When you first purchase the card, it should come with 1 year of updates. After that you can renew your subscription or buy a new card at a discounted rate.

@@rdeschamp7121 it is definitely worth updating. From the factory, the maps show contour lines at 5 foot depth intervals. The sonar charts maps usually have 1 foot contours.
Ok i live in nova Scotia with alot of little lakes that are around me will they pick them up.. but thanks so mush for answer was very helpful trying to get in the bass masters tournaments around here and be nice to have up dated maps lol but thanks again

Yes, that should have the ability to update your maps to the HD mapping.
Can the charts be updated by the unit if you connect it to your phone?

What do I do if my sd card is not recognized on the update screen? Probably 5 years old now. And it works in my HDs gen 3 touch.
I've had this issue too. You need to contact navionics support and they can get it reinitialized.

@@ivanzivanovic4013 if you bought the card used, it won't be eligible for updates. It's still usable for whatever the previous owner had downloaded.

Try buying the micro sad card version for about $200. That will fix the problem, or at least Navionics says it will.
