My favorite gift is Aiden’s to Slime. The fact that it’s Korean, not Japanese, also one of the mascots for BTS, and Slime’s pure joy wearing it was absolutely wholesome and the best.

- made an oopsie and got blocked by slime on twitter so now when a slime tweet is mentioned im late to the party
- also got shingles last month, made me reminisce on aiden and his shingles
- more comfortable, it feels like you have become more comfortable with making the pods
- old set was awesome, but this whole set is super cool, and i think its like going from s to ss ranking

I've been listening to the yard since day one. I may not watch nearly as much Ludwig content as then, but I still catch every episode of the yard. The only pod I listen to. Life gets busy and serious and yall have always been a nice break from that. That part has never and I doubt will ever change even if some of you do.
i feel very similar, i don’t tune into luds streams or videos as much, but i’ve loved mogul mail and the yard. but i also don’t watch streams as much so they were right about just growing out of things

i had the same experience with an adhd diagnosis in canada too. the appointment was less than 10 minutes, literally did “oh u think u have it? heres some concerta” and sent me on my merry way
I swear there is no legit way to diagnose adhd or at least i have yet to see it used( as a person with adhd).
I think that's bad but kinda not that bad if you're adult when you can just try it then realise ok this is impacting my life negatively and stop taking it. Worse is if they do this shit with children. "Oh you think your child has ADHD cuz he does normal child things? Here lets make zombie out of him for the rest of his childhood and he can do nothing about it.
lmao in the uk it took me around a year of regular appointments and various tests and I got it relatively quickly
took me 6 months & a referral to get an appointment where i had to take 4 hours of tests & an interview. sucks that the whole process was so long but i got a packet explaining my adhd and strengths/weaknesses in detail which was nice
From what I've heard from other Canadians and people I know here in the US, I feel like it just varies so much here. It's either mirroring other plaecs that have a consistent, structured, and lengthy diagnostic process, or it's "oh shit damn, do you want adderall?" or they do the weird medical gaslighting and tell you you're just making it up before even testing anything.

I think the difference between old and new is you're all calmer now and don't tell stories as much anymore (obviously) but oddly and specifically Nick's adlibs specifically are more scarce (the ones that sparked the effortlessly cool shit)
As someone with adhd, it is OBVIOUS that slime and aiden and nick have adhd and ludwig doesnt. It is literally why i enjoy the pod.

To stay sane, I listen to other episodes that have good bits in them! Also, slime, that’s a great resolution, and you’re doing so great! Keep doing it for yourself. Also, just because you’re being kind DOES NOT make you less funny!
lud’s bit about “filling holes” def rings true for me. A year ago I worked at a 40 hour a week cubicle job and started listening to a ton of podcasts, when I got a new job I stopped listening to almost all of them. I still listen to The Yarn every week because I still have downtime at my new job, but I def have a harder time finding time to listen to the premium
For me the yard (and podcasts in general) are one of the best ways to just in general relax. It puts my mind off while playing games and for some of them I just watch them on their own (the yard e.g.)

i’ve been binge listening to the yard (and patreon) for a little over a year now. Out of other podcasts, yall have stayed pretty similar throughout, obviously with a few changes like anything. Still you guys have kept it digestible enough to listen, to where you don’t have to watch consecutively so if you miss a week you can watch the newest so without being confused about what’s being talked about. The community has also been staying pretty similar (though i am a lurker so i don’t look at that part much) and i think that really helps keep listeners over type.

I've tried two different times to get an ADHD diagnosis, the first time the nurse practitioner said I couldn't have it because I wasn't failing high school, and then the second time my doctor wanted me to get an evaluation but nobody near me accepts my insurance :) rural healthcare is great
Slime I think you would really enjoy Dr. Russel Barkley's series on ADHD. It's very informative and helped me understand ADHD better. Also helped me get a diagnosis when I was dismissed as a child because "he can read books".

when i first discovered the yard (end of 2021) i had finished a really stressful semester of college and all i did for like a month before school started was play ocarina of time on my computer and listen to the backlog of episodes and to this day i associate all of the episodes up to like #45 with that nice feeling of doing nothing all day and playing video games
As a binge watcher I definitely do the thing where I disappear for a couple months and then watch all the episodes back to back

1:29:54 this is called a hyperfixation! they last sometimes weeks, sometimes years, sometimes months, and you get so obsessed with something that your life basically revolves around it and then you completely absorb everything there is to absorb in that topic and you become bored, its a neurodivergent thing and happens with most adhd and autistic people, i recommend looking into it :D

So i've been a yard listener since the beginning and also a patreon. You have obviously changed, like everyone does. People that ride this train of ''I like the old Ludwig'' etc, in my opinion, are kinda weird. Change does not mean bad but thats what a lot of people act like. I think you've all gotten funnier and improved on things that you as friends talked about on the pod. At lest thats what I take away from the snip bit of your lives you share on the yard. Over time, I've taken away multiple things from each of you guys that changed my opinion or view on things and you have been a big impact on my personality and humor. That might be a little parasocial but I admire things about each of you and it makes me better. So as you change, I kind of change and grow too. I am very excited about everyones developement and will keep listening.
