Yes indeed. Old is really gold. I still remember those non AC First Class compartments, in which I travelled extensively in early stage of my career. Being 'junior' we were not allowed to travel 2-AC ! But I still think that First Class was real luxury... !!
This stomach lamped WAP 1 22009 is still serving in Arakkonam loco shed and aged as much as 35 years and still running between Chennai Kanyakumari or Saptagiri express or some passenger trains of Chennai Chengleput Arakkonam triangle. This beautiful monster jostling @130KM more smarter than WAP5 and WAP 7 and your footage is very great thanks for your presentation.
It brings back a lot of old memories. Travelled by this Rajadhani train in 1995 around the same time till Chennai. It was a great experience. Both Chennai and Trivandrum served by the same Rajadhani express.. Thanks once again Navaneeth
Covering 700km of distance from Nizamuddin to bhopal in just 7.5 hrs with avg speed of over 93kmph , so freaking fast man !!! Even modern now days rajdhani cannot achieve this feet !! Even India's fastest shatabdi , Bhopal shatabadi takes 8 hrs .
Mani..... sir..... u r the vlogger of 90s era....... and u keep ur treasure safe so many years......... sir.........railway is in your heart....... sir i respect a lot you sir.....thanks for providing us....our old era........
Beautiful video, sir. You are also a legend , coz of your videos, great see TN Express standing in style, old it's own colour, I must hv gone sevral times in this route , never got bored . Thank you.
Awesome video! I wonder since when did TN/Kerala get "normal" rust-brown colored livery, because I distinctly remember them both (as well as GT) having distinct liveries amongst the Southern trains back in the 80s. Despite living in Trivandrum for several years, I boarded the Kerala Express just once from BZA to TVC (used to travel almost exclusively by Coro & TVC-MAS mail back then), and I remember being amazed at how "wide" the windows were even in ordinary Second Class in the Kerala Express. It had a twin diesel engine and a fantastic livery (yellow-green I think), but it was always late back then (very long distance trains running late by 3 hours was very normal and expected back then).
Thanks! Kerala did have that wonderful green-yellow livery in the 80s with twin-diesels. In the late 80s, this was changed to cream-orange. By the mid 90s, all these trains - TN, GT, Karnataka, etc. - acquired a cream-brown livery.
Sir, I have a childhood 1990s experience of the Delhi-Mathura stretch by then BCT & AK Raj trains. My Father during his engineering college life days in the late 1960s used to travel beyond Mathura on this route to Warangal by either GT or AP Exp trains. Your footplating video is lovely. The Wappie was popular with Taj Exp & Bhopal Shatabdi in those days 🤗
Till 6.50pm day has not became dark. Great video indeed. B4 electrification TN exp was hauled by twin wdms from ED loco shed. Pranking deer was the symbol. Lovely 👌👌👍👍👏👏👏
Sir I used to travel in Guwahati rajdhani (now dibrugarh rajdhani ) a lot in 1998-2007 ... It really bring back good old memories 😊 do you have vedio which have interior of rajdhani .Thanks

Nice to see old tvc Rajdhani Sir. So, the loco change to diesel n vice versa happened at Erode right? Another interesting fact is that Palghat lost several trains when Konkan route was opened although it happened for good.
Yes, the loco change used to happen at Erode. It's true that Palghat lost trains due to KR. There are trying to rectify it with trains such as Dadar-TEN Exp., Hisar-CBE Exp.
@@ManiVijay But those are all weekly ones?? There is a lot of Patronage Demand for Dadar Tirunelveli express. Instead, they reduced the count of coaches. Palghat and Coimbatore desperately needs spme fast and Marquee trains
I think you are the only person to start shooting rail fanning videos in the 90s!
Old is gold always. Your videos are Memories forever sir.

I'm in love with that WAP1 horn.
It was definitely a major highlight of my entire trip. That melodious twin-town horn 😍😍
And that time when every train used to take halt at Itarsi... Awesome coverage. Good Old Days.

Seriously I am amazed that train those days also had 21 coaches. I guess many premium trains had 16 or 18 coaches
TN was one of few trains that got 21 coaches towards the end of 1970s itself, when it became double-headed.
Video revived old memories.
Glad to hear that!

Really miss those time red coloured coaches
Me too. That was the best Rajdhani livery ever.
Sir when is your next video upload.
Sir back then the coachenumber did not refer to the year of build?
TN had some coaches with numbers starting 99.
Correct. At that time, coach numbers did not have the year of manufacture.

Yes, it got delayed by around 45 mts, mostly at a station called Metpanjra. There was a certain charm in Rajdhanis at that time with that nice livery.
@@ManiVijay absolutely correct sir, really missing those days, kash wo purane din wapas aa paate😔☹️
Any idea on what was Trivandrum Rajdhanis stoppages in Kerala ?
It used to be Erode and Ernakulam only. Then Palghat got added.

Is that the current Trivandrum rajdhani which is currently running via konkan panvel Vasai route
Because this route is different?
That was an extension of MAS Rajdhani. Present TVC Rajdhani was introduced in 1998 after KR was commissioned.
Yes it is the same Rajadhani train, they shifted the route when Konkan railway was opened and Madras got a separate one.
Small concern, some train caches built in 98 & 99(other platforms in different stations) but ur saying video took in 1995?/
Good observation. Back then, the coach numbers did not necessarily correspond to the year of manufacture.
