Pally, when you hit the fields, you should follow the golden trail of leaves to get to the dead tree. When you interact with it, it'll bloom and show you where all the items are.

And a massive prick move from Chronos
16:20 missed some silver and at 40:00 something too. Start following the trail of golden leaves to revive the tree and reveal locations, melinoë even comments in it herself.
You are correct that you couldn’t target Hermes. Hermes’ keepsake gave you dodge and move speed for fast-clearing encounters.
16:27, you know the drill
A fun run for sure, though Pally passing that infusion twice was painful to watch. He had 2 Demeter boons that would have raised from like 6 damage a tick to 30 damage a tick. He would have become a monster.
The rules for rerolls are the same as the first game, there is 2 wheel.

1- Gold, Gods, Poms, Health, Mana.
2 - Bones, Ash, Psyche, Nectar.
Pretty sure you are unable re-roll shops, boss or unique encounters (like Arachne).
If I forgotten anything or got something wrong please feel free to correct this. Also can't remember exactly how it works for mini bosses.

Also it cool that the entrance to Chronos is the "starting level" for Hades 1 when Zagreus starts a run.
Don’t know if you want to know how that last attack worked but if you do, keep reading.
It basically is like the one from the siren fight Where you have to stand in a small circle to dodge it or it insta kills you. But you put up a good fight and let’s Hope next fight you’ll destroy him and hopefully get to pet cerberus too!

Nobody gets to pet cerberus. I've done over 130 runs and I still can't pet him.
it doesn't instant kill you, just deals 999 damage. That can however be influenced by boons such as the one that says "you can't take more than 15 damage" or others that reduce damage taken.
A certain strategy Pally that was used in Hades 1.
Let’s say in a run you don’t particularly care what you want on your Special (kinda like in this video), instead of not taking anything for it until your absolutely forced too because the other options are bad, you can choose to take the first thing that would augment your special super early.
The reasoning is that once you choose something that affects your special, the chances of finding something to replace that boon is very slim. This means that because your special isn’t available to be augmented, you can’t get those boons anymore that augment your useless ability. Instead you can get cool stuff that you find more appeasing.
For example, when you realized you weren’t using your special this run, you could’ve used your Demeter boons to get Freeze on Special, that way you couldn’t even get the choice of a special augmenting boon for your Zeus boons, which were far more valuable.
Hey Pally. Pls buy fate fabric from the broker. It will unlock your one of your biggest power spike and a whole new world. You can't find it in a run.

What Odysseus is referencing at 2:04 is a fun story. The context to know for this story is that Poseidon isn't just the god of the sea he's also known for making literal monsters including cyclops. Odysseus and his crew ran into a cyclops on one of their journeys and he outwitted the cyclops and blinded it (his men escaped hiding under sheep). When asked his name he said his name was "Nobody" so that when other cyclops ask what happened he'd say "Nobody blinded me" and they won't do anything to track whoever did this down. Once they had made their escape to their ship he started bragging about how he the great Odysseus bested the cyclops. Greek gods don't tend to like it when mortals brag about outsmarting them so Poseidon made their journey home take considerably longer and be much more difficult. It was difficult enough that even in death he'd rather not attract Poseidon's attention.
Also, Poseidon built the walls of Troy. The Odyssey happened, because Odysseus consistently angered and disrespected Poseidon

This is the second game I've started playing because of Pally, both games I would have never played otherwise. BG3 and Hades 2
hey walter, i LOVE the axe, my favorite boons for the axe are close damage on the whirlwind from aphrodite, and the apollo boon for the special attack so it hits farther and overlaps, both come with increased base damage, and make the axe suuuper op when leveled up a bit. much love from a looooooong time viewer. ( i started watching you when hots was in beta iirc) lmaoo
also hermes had a keepsake in the first game just like the second, but his keepsakes dont let you seem him or rarify his boons in either game.

I'm a little disappointed Pally hasn't noticed yet that the zone with Chronos is the first zone from Hades 1.
you pushed Phase 2 on the first try. God gamer!!!!!! And that was not a forced death. There is a little field you can stand in. i actually needed 38 runs to beat him once! :D
chronus have a few instadeath move that force you to stand in certain part of the room, he will always started with one of them when he enter 2nd phase

Fantastic run my guy! 2 things for tips. Don't forget to buy your 1 gift per run for 30 bones. Second thing is don't forget about the Familiar spell in the cauldron which takes 2 gifts.

Solid first attempt on Chronos!
Pally! In the second phase he'll do a board wipe but there's always a clear pocket you can go in, that's what killed you.
Good way to do the Cerberus fight is to treat him like a souls boss, just stay behind him and poke him in the butt until he dies
Every enemy having armor pissed me off in hades 1, made me always run Excalibur and armor breaking/backstabber build with Athena
45:34 Air Quality would triple the chain lightning dmg.
pally i recommend a cast build where you specifically look for apollo and zeus, hestia and demeter are honorary gains but not needed. any cast boons you see but specifically an apollo one that causes an effect AFTER the cast ends.
trust me it is worth the search

Pally. Even if you don't use your special for any real damage, you should use it for its block! It blocks EVERYTHING! You can just channel it and block everything instead of using it for offensive reasons :)

Enemies can't damage you while you're in menus, like when choosing a boon or in this case, in a scripted dialogue with Nemesis.
37:42 You can turn that gray tree to gold to assist you in navigating the surrounding area easier. You've done it once, but it seems like you forgot.
Except for Chrinos who will UNPAUSE YOUR GAME!!! Found that out the hard way.
Air quality would have been good as well, with the Demeter cyclone effect
Oh pally bro! I initially thought that infusion boon was totally useless. Then I realized it was ANY damage you did. Remember your Demeter Cyclone? Which did 4 damage a tick? It would have done 30 damage a tick now (every 0.25s) so that's a crazy damage boost. Seems like that infusion plus any gods who do low tick damage (Like Demeter) would be a POWER combo.
looks like you have to stand on the right clock time during that second phase auto kill

I hope you try the other route Pally. Instead of going through the door you have been going through all this time to start a run, try the "locked" path across from it. you have the ability to unlock it now, and have had it for some time.
Passing up that infusion twice seemed rough. If I read it correctly it's every boon right? Like the demeter tick on the worldwinds goes from 4 a second to 30 a second? Or is it just on the air boons (the chain lightning goes from 10 to 30 which is already a 200% increase in damage).
That was not a forced death. You'll figure it out. Getting through phase 1 on your first try = great job.

Love you pally but sometimes you make weird choices like when you chose a 5% double strike over the air infusion boon that makes all your damaging abilities do at least 30 damage. It would have been a huge buff for your cast with the cyclone damage and your chain lightning affecta.
That attack only killed you because is one of those mechanics that punish your lack of knowledge of the fight, and die repeatedly until you understand why

Anyone else think that Hecete is Mel from the future? Since this is a time thing game. Things that would be obvious that Hecate = Mel are covered, like an eye patch on the left eye to cover a red eye. Glove to cover that transparent bone arm. Both do that strange middle/ring finger together. Her face is covered up.
That's very, very unlikely. Hecate is a well-known Greek Goddess; it would be a strange narrative decision to conflate her with Mel.
@@keremcantarhan Yeah, that and Hades wasn't one for the wild plot twists. But whats up with that gang sign they are both throwing out. It's like an inverted 'live long and prosper'.

@@MarkW404 Oh, now that I've taken a look, I think I know what you mean. I highly doubt it has any meaning as drawing the middle and ring fingers together has been an art tradition/style since the Renaissance. You can see similar hand gestures in old paintings as well as a lot of anime. While by no means the only method, it is nevertheless a method of making the hand look natural in a 2D drawing/painting.
To expand on the explanation a little more: try to spread your fingers and observe how much space there is between each of them. You will notice the middle and ring fingers have the least space in between and cannot be spread as much as the other fingers. This is probably where this art tradition originated and certain art styles/artists exaggerate this feature of the human body.

Yep. Found out the hard way. I think after I paused like 3 to 5 times he just let me stay paused.
Imagine the chain lightning with the fast blades.
Ona side note, that "stay below 10 mana" boon seems like the biggest bait to me. Might be reading it wrong, but Unless you do a no-mana run, it doesn't seem worth at all
It's the 5 second cooldown that seems to ruin it for me. It's not hard usually to get and stay below 10 mana but it's like 20dps on every enemy? Probably to balance a no mana run but still pretty lame. Maybe with the hera cast to hit everything for 200 damage as it spawns? Still not a lot considering the hp on later enemies.
