Jarvis got the lactaid thing a lil bit wrong, milk has a sugar called lactose, and your body is supposed to have an enzyme called lactase that helps break it down, but lactose intolerant people lack this enzyme. Lactaid just adds lactase to milk so your body doesn't need to have it!

Your gut changes when you cut a food out; so, if you quit milk and try to go back, a negative reaction might not be lactose intolerance but just a gut microbiome that's not calibrated to dairy. In addition to lactase tablets, probiotics and papaya enzymes can help with these (everybody's body does not react universally to things; as always, take things slow, talk to a doctor if you can, listen to your body and drink plenty of water).
i like watching react content specifically for reality shows, like jarvis, kenny jd, and gunnar do, because i wouldn't watch them by myself but i cant deny they're incredibly entertaining. it's like watching with a friend on the couch but you don't actually have to be involved.

For the record, from a biologist, some people develop lactose intolerance if they go a long time without having dairy and then the body can readjust in the presence of the lactose and learn to digest it again
Dosing for lactaid, you have to pay attention to the serving size of dairy you're eating.👍🏻so if you're eating above the recommended serving size, you have to take more

White rice vs brown rice, gotta add that either or can be bad on the gut biome if you don't excessively chew before swallowing. The shell of the rice can sometimes go undigested and make the gut feel uncomfortable (from my own experience talking with my GI doctor... other people could be different?). 30+ chews before swallowing for the win (bad mouthfeel but good gutfeel).. or just try not to eat more than 1 cup of rice in a day

lactase is the enzyme that your gut produces to break down lactose which is a sugar that milk has. (your gut basically produces different enzymes to digest different sugars, like lactase for lactose, fructase for fructose, etc. ) People who are lactose intolerant basically either don't have lactase in there gut or the guy can't produce enough of it to digest milk properly. I'm not sure about the lactaid milk thing because I don't have it in my country but usually any kind of pill that claims to reduce lactose intolerance is basically a pill with lactase, so that your gut can use it to digest the lactose. And yes, if you stop drinking milk for a long while, your gut can be like yeah I don't need to make lactase anymore and you actually become lactose intolerant forever.
LactoJoy goes way harder than lactaid tablets! My sister and mom and I are all lactose intolerant, and she has to eat like 8 lactaid tablets (ripped packets everywhere) to eat 1 order of sausage gravy and biscuits. The lactase dosage is way too low in Lactaid tablets. It takes 3 lactaid tablets per cup of milk though, and only 1 lactojoy. Cheapest lactase enzyme might be the capsule version from vitacost probably still but they're inconvenient to bring around in a purse without a somewhat clunky pill holder or whatever. If you can still eat ice cream, you're likely fine. If you eat a half cup of ice cream once per day for like 5 days in a row and you don't have a burning stinging butthole that hurts so much a bidet can't even help (from the constant diarrhea), I feel like you can probably risk dairy still? I've read one person's blog account that eating yogurt once a day helped them build up more ability to comfortably eat dairy. Also some cheese and stuff just don't have much lactose, so no lactase enzyme supplements are necessary. Overall though, if you're lactose intolerant to the point that you need to make a dietary change, you won't likely be confused about it. If you let it go without making a change you'll end up with hemorrhoids and stuff. (OR if you get gassy from lactose, then a whole lot of it could = a really really bad gas experience)
Listening to ludwig talk about how people distract themselves with constant stimuli as I use this podcast as stimuli to distract myself 💀

The shell of the rice can sometimes go undigested and make the gut feel uncomfortable (from my own experience talking with my GI doctor... other people could be different?). 30+ chews before swallowing for the win (bad mouthfeel but good gutfeel).. or just try not to eat more than 1 cup of rice in a day
1:10:30 I love Asian mini trucks, they’ve become somewhat popular at breweries in my city for hauling stuff. Also I owned a couple and I sold one to a beekeeper who said he’d use it to move hives on his farm. Ill totally get one if I’m ever able to buy a farm
I just recently went to an automotive museum and saw Both the truck and van version of the Subaru Sambar and they are so cool!
@@evangibson149 Thats so cool! I used to have a Toyota mini truck and a Mazda B series truck, both from the 80s, they were so fun!
45:40 my dad is a physicist (certified science nerd) and i kid you not he did a little celebration in his seat when fermi came onscreen-i sent this clip to him and he thought it was hysterical
Wish I had a science nerd dad 😢
Congrats for 2 mil on the main channel jarvis!
52:21 is so sweet i teared up.
Thank you for putting chapters in because I have no idea what a hungry box is
Bro what they said about the constant content thing is wild. I was using this video to fill the silence and that comment took me right out of it lol
jordan just has so many zingers
I was around 21 when I was made aware that being aware and terrified of death isn't a normal thing to have to manage at the age of 4. I think that might've fucked me up a bit.
I had a very similar experience
1:00:00 WTF WAS THAT SHOT OF JORDAN 😭😭😭
@4:18 love the runescape reference! great pod
the only reference that makes sense in TMNT is marvel bc canonically the stuff that made daredevil go blind is what made the turtles mutants
1:05:58 This is the first time I've heard someone pronounce fides( in 'bona fides') "feedays", then I learned that British folk say it differently. But also Jordan still says it differently than the British version I heard, which was like "fie-dees"
i was so scared when you started talking about evo with my icon, but this is a safe space BDKDHDKS
I love philz! It's super sad the original Philz is closing, it's a real lost opportunity
Jordan always gives me a good giggle uwu
on the topic of reactioners and content n stuff- after a jerma stream once he raided ludwig as he (lud) was watching the tail end of a geowizard video, that couple of minutes i saw of him just watching the geowiz vid was enough to get me curious & now geowiard is genuinely one of my fav channels
not trying to defend anything but yea theres merit to showacsing content sumtime
57:12 this conversation is so interesting to me bc i've always been more afraid of witnessing death than actually dying.
Jarvis just outed himself as a genius Sim. He likes to sit in his free time and solve hard problems.
this collab makes me so incredibly happy
55:35 um don't call me out like that

ahh Jarvis your hair looks good!
lactase is the enzyme that your gut produces to break down lactose which is a sugar that milk has.
I wanted UMISHO to win strive but the crowd shots after Leffen won were HILARIOUS no one was happy
45:00 brain candy is now forever in my lexicon, thank you Jarvis 💖
