo C30. This process should be the same for the following cars:
    S40: 2005 through 2012
    V50: 2005 through 2012
    C70: 2007 through 2013
    C30: 2007 through 2013
    It may also work on some Ford Focus vehicles.

    Can you advise me as i am buying one are the washers rubber or copper between the inlet and outlet pipes and the compressor?

    Hi. Are all 3 bolts on the AC compressor the same length?

    What did you torque the bolts to for the inlet and outlet lines going to compressor?

      I just snugged them down. I would probably torque them to 12 ft lbs

    You didn't recover the ac gas before removing the lines?

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  2 роки тому

      The AC was already depleted because of the damage to the compressor and lines.

    Man, these cars get more "broken bones" than a ER! Why did I try to rescue one from the volvo shelter!?!? Arrrr

    id recommend them c30's and s40 go right to the junk yard and DO NOT hit the yard just right into the crusher !!! ive seen and played with a few in the junk yard...they are Junker than the s60 under that hood . its all a plastic and cheap parts /plastic lines /hoses … them car were to be sold drove about 8-10 years and scrapped . now 850 and s70 v70 much better parts but they are all ageing so a car under 200K is kinda a hard find.

      Exactly lol... It is true P1 ones came on the market together with Ford which owned Volvo at that time so obviously it couldn’t be better than Ford🤭
      But actually it is. 🙂 You just have to learn a bit more about these cars. There is plenty of P1s on the roads in UK...
