Thank you for showcasing my hometown 🥰 OKC is truly one of the coolest, most eclectic places in the country; it's like the best kept secret of the Heartland! ❤️❤️❤️
I love that y’all loved OKC. It’s a unique place with wonderful people and I’m proud to call it home. Thank you so much for highlighting our small big city 😍
Oklahoma one of the most friendliest people and most respectful people in America. I’m from Fort Worth Texas. I did some business out there in Norman and OKC, those were some good people out there
From a Northern Californian who grew in Oklahoma many years ago - Thank You for an amazing tour of OKC. OKC has come light years ahead of when I first visited in 1989 - just before they built the Bricktown Canal. The additions of Scissortail Park, the Boathouse District and many other attractions around the City have made this city a destination. I hope to make it back to Oklahoma and OKC in 2023 to see the beautiful new additions (was there last in 2017). Great to see Oklahoma City truly on the rise!!!
It’s is absolutely beautiful now… they have been keeping the old buildings when they can but getting new businesses in town. I used to dislike the city but now it is beautiful and even midtown is getting redone!
I was in OKC for a year, organizing a business, learning the area, and training staff. As a lifelong Texan, I came to really love Oklahoma. Automobile alley has a few of our clients, and there's lots of great places to eat. Pretty sure I have had pizza at one of the places you visited. We also provide some services for Oklahoma Tower, that big stunning building downtown.
We are now big Oklahoma fans! We never gave it a chance when we lived in Texas and we were so wrong about it. But we love that as we have traveled and opened our minds to more places that we finally gave it a visit, because it has been one of the best surprises of the year for sure!
I live in OKC and wanted to thank you for showcasing us. I have lived here most of my life and even I learned about some new things to see and eat! I was at Factory obscura a few months ago and it's changed just since I went - they are a sister company to a group of museums called MEOW WOLF - I highly recommend any of their exhibits if you enjoyed factory obscura - I have been to the one in Nevada, and Colorado and am planning a trip to hit up the one in Vegas and the new ones in Texas soon. When you come back to OKC , definitely check out the Botanical gardens, the banjo museum, and OKCMOA to see the glass art (and the restaurant). You should also look into some of the live theater groups here and see if anything is playing when you come back through - Or the improv bar. I haven't seen your channel before but will have to check you guys out. Thanks again!
They told us that they recently added that one slide! Pretty cool to know that they change it up...even more reason to go back! We have always wanted to visit MEOW WOLF, so it was cool to get an experience like it! Thank for watching!
I've lived in Oklahoma my whole life. it doesn't seem like much to me. I'm used to it. But watching your video made me realize how thankful I am to live here. its so beautiful. I appreciate the video. I needed to see this. God Bless.
Thank you guys so much for the wonderful tribute and showcase to our city! This is my home, and it's really nice to see just a few of the highlights shown to the world. You will be pleasantly welcomed, always. Cheers and love, - Jim
It makes me so happy when you guys work with cities because you are always so enthusiastic about your adventures and I leave the video with a new destination added to my (ever growing) list. I hope more cities work with you in the future because you truly do a wonderful job of capturing the excitement of visiting! We appreciate how much work you put into these videos.
Thank you so much Cassie, that means a ton! ❤️ Working with tourism boards has been a dream come true! They help us be able to do what we already try to do, but with extra support, local insight, and even more fun!
As a born and raised okie, I genuinely appreciate the tour! Y’all showed places that I’ve never been to! Thank y’all so much for your support here in OKC!
I can completely relate to how you felt at the OKC monument, as I felt something similar at ground zero in New York when I visited there in 2011. It was such a somber moment. The entire area just has a heavy spirit that can emotionally overwhelm you. The moment it fully hit me that I was standing near the exact spot where 3000 Americans lost their lives, I crumpled to the ground and wept. Such a powerful moment in my personal history, and I don’t know why I’m sharing it just to say that I can appreciate how you must have felt in this moment.
My best friend who worked for The City was walking to the Federal building as it came down. She lost many friends who worked there. We all lost at least one person that we knew.
OKC was named one of the best cities to retire in a few years back because of all the things to do, and Bricktown is the place to be!! Glad yall enjoyed it
Born and raised Okie here…. Thank you for showcasing my home! Y’all are welcome back anytime!! I really appreciate you experiencing the National Memorial. April 19, 1995- A day I will never, ever forget 😢 😭
I’m glad you liked it in OKC! My husband and I moved here in 2017 and thought it would a temporary living arrangement. But it quickly grew on both of us and now we want to make this our forever home. Thanks for showing some of the things OKC has to offer. I think most people would be surprised at how many cool things are here. ❤️
So much to see in OKC. We did an overnight there about 2 years ago and we stayed in the Bass Pro parking lot which was right next to the Centennial Land Run Monument. It was gorgeous in the sunrise the next morning. And we also visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial. So very somber, but an absolutely gorgeous Memorial.
I grew up in OkC and still consider myself an Okie first. Most of my family still lives there, so I'm there often. You did a great job showcasing the capitol city and the greater state of Oklahoma in your other video! The memorial site has to be one of the best designed memorial sites I've seen. Very peaceful despite the trauma sustained. If you lived in the metro area at the time of the bombing, the museum is a bit difficult to take in in some sections. It took me a long time before I could feel like I could go inside. On another note, another great little museum of Oklahoma history to visit, especially if you have young kids and/or a tight budget is the Natural History museum on the OU campus in Norman. It's about a ten minute drive south of the campus.
This video is one of my favorite you guys have made recently! I would have never thought there was so much to do and see in OKC. The indoor skiing looked like so much fun, I didn't know that was even a "thing." All of the food looked so good, and the art was awesome. Definitely earned it's #1 spot.
Lived here for about 15 years. Been crazy how much it's grown. Very progressive city for the state we are in. Very underrated and most people are surprised
Glad y’all found the more mountainous parts of my home state. There are many truly beautiful scenic areas of the Sooner state that most folks don’t realize exist. You even stayed in the exact same camp site at Talimena State Park where we stayed a couple of years ago. Come back anytime!!

I like how you captured the city and the way you filmed your interactions. One of the better travel videos I have seen in awhile. I'm subscribing! I loved that little history piece on the canals.

Grew up on Front Range of Colorado, the excitement was always west. In my later years I went east to OKC on a wild hair and was presently surprised. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, OKC National Memorial, and Braum’s Ice Cream are not to be missed.
Thank you for the video on Oklahoma City. I’ve lived here for over 50 years and you highlighted a few things I was not aware of. There are a few places to eat that I will definitely have to check out. The Maps projects have been a big boost to our city!

Thank you so much for helping guide our adventures by watching yours!!! We had just an evening in OKC after doing a sunrise hike at black mesa, so we picked off your video factory abscura, pizza at Halls, and going to the bombing outdoor memorial... we appreciate your videos! Safe travels (just started watching the first Mexico video released today)
What an amazing adventure! I've lived in Oklahoma all my life and have never seen most of the places you went to! I'm so excited to take my son to some of these places. Thank you for the wonderful adventure! I also subscribed! 😊
I ate dinner right before watching this but it doesn’t matter, I’m still starving now. All that food looks amazing, not to mention the activities! I knew this episode would be a good one based on the Insta-teasers but I enjoyed it even more than I anticipated. Planning a trip to OKC now!
This video was awesome. Most time I see videos about OKC it is predominantly about brick town. Most of us who live here do not really hang out in brick town that much even though there are things to do there. I love how you all highlighted different areas of the city. Next time you visit try Cafe Antigua in lieu of Kacao, it is owned by the same family I believe.
Stumbled across your video and really enjoyed it! My wife and I are an A+K too so that grabbed my attention as well as the fact that we live just 5 min away from the KOA you all stayed at!! I would say you all did a great job hitting a lot of the popular places with the help of travel OKC and exploring/explaining those locations. And now it looks like I have a pizza place to go check out!! Thanks for the awesome video about Oklahoma, us Okies really do appreciate and enjoy Oklahoma related content! Looking forward to the next video!
This was such a fun video! You looked like you had a ball! The food, the fun, the ice cream and the desserts!!! OKC looks like a great place to visit! So much to do and see! I love museums especially history so ✔! The boat tour was so awesome! I think I will watch this one again because it was so full of awesome things to do! What a very well done Memorial for the bombing victims. Thank you for sharing all of this. I agree with ya Katiebug -Adam looked good in the cowboy hat! 👍 You two enjoy the holiday season!
Love these extra long videos! It's so fun "traveling" with ya'll! Aw, nostalgia! I visited the cowboy museum with my family when I was younger and we loved it! I especially remember the indoor western town. So cool! I really want to go back now that I appreciate art and history more! Ooh that ice cream flight looked amazing!😋
Love the way y'all showed our city! Most of that was developed in the last 5-10 years. More than a decade ago, the only thing to do was in Bricktown and many would to go out of state to do anything interesting. We've come a long way.
@@moonlit.michelle I didn't say everywhere they went was new. I said MOST. Plus they didn't go to the zoo or science museum in this video. As far things to do, yeah those things been there for a long time but when I said Bricktown I was talking about restaurants, nightlife, and activities. More than a decade ago, most people I know used to go to Dallas for all that and also to get beer over 3%. Of course, every major city has art/science museums and a zoo so I didn't have than in mind when making my comment. Most people wouldn't come here from out of state if museums and a zoo was our main attractions.
OKC is one of the most underrated cities in America. It has some of the best food and friendliest people. I lived there for 10 years before moving to Austin, TX. I still visit quite often the food is way better in OKC.
OKC does have amazing food! We ate like royalty while there! I don't know that we can agree that it's better in OKC, but they do have tons of solid options!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I agree Austin prob has a better food scene, but not by much lol . Houston and Dallas have much better food than Austin, which only really has good bbq
In the early 1960’s I was a 17 and found a job in one of the buildings you featured AND lived in a studio apartment just above it. What a DELIGHT to follow your journey. We had just an evening in OKC after doing a sunrise hike at black mesa, so we picked off your video factory abscura, pizza at Halls, and going to the bombing outdoor memorial... we appreciate your videos! Safe travels (just started watching the first Mexico video released today)
Those are some of our top recommended spots! Especially if you only have one day/night! Thanks and thanks for watching!
What an amazing adventure! I've lived in Oklahoma all my life and have never seen most of the places you went to! I'm so excited to take my son to some of these places. Thank you for the wonderful adventure! I also subscribed! 😊
Wow! I never imagined that Oklahoma City had such an enormous variety of things to do!
We were blown away too!
That’s cool my buddy owns the koa.. welcome to okc that’s for showing me some places to check out. I’ve lived here 34 years
Such a cool few days in OK, I wanna go!
We had way too much fun! Highly recommend it!
I ate dinner right before watching this but it doesn’t matter, I’m still starving now. All that food looks amazing, not to mention the activities! I knew this episode would be a good one based on the Insta-teasers but I enjoyed it even more than I anticipated. Planning a trip to OKC now!
We are so happy you enjoyed it! We have been really excited to share this one ❤️
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words, Demarcus! It means a lot from a local!
I'm a local and Cafe Cacao is amazing! French toast makes me happy
Ah heck ya!
Thank you for visiting and recognizing a small city
small? the metro is 1,441,695 and the city is 681,054 and the 20th most populated city in the country
@@zebrajenks 710K and 1.5 million metro now (2022). def NOT SMALL city.
The Cowboy museum is pretty cool. Our kids (young boys) both loved it.
We really enjoyed it as well!
A truly wonderful video about OKC, very educational.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate the kind words!
Definitely booking a trip there.
We had a blast in OK and OKC! Thanks and thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I’ll keep a look out for new videos!
Loved the video! Thanks for showing us the City! The food looked great!
Thank you! ❤️
Yeehaw! Thank you so much, y'all!
@@AdventuresofAplusK 😄
Yay! Adam and Katie in Oklahoma!
Woo!
We are so glad you enjoy the longer videos! They have been a really fun way to showcase a lot about a place! The ice cream flight was SO amazing!
Love seeing Oklahoma get love
I LOVE OKLAHOMA CITY!!! It’s the BEST EVER!!!
Yeah! Live in OKC. Great city
Can totally see why it would be a great place to live!
Very well done, thank you for visiting our great City
Love the way y'all showed our city! Most of that was developed in the last 5-10 years. More than a decade ago, the only thing to do was in Bricktown and many would to go out of state to do anything interesting. We've come a long way.
We were SO impressed by how much there was to do!
The OKC Zoo, Science Museum Oklahoma, and Cowboy Museum have been there for decades.
We’ll agree to disagree. Houston definitely has the best food of all cities mentioned. Haven’t had much in Dallas area.
Loving seeing OKC in such a great way. My daughter is also a Katy bug!
In the early 1960’s I was a 17 and found a job in one of the buildings you featured AND lived in a studio apartment just above it. What a DELIGHT to follow your journey. I now live in NE Oklahoma on Monkey Island on Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Your adventure has me planning a trip back to OKC after more than 50 years . Good on you and safe journey! Cloudpants, Visual Storyteller😊
Oh wow! That's awesome! I know it has changed a ton since your last visit! Thanks and thanks for watching!
