That's the most thorough boat tour I've ever seen. I'm surprised he didn't take off the oil filter to show you the inside. Lola could get lost in a boat that big!
After growing up on a boat (till I was 15 and all I wanted to be was a "normal" kid with a house and a backyard) then watching your shot of the outboard leaving your boat at anchor just triggered so many memories now that I have been away from living on a boat for 20 years. Now that I am a land living adult I miss my old back yard. Thank you Wes! P.S. ATTENTION BOATERS: If anyone knows the location of my parents old boat that I would LOVE to buy back and you never know, it may be at Anchor right now with someone watching this Videos. It was a 43' 1991 Medmarine custom cutter rigged (Mostly kept as a sloop) out of South Africa, the mold was actually the Monte Cristo mold but my father designed the interior in a unique way. All three staterooms were from mid ship forward and the Salon was in the stern.. At the time of sale the boat was named PARASOL and was b headed to the Annapolis area, the . The stern Port & Starboard not on the transom but on the sides. If you have seen the boat please reply! Thank you!
Yes. I enjoy tours of 35-40' sailboats that are being lived on because its so much more interesting than just a boatshow walk-thru. Its nice to hear the owners own story of how he/she came to this type of life. Thanks
yep, I guess I used a strong word. People on or off a boat, living in a house, boat, van, deep woods, city, mountains, beach or another country....people can be weird, strange or different. Not the worse thing to be. I owned 2 sailboats and sail often. I enjoy Wicked Salty lots....I think I'm on the right channel. Thanks :)
Josh obviously knows his way around a sailboat. It’s nice to see someone that knows and follows the COLREGS. He has a healthy respect for the sea and is well trained and prepared. I love the way he keeps his boat organized and ready to sail. I wish he had his own channel. I’m sure I could learn a lot from him. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video Wes & Kate...it's good to be able to see what sort of boats people are actually out cruising on !!! Pls do more of this for us...everyone out there has a story to tell !!!
alice coppers Jump onboard. I’m not as active on UA-cam as I am on Facebook, but I’ve been posting videos for years and will continue. Not as good as Wes & Kate, but ya know. 😉
Nice one guys, who doesn't enjoy an old boat tour by someone who knows it inside out?! Josh has great energy. There's so many great builders with interesting designs and additions that can be adopted and implemented in ours. My takeaway: Fold down writing station table, fold down cabinets (coffee station), never knew a concrete hull existed (!), fire extinguisher everywhere you sleep.. in case *you* are on fire.. that old design of a berth above the settee - by getting in it, he shows how much bigger it is than the camera reveals, and you don't need a fancy $4000 mainsail traveller, wow. I like the coach house / deck salon (DS) design with high ceiling and especially separate two-level galley and salon as well. Easier of course on a 40'. Old boats can be mighty fine - some say the best-built boats were made in the 80's, we just have to spend a little extra to modernize them. You should do this sort of episode wherever you anchor when possible. I'm going to, a fan favorite for YT. =) Well done and thanks!
Enjoyed this video very much! Josh seems like a cool guy to hang with. His passion for his boat is vastly evident in the ship shape manner in which he keeps it.
I luv this guy!!!... Do an interview and get some back ground for us... He is the real deal... " may need to fight your way out"...luv that..He seems like a cool Skipper, someone you want to have a few drinks with and here about his adventures
Not only cool boat, but cool story teller also! "Drink to forget your boat problems", Wes and Kate would be suffering from alcohol poisoning after what they've been through. I've got 99 problems, but a boat ain't one! Truth is I envy these guys!
That's the first time I've ever seen the inside of a ferro-cement boat. I don't know what I was expecting, lol, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice interior and layout. Thanks for the tour, and thanks Josh, for letting thousands of us YT'ers have a look around. :)
Always have a fire extinguisher at ✋ ! The legacy of that type of cement boat is the older they get the stronger they get ! Doubt the hull would burn !Thanks for sharing 😎
BKeppel28 Temora’s new owner lives in New Smyrna and he keeps her anchored near the bridge. Sold in January 2019, a little before the release of this video. Temora is no longer under my command.
Loved the tour of the boat. Your editing made for a very enjoyable video. Keep it up guys and yes I like the interaction with your followers. Hopefully we will meet on the water in a year.
Quite a few 'Ferro Cement' boats built here in the UK over the years. Very strong and durable if professionally built, also very cheap to buy second hand because people are wary of what is not a normal construction type. They are long lived but get a bad name from the amateur built boats which people do in their back gardens. Once corrosion gets into the steel frame within the cement, its very expensive and time consuming to repair. The cement equivalent of Osmosis!
great video, I'm watching it from onboard my Endurance 35 also built by windboats out of ferro. mines not as tidy as she sits on the hard waiting for a new engine transplant but they are great boats in a blow, safe as houses. Two of the Golden globe race boats were Endurance 35's although they were grp not ferro.
Very good video. Would have been better if you had a shaving commerical somewhere in the content though. LOL. Keep up the good work guys and I hope to run into Josh one day and have a beer with him and listen to more stories. Cheers.
Love the Endurance 40 - What a well laid out craft. Thanks for sharing that. I've now found and subscribed on Josh's UA-cam also. Great to see that safety is always in mind. Moss. (Endurance 37)
Accent on safety (day shapes, fire extinguishers, 6 point boom control...), Emphasis on equipment model, type. Sl555 anchor windlass, 66 lb Bruce anchor,,,. Haircut week-old high and tight. Finally he's from NC with the original twang. My guess is a veteran. Navy type? Nice guy good sailor.
Tours: its a good thing to do from the viewers perspective, Ive been told it can be a little personally disconcerting if fall in love with someone boat though .. and dont think that doesnt happen have a good one....
Very sweet boat tour !👍 love vids with tours of different types of boats. Keep up the great content you guys you have fast become one of my favorite channels without a doubt 😉👍👍⛵️⛵️⚓️🐕
i saw you guys passing bill and sierra on their video. Finally wes is in shorts , I felt so bad for you and kate on the way down ... Holy frozen Popcle batman !
Great boats, seen many in the U.K. love the comment, leaks a bit of oil but it’s a British engine so you gotta expect that lol. Ain’t that the truth. The guy keeps a very tidy and simple ship, that’s the way I like them. Andy UK
Thanks for the comment Andy. I’ll tell ya, that ole British Leyland may have leaked some oil, but it was certainly a reliable engine. Always started and ran like a champ.
First off, Wes & Kate, love you guys. This video was first class and there’s not enough thanks to show my appreciation. All you Salty subscribers, you all Rock!!! Reading these comments honestly just felt good. 207 comments and even with my accent, all feedback was positive. 🤣🤣 But seriously, there’s more appreciation for your words than can be expressed. As for Temora, I sold the Endurance 40’ to a friend in January 2019, a couple months before the release of this video. The new owner lives aboard the boat in New Smyrna, Florida. His name is Brent. Say hello if you steam or sail by. The boat is at anchor just off the ICW south of the bridge. S/V Temora is no longer under my command. For those saying I should have a channel, you’re welcome to jump aboard and keep up with any adventures I may be sharing. I don’t post regularly as motivation to sit in front of a computer often runs low, but the creative spurts come and go. So follow along. Buying a new boat this week anyway and you’re going to want to be there to see it. Pour the Rum!
That's the most thorough boat tour I've ever seen. I'm surprised he didn't take off the oil filter to show you the inside.
Lola could get lost in a boat that big!
"You might have to fight your way out." Love that.
As soon as he said that I thought, I like this guy!
Officially my new motto. Fits every situation in life.😀
Perfect threat assessment, decision and action plan.
Knows that a ship is always potentially a death trap, Seemed like he had military training specifically on ships maybe Navy, marines,or Coast guards..
I went and bought one of these after seen this video . I must agree that are a great boat .thanks for the video and the tour
One of the best tours I've seen. Dude doesn't stutter.

This guy is smooth and runs a tight ship. I usually don't like boat tours and the weirdo's but this was cool ;)
Ya Josh is a good' ol boy. Most honest guy we know..
Weirdos? If you think people living on boats are weird, your on the wrong channel.
yep, I guess I used a strong word. People on or off a boat, living in a house, boat, van, deep woods, city, mountains, beach or another country....people can be weird, strange or different. Wayne Federico Much love Wayne. New adventure in the works as we speak. Keep a lookout on FB in a couple weeks.
Quite a set-up on his sailboat, he sure is ready for whatever comes his way or wants to do, impressive .
Great guy. Great boat. I like his vibe.

Yea, this is a really cool boat layout.
What a fun character. And that drawl. He would do great with his own channel.
Lucky Goose Carolina sounding for life. 🤣 I do have a channel but I’m better at being filmed than making films. Stay Salty. 🤙
This is the best part of boating the people on the way are part of your journey....
Really enjoyed the boat tour, well edited too, quick and snappy. Yer more of these, and stories of what they have modified for their needs.
Thanks
Love seeing how someone else sets up their boat. Thank you for this.
Enjoyed this video very much! Josh seems like a cool guy to hang with. His passion for his boat is vastly evident in the ship shape manner in which he keeps it.

This guy is quite a character! Definitely enjoyed his style. You guys know how to pick out talent. Look forward to more live aboard videos.
It always works if you're willing to work. Great quote.
Guy knows his boat, great video salty
Yes, very cool. This is one fella that needs his own UA-cam channel!
Dude seems confident and runs a tight ship but seems laid back. Like his style.
Al M I Appreciate that.
Not only cool boat, but cool story teller also! "Drink to forget your boat problems", Wes and Kate would be suffering from alcohol poisoning after what they've been through. I've got 99 problems, but a boat ain't one! Truth is I envy these guys!
"Got 99 problems but a boat ain't one." Love that, ha!
Gotta be from Alabammey, plus ex-military with his draw of Skivvies. Like that dude. He seems real.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Cool video. Definitely would like to see more tours of boats😎

Lovely boat.
Great boat tour. Well done video. Do more of these tours.
Excellent. Thanks to the salty Captain for the tour. Yes. More please.
.
I saw this boat this weekend and tonight in New Smyrna Beach, just South of the SR44. Interesting character and equally cool boat tour.

OK, now I must get back on the water. Really enjoyed this!
Loved the guest, great use of nautical terminology
Great video. Internet search engines just recorded a spike in queries for Endurance 40s! Seems like a pretty cool dude as well.

Good show through. Makes me realise what I am missing out on my 40 foot boat
Very cool! Enjoyed this episode.
Very cool tour
Nice boat Rosko
Great boat! My kind of setup! Some great ideas there like the fire extinguisher at every berth . . .
Have you done any big crossing on this vessel?
Awesome. Always interested in boat tours. His was very orderly, simple which makes for easier cruising. Nice job fella.
He's a character.
What a nice sailing vessel! Looks roomy and fairly sturdy.
I have to admit that I didn’t know sailboats were made of concrete.
I guess at 53 years old I am still learning interesting things daily.
You always make me smile man, Up to my elbows in a trans rebuild right now, and could use some time sailing.
Good concept if its interesting not just the boat also ask for sailing or cruising stories would be a great twist...
i saw you guys passing bill and sierra on their video. Finally wes is in shorts , I felt so bad for you and kate on the way down ... Holy frozen Popcle batman !
