Allie, I would like to answer your question. You are a Baptist. Many years ago, I was a Baptist, too. I went from Baptist to Presbyterian to Methodist and finally to Orthodox. The terms, salvation, grace, and justification, are understood in a different way by us Orthodox than the way you Protestants understand them. Faith is not static. It is ongoing. (Two minutes of faith is not enough!) Since faith is ongoing, justification is ongoing. Salvation is more than being forgiven. It involves becoming more like God. It involves participation in the divine energies of God. St. Paul said:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
Notice that he said, "Christ liveth in me." If you are not living more and more like Christ by virtue of Christ living in you, then you are not being saved. (Romans 6:15-23; John 8:34-36) Notice also that he said, "the faith of the Son of God." It is Christ's faith in us. We cannot earn God's mercy. However, if we continue to practice sin and never struggle against our tendencies to sin so that we remain slaves of sin, are we really saved? Will God override our free wills and make us obedient to Him after we die and have freely chosen to continue to practice sin? That is what some people are apparently teaching. "The gates of Hell are locked on the inside." -- Kallistos Ware. We lock ourselves into Hell when we continue on as slaves to sin. If you don't love God in this life, you won't love Him after you die either. God will still love you, but you will be unable to Him back. You will be enslaved to your passions. Loving God is demonstrated through obedience to Him. (John 14:21; I John 2:4) Salvation is more than being forgiven. It is also involves being saved from sinning.
Over 25 years ago, I purchased a 38 volume set of the Church Fathers. In the back of each volume is a Scripture index and a topical index. It is possible to use the Scripture indexes in that set of the Fathers to research the writings of the Church Fathers and see how they interpreted the Bible. I went through the Fathers looking to see which one first taught, "Once saved always saved." I discovered that none of them taught that. All of them taught that it is possible for a Christian to abandon his faith and eventually lose his soul in Gehenna. I do not believe that all of those Church Fathers could be wrong about that. Every one of those Church Fathers would accuse those people who teach the Eternal Security doctrine of teaching heresy. Even Augustine who taught predestination taught that it is possible for a Christian to have his name blotted out of the Book of Life. He was the only Church Father who taught predestination, by the way. All of the others -- even the most ancient ones -- taught free will. St. John Cassian politely referred to Blessed Augustine's doctrine of predestination as an "error." St. Jerome corresponded with Blessed Augustine. St. Jerome taught free will.
Justification is ongoing because faith is ongoing. No one is justified by dead faith alone. Some books that explain all of this better than I have are: The Orthodox Way by Kallistos Ware, Salvation in Christ by John Meyendorff and Robert Tobias, Divine Energy: the Orthodox Path to Christian Victory by Jon E. Braun. Jay Dyer, Trisagion Films, and Theoria are some UA-cam channels which explain Orthodoxy.

Sanctification and salvation are two different things. After we are saved we will have the fruits of the Spirit. We are SAVED aka justified in the eyes of God by Christ alone through faith alone in Him. We aren't made right by God by our works. What does SCRIPTURE say? You mentioned different people and what they say or teach. But that doesn't matter. The Word of God is where we need to get our information. The Bible says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
      Ephesians 2 8
God predestined believers to be His children. His grace isn't chosen its given solely by Him. He also gives us the gift of faith.
"However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness". Romans 4 5

Anyone who is asking that question really have to look at their heart. When I hear that question I always think to myself, well, what did you do to earn it? Precisely, absolutely nothing. Therefore, continue your journey. Now, if you are on the other extreme of I am saved, therefore I can live any how- brother, sister, you’ve got a different gospel, not the biblical gospel.

oops! you got it wrong there lady, reading Romans 8:30-39 DOES NOT PROVE ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED. that is the problem with the false churches like the baptist churches. of course they will teach wrong beliefs bcoz these baptist churches are NOT the church of God in the bible.
if the person itself becomes RECKLESS like the baptist beliefs, they will go to hell.
that is why people are VERY COURAGEOUS going to riots, womanizing, sex, drugs, alcoholism, depressions, bcoz they believe in the evil doctrines of the baptist churches that once saved always save. so even they worship graven images, have same sex marriages, kill, steal, take drugs, they were misled to be saved bcoz of wrong teachings of the wrong church such as the baptist churches. but if you DO NOT GIVE TITHES they will scare you saying you are ROBBING God.

Sealed until the day of redemption means SEALED. That seal cannot be broken prior to that day, saying otherwise is calling God a liar. God does not lie, our salvation is for His glory. His faithfulness is stronger than our action or inaction. Eternal security is biblical, saying that you can lose it is not putting your faith in God to hold you, but instead, is relying on yourself.
John 10:28 - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.
John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
1 John 5:13 - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
      Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Philippians 1:6 - Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
      1 John 5:10-13
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
      Titus 3:7
That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Your works do not hold onto salvation. Sanctification comes after salvation and does not in any way lead to a loss of that salvation. Christ did the finished work and we are told to solely put our faith in Him and what He did.
      Romans 10: 5-13
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
      8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
      2 Timothy 2:13
13 If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
      (Full context)
      2 Timothy 2:10-14
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself. 14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
In verse 12 it mentions He will deny us if we deny Him. Deny us from what? Our ability to reign with Him in the kingdom. When put in context it does not mean denying us of our salvation.
      Romans 3:3-6 (KJV)
3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. 5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
Turning from sin is a work, faith alone in Christ alone saves. Sanctification comes AFTER ETERNAL salvation given by grace through faith in Christ alone. Adding works for earning salvation OR holding onto salvation is heretical and spitting on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Who shed His blood in order to pay for ALL OF our sins. Meaning past, present, and future. To God be the glory forever more!
      Jonah 3:10
And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
      Acts 13:39
and by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
      Romans 3:19‭-‬28
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
      Galatians 2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
      Philippians 3:9
and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

I think it’s important to make a distinction between “once saved always saved (OSAS)” and “perseverance of the saints.” So there are actually three categories OSAS, perseverance and falling from grace. OSAS is not biblical. You can make a strong biblical case for the other two categories.

@Tree Read Romans 11:20-22. It's plain as day. If you lose your faith you've lost your salvation. If you commit apostasy and remain unrepentant until death you've lost your salvation. Read 2 Peter 2:20-22. That's just a few scriptures. If it weren't possible to lose salvation (and yes a gift can be lost if it's neglected and then thrown away) then Paul and Peter wasted their breath?

I do think that Allie is in error here. My biblical support is Matthew 18:21-35. People argue that these are examples of how if it was possible. My response is the context. Peter had just asked how many times he needed to forgive a brother, and Jesus responds with 7x77 and the Parable of the Ungrateful/Unforgiving Servant. Another is Hebrews 6 where the unknown author explicitly says "It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. " (Hebrews 6:4-6 NIV)

The Latter-day Saint view of God the Father and His son Jesus Christ is awesome. We also believe that we have a Heavenly Mother who together with Heavenly Father created our spirits and before we came to this earth we choose to come to earth and see if we would use our agency to choose to follow Christ. We believe that Christ paid for all of mankind’s sins and therefore if we choose to repent we can be forgiven. Our doctrine is simple and beautiful yet we do have some doctrine that I think is super cool and crazy but I love it. I really appreciate Allie and her show. She stands for what she believes in and she is a powerful woman of God. Much love 💕

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know there is so much confusion around my faith and I do not fault people for acting on what they know. I do have an absolutely abiding commitment to my Savior Jesus Christ. I have the faith that I do because there is not a single facet of it that does not draw me closer to him and teach me to become more like him. Sometimes we are referred to as “Mormons“ some know that this is in reference to a book of scripture we have titled “the Book of Mormon.” What seems to be less commonly known though, is that that is the incomplete title. The full title is “the book of Mormon: another Testament of Jesus Christ.” It is my experience that people can say what they may, but his nevertheless true that on every page of that book it is a testimony of the importance and reality and mission of Jesus Christ. If you are ever looking for an additional witness of Jesus Christ, I can tell you from my own personal experience I have found no more of a simple teaching, then the teaching that is in the Book of Mormon about Jesus Christ. That is in no way to discredit the amazing incredibly life-changing teachings about Jesus Christ that are in the Bible, I am just saying the witness about Jesus Christ in the book of Mormon is irrefutable and will serve you in your Christian faith as you teach others about Jesus Christ.
This video reminded me of the words from a man we consider to be a modern-day apostle, A man who is very title is a special witness of Jesus Christ. If you would like an actual perspective teaching from our modern day and time I invite you to listen to this talk. May I also just add, in this day and age if there is anything else we do not need, it is in fighting among believers. We certainly do not have to agree on every point of doctrine, but if we spend time trying to alienate or push out one group or another because of doctrinal differences, in this day and age that will lead to nothing but failure. We need to help support one another in our faith and promotion about Jesus Christ and who he is and what he came to do. I don’t want to get into everything that was said in this video, I take much of it is just simply differences of semantics and misunderstandings. As for myself I know in whom I believe and trust and worship. At any rate enjoy! And God bless!
I am also going to include a link to the churches last general conference. Certainly you are welcome to listen to as many talks as you would like, but please just scroll through the list of talks and find me the incongruent idea that we do not worship Jesus Christ.

I always appreciate Allie's passion for the gospel! I guess since I am not seeing any fellow members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints commenting here I'll chime in. Yes indeed we are Christians 😊. We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon to learn more about our similarities and differences in theology 💕

She is very good, but she may have overlooked something essential. see Titus 2:3-5 in the New American Standard (NASB) because it is very clear. As the individual roles of the man and woman (husband/wife) are ignored, the family breaks down, the children are left exposed, and the nation crumbles - the very things we are witnessing and will witness as spelled out clearly in Romans 1: 18-32, we crossed verse 28 as a nation and when the mind is gone; it is over and it is over for our nation.
      ><
Mormons have another Christ - do not fool yourself. When a Mormon says he believes in God, he does not mean in the one true God, the creator of all things, the One who has always existed from all time. He means he believes in a god who used to be a man on another planet, who followed the laws and ordinances of that god on that planet and became exalted to godhood. And, to top it all off, he has a wife who is a goddess. In true Christianity that is blasphemy. I hope you come to know the one true God of the scripture and not after another Jesus concocted by an immoral men as Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.

Emiline, I am glad that you appreciate Allie's passion for the gospel--as do I--but I'm a little surprised that you would say that since her understanding of the gospel is so much different than yours. Your statement that "through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel" says a lot about our differences. The LDS understanding of the atonement is very different than that of biblical Christianity. The LDS view is that the atonement unconditionally secured a bodily resurrection for *all* people and made salvation from spiritual death *possible* through, using your words, "obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel," which would include the works of baptism, confirmation, the sacrament, temple marriage, etc. But Romans 4:1-6 says we are justified by faith alone, apart from works. 2 Nephi 25:23 says "it is grace by which we are saved, *after all we can do"* but Eph 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: *not of works,* lest any man should boast" (KJV for your behalf).
Chapter 11 of your _Gospel Principles_ gives an illustration of the atonement by President Packer. In short, the parable is about a young man who gets into debt and is about to be thrown into prison. Then a mediator/benefactor friend comes along (representing Jesus) and offers to pay the debt himself, and the deal is accepted. Then the benefactor tells the debtor, "You will repay the debt to me and I will set the terms. It will not be easy, but it will be possible." The book goes on to say, "If we keep His terms, which are to repent and *keep His commandments,* we may return to live with our Heavenly Father." But the Bible says that when we accept what Christ did for us through faith, the debt is truly paid--we no longer have to pay anyone in order to have eternal life. We are debt free. See Col 2:13-14; Gal 5:1. Yes, we "owe" Christ in the sense of gratitude but certainly not in the sense of securing eternal life. There is a huge difference between salvation by grace through faith and salvation by works. I hope you can see what I'm trying to say.

When I read those verses about how nothing can snatch you away from God, I have always seen it as you cannot be stolen away from the love of God against your will ... but you could choose to walk away. I think of one of those famous progressive Christian women ... when one of her children came out as gay, she chose to support her child’s identity rather than cling to the truth of God’s word. In a situation like that, I can see how agonizing the choice might seem to be and she chose to walk away from the Truth (although she doesn’t see it that way). And many more similar examples out there. Of course, the love of money being a huge temptation to many people and as they draw closer to their love of wealth they move away from the Lord.
This isn’t really an argument to your point, Allie, because I haven’t researched this a ton. That’s just how I’ve always read that verse and others like it.

Eph1:3-10 speaks specifically about Christ being predestined, not any of us. When Paul talks of predestinated salvation it is ALWAYS through Christ. He is never talking about us individually. Gods plan was Christ before the foundation of the earth as payment for sins- not negating our will as image bearers of God, to chose Christ as our salvation. Hope this gets to you Allie because if you view the other passages with this in mind it gets rid of the determinism confusion in the gospel.

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
      And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
      And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:1-11)

      8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Just tossing this your way. I agree with you in some respects about his response(ability) regarding salvation. And you said that separation from him would also be just. And that is taught as mainline, or prominence right? But, those ideas are opposed to each other. Because if he is the creator and he allowed the fall of Lucifer, Eve & Adam and he is omnipotent and omnipresent and sovereign, then something doesn't add up. Because you can't have it both ways. Answer- He created this world as a prerunner to eternal life. He created the elite angel that he allowed to become ruined. And he created his son and daughter to be enslaved and taken away, by the same. So that HE would save them, in time. As we learn of his goodness, power, control, faithfulness, etc. He created sin and everything else. Although doctrine says that he can't allow it, or be exposed to it. Yet, he caused it by letting go of Lucifer, who is before him constantly with accusations. God hates sin because of what it does to us, separation, as we grow more carnal = satanic...Can some lose their salvation? Is there not freewill for a purpose? To chose Christ as he chose us? So, can you not still turn away and choose yourself/Satan/world? If it's a journey that is deepened by our walk, yet stumbling, falling, and not getting back up is possible, why can't you lose?

Understandable notion but you have to think it through. You cannot be truly saved and back out because you've already made the choice by this point. Anyone who backs out was never really saved. God's Will takes over only after our free will has made the decision. Then it is guaranteed because, "The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable." God chooses who, free will chooses God, God's Will guarantees the choice. Free will has already been freely exercised and has surrendered to the new truth that God has determined.

Romans 8:28-30: "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified."
All whom God has predestined to be conformed to Christ's image will be justified (saved). All who have been justified (past tense) will be glorified (future tense). None of the sheep that the Father gives the Son will be lost, rather, they will be found and will stay found (John 10:25-30).
There are basically 4 categories of people:

      3) Some people aren't saved and don't know they aren't saved. This is a non-Christian who is deceived as a false convert, a tare among the wheat, a bad fish among the good fish.
      4) Some people aren't saved and know they aren't saved. This is a non-Christian who is not deceived with a false conversion, but remains in their unbelief.

I understand that there are good biblical arguments for both Calvinism and Non-Calvinism. I understand that God would be totally justified to unconditionally elect some for salvation. I just think Scripture speaks directly against several features of Calvinism, such as s Total Inability and regeneration before faith. I do believe that the Holy Spirit does soften people's hearts and open their eyes to the truth before they can believe. God has to reach out to us first. I believe Scripture teaches "once saved, always saved" Mike Winger, a bible teacher on UA-cam, does careful biblical exegesis and he happens to be a Non-Calvinist. I believe that many of the seemingly Calvinist passages, when looked at in full context can be otherwise understood. Although Mike Winger usually does not talk a lot about Calvinism, he does have a few videos addressing this, including a two part series on Roman's 9 from a Non-Calvinist perspective. I agree this is only a secondary/tertiary issue and I may someday change my mind. I do believe it seems inconsistent to say that God unconditionally determines our rejection of Him, but we are still responsible. Thanks for the difficult question Q&A!!😀 *I forgot to mention that Dr. Leighton Flowers, who used to be a 5 point Calvinist, has a UA-cam channel(Soteriology 101), where he discusses this subject in depth, including his biblical perspective on passages in question.

I love Mike Winger, but his handling of Calvinism is erroneous. The truth of the matter is that he does not have a proper understanding of Calvinism and, thus, cannot properly refute it. He often ends up refuting a point that Calvinism doesn't make. He also leans Molinist, which is a heretical view. I'm not saying that Mike is a heretic. My honest belief is that he hasn't fully thought these things all the way out. His respect for the scriptures leads me to believe that he will eventually become a Calvinist because it is the only consistent view of the Bible.
Leighton Flowers, on the other hand, is a disingenuous person who twists the scriptures completely out of context. He demonstrates absolutely no understanding of Calvinism, meaning he is purposefully misrepresenting it or is lying about once believing it. No one should listen to a word the man says.

    • @michellebaran5933
      @michellebaran5933 3 роки тому

I personally understand how people could seriously look at Scripture and still have different views. I admire and listen to many Calvinists and believe they usually have a solid grasp on the Bible, but in looking at Scripture, I just have not been convinced on all aspects. Perhaps one day I will change my mind. For example, I do believe in some level of unconditional election, in that we have been fortunate enough to be born post resurrection, etc. I just don't think we are totally unable to respond to the call. I believe Scripture teaches against this. I don't believe that the verse about us being "dead in our sins" means that we can't respond, just that we don't measure up and can't save ourselves. I have often considered that maybe even though we could respond, we just don't. In that case, unconditional election makes more sense. I just believe that, from a Non-Calvinist perspective, it is more consistent that humans bear even more responsibility for their rejection of the Gospel. Either way, we are still responsible for our sin. As far as Leighton Flowers goes, I don't know if he misrepresents Calvinism, but I just think it's important to listen to different perspectives. Especially since there is such a strong online presence of Calvinism. I love Mike Winger, too, and I admire his careful study and application of Scripture. I just think we should all be humble, both Calvinists and Non-Calvinists, not be so quick to dismiss other views. And yes, we should not overly simplify or make a caricature of another view. I'm sorry this was so long! Thanks for the feedback 😀

Yes, predestination negates free will in the way you are using it. We all have a free will but not a free nature. A non-regenerate person has the choice before them to love God or hate God, but their fallen, sinful nature only allows them to choose to hate God. A regenerated person has the same choices before them, but their reborn nature only allows them to chose to love God.
As to your second question: they can't. No one can come to Christ unless the Father draws him (John 6:44).

Can you not see, Allie, that the OSAS doctrine reads something into the Scriptures that is not there? For example, the statement that no one will snatch those who have eternal life out of Jesus' or the Father's hand (John 10:28-29) does not state that the saved person cannot, of his own volition, turn his back on God and reject the gift of salvation he has been given, does it? Nor does the Word that states no one or no thing can separate those who have been predestined, called, chosen, justified, and glorified from the love of Christ and God (Romans 8:28-39) state they cannot, of their own volition, turn their backs on God and reject the gift of salvation they have been given, does it? "Irresitible Grace" is a contradiction of terms. If it's irresitible (compulsory) it's not grace. If the gift cannot be rejected and thrown away after having received it, it's not a true gift, is it? There is great assurance in knowing that neither any thing nor any person can take the gift of salvation from us. But the OSAS doctrine gives a false assurance of salvation that actually undermines the grace of God. That's where you hard-core Calvinists take the doctrine of God's sovereignty too far.

I believe personally once saved always saved! HOWEVER this is where people get confused. They say "I said a sinners prayer that means I am saved!" But they live of the world, the refuse to pick up the Bible and barely pray! I was one of them! I am speaking from my own personal account and God wants me to share it here and wherever I can! I grew up literally from birth in a Baptist Church family! I thought at 5 years old I got saved even at 7 Years old got Baptized! But later on in my life I began to feel like something was missing. So over and over again I'd say the sinners prayer. I'd think ok I am saved but I still did not read the Bible! I didn't pray much I did go to Church but it was to please my mom!
She became too ill at some point to go and once she passed away in 2018 Nov I realized in December of that year something was wrong! I feel like that was the Holy Spirit waking me up spiritually. I prayed, "God something is wrong in my life but I don't know what, please open my eyes and show me the truth all the truth!" and in March 2019 I got a Bible and began to read, I was doing tons of research on UA-cam and I found a video in Jan 2020 and it was talking about Salivation and he had some interesting metaphor too it but I don't know where I saw it. I realized that day! I was not saved! I was floored! I was like WOW! That's what is wrong. I got saved and now I know that I will be forever. I am repentant of my sins! I ask God everyday for forgiveness and Discernment and wisdom! Meekness and love as well as other things. He helped me stop having lustful thoughts which I had been doing for too long!
I put it in his hands and he changed me! I love God with all my heart about a week or so ago got Baptism done! My father also got saved April 7 2021! He like me had grown up in church he never remembered getting saved it's a long story to tell. When we were talking that April day he said that he didn't think he was saved. I tried to explain to him about how I had gotten saved in Jan 2020 but I was having trouble explaining so I asked God please help me find the right words. "I was separated from God somehow, I felt a separation between us!" and after that he got what I meant and he bowed his head and surrendered his life! Jesus is in both of our hearts and you can see the changes in us! As Christians we are on fire for God's word and the Holy spirit is in each of us like the Bible speaks of! I don't feel a lack of God in my life!

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, I find it hard to understand the source of Allie's interpretations of core belief in God, if not from the creeds of Nicea. Does she not realize these happened 300 years after Christ lived? The main distinction is that orthodox Christians kindle their own fires without direct revelation from God, relying on the arm of flesh to interpret bible verses. Meanwhile the Church of Jesus Christ believes that because Jesus Christ is a resurrected being, and that He lives, that He guides apostles and prophets to guide His people into His second coming when all the world will know who He is. I know where our doctrine comes from - it comes from Christ Himself, revealing His will to His servants the prophets. Meanwhile Allie just takes single Bible verses out of context to affirm her emotional opinions on what should be 'orthodox Christianity'.

IDK who needs to hear this, but there’s a bridge between all those supposed “once saved always saved” verses and the clear reality that people walk away from true faith - the Sacraments, which literally preserve salvation. We just have to come and stay faithful to the grace of God provided in them. And keep doing so to “run the race, keep the faith.” God predestined salvation AND you have to stay in God’s will, not your own. Sacraments are how we do that.

Unfortunately, it is absolutely possible to lose your salvation if you do not remain in christ. For example, we see King Saul lose his salvation in 1Samuel 16:14, when the spirit of the Lord departed from him. Also, the Spirit of the Lord departed from Samson in Judges 16:20. We also see that when King David sinned he asked God not to depart from him. I pray you would stop using your platform to lead people astray and correct this and your other videos.

But every passage you used is from Old Testament passages. In the Old Testament the Spirit would rest upon and leave people. After Jesus Christ paid the punishment for sin, the believer is permanently indwelled with the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5-7, John 14:26) Christ says that He goes to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)
""Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going."
      John 14:1‭-‬4
If a person rejects Christ after claiming to be a believer, it shows that they were never truly a Christian to begin with and was just playing the part.

    8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Instead we should speak of it more in terms of rejecting Christ and salvation and falling away by refusing to believe.

What do you mean by "lose"If you are truly a christian, what did you do to "earn" it? Please stop saying that.

Of course you can't lose your salvation, but it's not because of God choosing who gets saved or not but because when you get saved you become a child of God and just like how you can never lose your physical parents you cannot lose your spiritual Father❤

ALLIE, WHAT IS WRONG WITH A GROUP WANTING THEIR OFFICIAL NAME TO BE USED????????????????? NOTHING! You are a hypocrite if you correct anybody else who gives you a different name or calls you by a name which isn't yours.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wants our official name to be used because it is our real name and to lesson confusion. We are believers and followers of Jesus Christ. The official name was given to us by Jesus Christ through His prophet in the 1830's. It has been about 190 years we have used that name! We didn't switch from the official name of "Mormonism" to "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints a few years ago.

I believe in the doctrine of the sovereignty of God as taught by a.w pink but I do not believe in once saved always saved. Scriptures teach over and over again about the responsibility of the believer to keep the faith and keep the gift of salvation that God has graciously given them. It is only after one is regenerated by the Holy Spirit that they have the free will and free choice to continue in that Grace or to fall away and let it go. As long as the believer keeps believing, and even that is a grace, then they will make it to the end and in doing so they will look back and see that they were elected and predestined to do so.
All those that are elect will be saved but not everyone who taste of that salvation is necessarily elect unto the completion of that salvation. Not all who are called will respond fully to the calling. That is clear all through Scripture.

Calvin's doctrinal view on salvation is wrong. If it were correct then we should just throw John 3:16 right out the window.... That verse puts the nail in the coffin of Calvinism..
Mormons are not Christians by any stretch.. They flat out deny the Lordship of Jesus Christ just like Jehovahs Witness and Catholicism for that matter. Catholics pray to Mary not the Lord Jesus....
P.S., This is NOTHING against Allie or other Calvinists and it certainly doesn't mean that they aren't saved, THEY ARE, it just means they are WRONG... Having said all this, in the end none of it really matters, the only thing that does is Jesus Christ and the cross. PREACH THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST. IT'S WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR...

If some are chosen to go to heaven and some chosen to go to hell then there would be no reason to spread the gospel as it would do no good and wouldn't save those who heard it anyways... That ideology makes no sense, the Bible is clear God loves all and wishes none to perish.

You call Jesus God..... yet he never elevated himself beyond the SON of God (who shares the same substance). Jesus is not Yahweh/Jehovah of the old Testament but his SON who represented his father by proxy. The quotation here of Numbers 23:19 is very interesting and speaks volume.... God is NOT man .... or a son of man.....
Jesus was man.... see the difference? (I'm not mormon, just a follower of Jesus). I strongly believe in the DISTINCTION of the Trinity.
