For the last 9 months I've been living with my two dogs in an old canvas tent that's 30'x24'. As it's an Australian made tent from the early 90s, it didn't come with a stovejack so I had to make and install one, so I could heat it in winter. I also had to make a few other small mods so I could run power and lights through it.
Before Christmas about half of my neighbours got burnt out by bushfires and then we had a lot of major floods, which is Central Queensland in a nutshell. It's either bone-dry here, or it's on fire or under water.
Now that I've gotten my infrastructure in place and running (there's NO water, sewerage, power or phone connections within more than a mile of my property. Even mobile coverage is only at the front gate.) I'm working on building a house out of shipping containers. I'm looking forward to having solid walls and roof again lol.

What are the benefits of having solid walls and a solid roof? Dumb question. What would that afford you that your robust tent wouldn't? Insulation? Your major complaint is mobile coverage, don't get how a solid structure helps that

Compressor comes preinstalled as part of the mattress it can’t be removed

As a lifelong Floridian who moved to Montana six years ago, I think you should definitely do the ice fishing trip no matter what. With just a buddy heater and a shelter it stays warm In negative temperatures. Fun video fellas

I'm late Brandon, but what an amazing and relaxing video. I was wondering why Reef was not there. That was a nice surprise Brenten got you, especially with the paws on it. The camp set-up was super and so compact, really impressive. I just love how Brenten and Jayquan always sleep together, so sweet. Who cares that you have been on a break. Compassion fatigue is a real thing, so be mindful. I was a terrible break not getting any fish but there are those days. It would be a fabulous idea to see some ice fishing from you. Take some buddies and Reef and off you go. Love and respect to you Brandon all the way from Ontario.
