One episode and you've already covered more gadgets than most websites show on their whole CES coverage. Always feels like I'm on the show floor with you. Great work
These videos are absolute gems! You cover a lot of interesting stuff efficiently. By far the most useful content on CES on UA-cam to me. Please keep up the excellent work!!
who needs to be there, if you're there. (kidding, i still wanna be there :) ) amazingly covered, looking forward to seeing the entire CES thru your lens ;)
What an amazing show today. Looking forward to the talk with SK. Very much interested in the upcoming review of your soon to be new washer/dryer combo. I am hoping you do a show on computer monitors. I wish I could attend this show once so I experience the show through your videos.
In CES 2024, the MediaTek MT6825 chip is seriously energy-efficient! My phone kept track of my entire marathon without even breaking a sweat (unlike me). Battery life on point!
That Revolution Cooking Macrowave is the same thing that our Kitchenaid Ultima cook oven does from 2002. Advantium also made them back then. They were a great idea for cooking faster, but the price chased most people away, so they didn't sell many.
This is great this is what Leo Laporte used to do back in the day but it's been a while since they did this type of on the floor reporting they have tiny little segments and stuff like that
Its good to know what cutting edge products are coming to market. A few of the items interest me. I am a bit leery of v1 products because I have had some past bad experiences where problems are not fully ironed out and to get the product working again cost hundreds more plus weeks\months of down time.
Try for a BOGO deal on the GE combo washer/dryer. My wife would like one too. Have them delivered to the North Haven Home Depot. That's probably half way between your house and mine. Thanks. Looking forward to the rest of the dispatches.
I thin k a lot of the tech here cements the fact that we really aren't going back to the office fulltime since this sort of stuff is geared toward hybrid workers who are working out of coffee shops or in noisy/busy environments
I wish one of the companies that make phone controller attachments would make a model where the dpad is in a useable position. I have been following these things for years, and I haven't seen one model with a useable dpad.
Lon, I really like your UA-cams and your personality. However I would like to suggest you get a better camera. The video is almost black and white. I watched a 2023 CES UA-cam after yours by What's Inside Family and he mentions his camera at position 12:30. Check it out for a good camera and notice the high quality of the color and Light
Thanks for your content. Enjoy your video's. Very professional. For phone controllers. Gotta work on overlays. I don't know what root is. Why i need to do it. I wrecked my s3 trying to on there for root. I kinda need a phone to make phone calls really. Having a couple of games on there is pretty cool.
overlays are something that acts as a touch when you press the button. You can place the icon for the button over the touch button so it activates the touch when you press the button. Most of the apps require root. Most cases a controller registers just fine. Game has controller support so there isn't any need. IDK. I thought it was a good idea for some games if you don't want to use the touch pad. Cod mobile only allows console official controllers and a few others. I don't know why.
Japan has had washer heat pump dryer combo units for over a decade. The problem is they dry terribly. Japan havs also had combo oven units for more than 2 decades, i find it strange that it's just now debuting at CES
I like the telescope/cellphone device, too bad for them I already have too much astronomy equipment!. I'm wondering if it really can get a good enough images of distant objects likes the sun (to see sunspots), or some of the detail of the outer planets like Jupiter, Saturn, or Uranus. Maybe its good enough for details on Venus, Mars and (I hope) the Moon.
*A company called the Chicago Radio Laboratory (soon to be renamed Zenith) starts selling what many believe is the first practical portable radio around 1923 **_or 1924._* from *Radio History: 1900 - 1950 Tubes Rule* online article. So the 100 years seems correct!
Whats the point of making a new docking station in 2024 for $140 without using usb4 or thunderbolt? Seems like a great idea for them to use preexisting components, but as a consumer why am I buying a new product without new features?
Could you please go to the Vivalanch stand among Turkish companies? Vivalanch, our project in partnership with ESWT Market, is also at CES 2024. There will also be the launch of our device used against Alzheimer's and heart diseases.
@@LonSeidman In that case I think it is totally worth the investment. I am trying to run as much as possible on solar at home. With an EV that's not entirely possible for me yet. But I am already getting pretty close. Adding some panels to my room expansion might do it, combined with some more efficient appliances.
I have a washer dryer all in one in the uk they have been around for many years the ones we have you have to empty the water it produces it takes 2 hours to dry 3 kilos of washing they are £400 for washer only or £500 for washer dryer we never use it it takes 4 hours to dry the 6 kilos of washing but if this new idea you have there is quicker then that would be great if it can dry a full load quickly find out before buying.
Actuslly, it's because they were on the smaller side, geared towards small European homes or apartments, RV, boats, etc. They also were the worst of both worlds. They needed a drain, a vent and 220v outlet. This ones is big, no vent and runs on 120v.
😅 I know you didn't mean it this way, Lon, but when you said that price of the keyboard -- you accidentally said it 'fast' like you were trying to hide the price from the listener. 🤣 Right here -- ua-cam.com/video/ajlFs92JZ0A/v-deo.html
17:04 streamed To your doctor? Bro, the goal is to get rid of these abusively expensive doctors who are never to blame when they screw up. Plus the board who examines malpractice are all doctors. Doctors investigating doctors…. ?!? The end goal is to get A.I. in.
Some of these things are very cool. Then they immediately lose that coolness by forcing their software to run on a smartphone. So what if the person who can benefit from the tech doesn't want to use their smartphone as the computer for the technology? Or perhaps the storage in their phone is maxed out or can't be moved over to a memory card? Short-sighted developers automatically assume that their targeted audience either wants to or can run their software on their persona smartphones, vs. having the controls and software running on the product itself. Then there is the whole nature of smartphone software being so damn nosy into the activities and location tracking of the customer. For me these things are an immediate turn-off. I suspect I am not the only person who sees things this way.
We will have much more throughout the week so be sure to set those notifications!
One episode and you've already covered more gadgets than most websites show on their whole CES coverage. Always feels like I'm on the show floor with you. Great work
Lon reminds of the absolute best days that tech tv ever had and I love it
That toaster is such a tech meme!
Add a little AI and you have the toaster from Red Dwarf! "Do you want some toast? How about a crumpet?"
This content is way better than any other I’ve seen so far for CES. Nicely done.
Thanks for adding the note. For a second I though you guys were The Brady Bunch.
Thanks so much for stopping by and showcasing all of our new products we have to share this year!
YESSSSSS Lon at CES, literally the best time of the year
Was waiting for this
Thanks Lon! I was really waiting until your coverage started to look at all the cool products!
More to come!
That telescope is nice. I also totally would like that GE Profile.
Excellent content. Thank you very much. Looking forward to see more content. 👍
Thank you Lon for covering the smaller guys with interesting tech. All the main sites care about are the glitzy stuff that most of us can't afford 😢
Lon I just want to say thank you for all the cool video's you do each year. I love watching your content and getting information through you.
Thank you! I do them for all of you!
Great job, Lon! Thanks for reporting on all the new gadgets for us! 😁
Thanks Lon! I check out your reports from CES every year!
These videos are absolute gems! You cover a lot of interesting stuff efficiently. By far the most useful content on CES on UA-cam to me. Please keep up the excellent work!!
Next one goes up tonight!
Really enjoy how you do these. I feel like I am there too. Thank you Lon! And your amazing team.
The little racers by carrera were my surprise highlight. 😊
First something like Anki, but if you take a closer look, it's so much more fun. 🤩
Nice first dispatch Lon and Jake. You guys covered a lot of stuff. Looking forward to seeing more.
Appreciate seeing QR codes - accessing manufacturer info sites help expand my understanding of the product. =Peace=
This was FUN! Fascinating stuff... WOW! 👍👍
who needs to be there, if you're there. (kidding, i still wanna be there :) ) amazingly covered, looking forward to seeing the entire CES thru your lens ;)
this feels like you're not sure about how many kids you have 😂
take care lon, have a great 2024 ❤
It's great that you showed so many different gadgets and the audio was perfect. But it was distracting that the video was out of focus a lot though.
Best coverage of CES on youtube thank you
Always well presented for those tech challenged and techies.
Great coverage of unique gadgets and upcoming tech. Looking forward to more of your updates from CES. Thanks.
That laptop lock is primarily something useful only to get into CES.
I REALLY hope the lockpickinglawyer takes on that lock!
What an amazing show today. Looking forward to the talk with SK. Very much interested in the upcoming review of your soon to be new washer/dryer combo. I am hoping you do a show on computer monitors. I wish I could attend this show once so I experience the show through your videos.
Good to see coverage on smaller companies and new tech.
The washer/dryer has my attention. Thanks for the heads up.
Nice showing. Looks like they have some fun gadgets to show off. I really like that telescope! 🛸
In CES 2024, the MediaTek MT6825 chip is seriously energy-efficient! My phone kept track of my entire marathon without even breaking a sweat (unlike me). Battery life on point!
The coolest mobile controller I see in CES is the ROG Tessen from ASUS! Hope to see your on hand video with it! Trust me you'll love it!
That Revolution Cooking Macrowave is the same thing that our Kitchenaid Ultima cook oven does from 2002. Advantium also made them back then. They were a great idea for cooking faster, but the price chased most people away, so they didn't sell many.
The 220 power requirement was a little bit of a deterrent too.
The Mirai Speaker sounds awesome!
Great video. Looking forward to all your coverage this week!
Lon is always the best coverage at ces
This is great this is what Leo Laporte used to do back in the day but it's been a while since they did this type of on the floor reporting they have tiny little segments and stuff like that
Great video Lon, just great coverage
Excellent coverage, Lon.
Kind regards.
Most custom mechanical keyboards are repairable. Keychron is a popular company
Thanks Lon!!! Great Video.
Thanks for sharing. The cell phone telescope unit seems of interest. I always have issues seeing with just my eye into a typical telescope eye-piece.
nice quick videos of multitude of porducts
Very good exploration!! Ie telescooe…. Heart…. Nice
LG has had a similar washer/dryer for years (at least 10 years). It also uses a heat pump and runs on 120v
Great Presentation 🫂🫂🫂🫂
The video the world needs!
Really interested in the microwave and toaster. Just hope they can find a way to knock the pricing down
what you don't want an $800 toaster?
Looking forward to the Synology booth if they have one this year
Bit of shake I noticed here that the camera stabilization isn’t catching. Might be worth running a post process for the CES videos?
Thank you thank you thank you, for this coverage format. Frustrates me that CES videos are always one brand centric
Nice you're the best
Great roundup, thank you!
Speaking off whole home battery, I think the EP cube seems really interesting.
ngl the phone cam looks like a less version of humans thing
The absolute best, thank you!!!
Funny I’m showing my age when I get excited over things like the washer dryer combo.
No audio - will check ya later Lon - have fun !
Can you cover the Mullen RS booth. They are supposed to be showing off their new RS model today.
The silent mask allows you to disturb those around you without disturbing those around you.... nice

I hope Lon gets a chance to review the telescope.
Not the first of the cone of silence masks, doubt it will be the last.
Try for a BOGO deal on the GE combo washer/dryer. My wife would like one too. Have them delivered to the North Haven Home Depot. That's probably half way between your house and mine. Thanks. Looking forward to the rest of the dispatches.
Sounds like a plan! :)

WHEN is that Rhyzome coming up on KS? I looked and nothing.
I thin k a lot of the tech here cements the fact that we really aren't going back to the office fulltime since this sort of stuff is geared toward hybrid workers who are working out of coffee shops or in noisy/busy environments
Some of this is old tech with a new name and bigger price tag.
Lon, Stay safe in Vegas... J
I hide in my room after the show :)
Lets hope he wont get the CES bug.
Those microwaves with built in oven were popular years ago in uk but they no longer popular I don’t know any one with one now.
I wish one of the companies that make phone controller attachments would make a model where the dpad is in a useable position. I have been following these things for years, and I haven't seen one model with a useable dpad.

Those all in one washers and dryers have been tried many times and they just dont work or last long at all.
Thanks for your content. Enjoy your video's. Very professional.

Not everything needs a screen just to push the price up!

One of the demo photos had a large sunspot visible but it looks like it'll provide generally the equivalent of a consumer telescope.
it’s Naya Create

See what you can find out something on the DMR Encryption on over the air
local channels being blocked out.
thx for the vid niceeeeeeeeeeeeee
Is the 110 washer dryer combo, all electric on the drying, or gas? would be incredible if it's just electric.
American consumers are dumb. Germany has had combo units for forever
Yes all electric on the drying, it uses a heat pump

I have GE Profile appliances. No comment.
I've heard of SK, when I went to Korea I saw the name everywhere. Very curious on what exactly they do.
SK = South Korea.
Sk does batteries I think mercedes uses them in their EV's
i have to imagine the reason a washer/dryer combo hasn't succeeded before is due to cost.
