DUBSTEP JAM with ELEKTRON MODEL:CYCLES

Last jam of 2023, i wanted to make some glitchy abstract dubstep stuff with my Elektron Model:Cycles, a powerful FM groovebox, trying to get different sounds. The MC have a delay that can be set to a very short time, this add different metallic harmonic and a transparence that fits perfectly with this kind of dubstep. Using different techniques like layering and a lot of preset locks i created a full arrangement. Enjoy!

Love it- you really got a lot out of that little box- and the glitchy drum patterns and eliptical rhythm are really different to what most people make on the M:C. I really need to spend more time with mine and add it to my Digitakt-TD3-Dreadbox Nymphes set up for extra spicy percussion and twisted FM sounds.

Honestly the most impressive sound design here is the snare. It is not easy to get a "clack!" kind of sound like that out of this instrument.

It's really tricky instrument :S the snare is made with 3 different sounds: clap tone and rimshot... probably the "clack" you mean :D
