Having just bought an old Hyundai for a beater car, I managed to get this exact head unit. It works surprisingly well. The remote control...not so much. But at least I can drive to work with music now, instead of just engine and road noise. Not very loud (still running the stock speakers) and decent quality as long as you don't crank it up too much. Not bad.
Nice review pretty useful. This unit looks pretty decent for the price range! Been looking for something like that for my old car i think i 'm going to give it a shot. Thanks buddy! Shout out from France...
On most of these Cheap android radios, you cannot listen to AM/FM music while carplay is running. It is as though it has to switch apps and the radio app is no longer there. If someone else gets this to work, please let me know!
I think I'm gonna get one too for my ae 110 corolla I recently bought off a relative I do think I'm gonna need to modify something so the unit fits snuggly. Wish me luck.
Whats the loudest volume number setting? I bought a few cheap single dins and the loudest they go is volume 40 which is too low for me. How does this atoto hold up with volune and loudness?
The bluetooth connection is pretty aggressive... I don't want to receive calls on the BT kit, but somehow it keeps connecting. Even deleting the connection on my phone or switchi9ng off BT, NOTHING works!!! This drains my battery pretty fast. I have to unplug(!) the radio, delete the BT link om my phone, and only then it's gone. However, next time I connect wired: BAM! Full BT connection again. Anyone know a workaround for this? I want to use wired connetcion only, or at least have a choice.
@MarcelVanderWerf I get it but when you have multiple Bluetooth devices connected, that’s what tends to happen. I’ve had calls switch over to my watch during the call which is super annoying. It happens a lot and not just with this unit. When I’m in my dump truck I generally have my CarPlay, my headset and watch app synced up to my phone. Most of the time it works out but every now and then my watch will pull the call in mid-call. Annoying but it’s part of the game.
Can you comment on sound equalization? Does it stay pretty even toggling between radio and blue tooth, or do you have to adjust the equalizer when going between inputs?
To be honest, I generally only use Android Auto. I hardly ever listen to radio. I haven't noticed any difference between Bluetooth and Android Auto though.
For a young person first starting out with little cash to deal with this sounds like a great option.
Yes it is. So far
@@ChadsGarage1how has it been holding up? Been thinking of trying out one for myself
I like how it fits a single din unit location. I might have to get me one. God bless brother keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy! You should put something cheap yet cool like that into your new truck.

Thanks for the comment!! It’s definitely a good unit! 🇫🇷
I’m really surprised how nice it is 🤗

Looks like a pretty nice radio.
Very nice for the money!
Is the folded screen on the bottom a screen protector, i got one but i dont know if its a screen protector or what
Yes it’s a screen protector.
I’ll have to keep this in mind when I decide to upgrade my Trailblazer. I need that calculator! 😅
Yes! Calculators are very useful especially when you are driving!
Do you know if can you view backup camera without going in reverse? Thanks
You can simply hook it up to a toggle switch and turn it on that way
@@ChadsGarage1 thanks

is there anything in the settings that let's your flip the display 180? I would need to install this upside down with my car's trim

Good luck!! 👍🏻
Did you have to modify? I'm installing one today on a 2001 Corolla
@@Drop_N_Chop_LLC I think the only thing I had to do was to extend it further forward so the top could clear the dash. Other than that, no.
You got me, I was wondering were that accent was from 😂
No accent lol
Do you know the factory reset password?
Does the sound come through the car speakers or does have integrated speakers?
Car speakers.
I would assume it's a wired Android Auto?
I believe so! I’ve slept since then and that vehicle is long gone! Lol
Can you install any apps on the radio itself?
I’m not sure. It does have an SD card slot so I suppose that’s how you would do it but can’t say for sure.
Hey, does it support any kind of video format?? Can i watch videos froma memory stick?? Also, wifi?
I don’t believe it has WiFi. You should be able to watch video off a memory stick but make sure the emergency brake wire is grounded.
Did you download the app to get the android auto to work?
I have an iPhone
@@ChadsGarage1 so you just connected the phone and car play started working?
@@Je_luna Apple CarPlay is built into Apple phones. Have to connect with WiFi or Bluetooth.
@@ChadsGarage1 yes but for me it didn't. Connect. Only the Bluetooth but my maps didn't

Does static noise come out of your speakers when your phone or usb device is connected?
No it is surprisingly clean for what it is.

Sold the truck so I can’t say for sure but none of the cheaper ones are going to sound great at max volume. That’s where you’ll want an amp.
@@ChadsGarage1 does the volume go all the way to 100?
@badboytek973 no
Do you have any idea what voltage the preamps put out? Their Amazon listings doesn’t show if it’s a 4V output on the RCAs for the amp?
@@TheGodofSEO sorry. I do not know.
@@ChadsGarage1 do you happen to have the manual?

Just delete the radio from your BT list on your phone
@@ChadsGarage1Switching off bluetooth would be more practical, but doesn't work. Deleting means I have to pair each time I want to use it.

Will this head unit work with a 4 speaker set up and a 150w amp to a 10in sub?
