Tor Vergata is the 2nd university of Rome. The university could easily be served from two subway stations (Torrenova and Torre Angela), but between these two stations and the university there is Viale della Sorbona, an uncrossable highway.
The City of Rome has proposed a streetcar to bridge the gap, and carry the students from the Subway to the University, but the Dean has rejected the proposal, as the streetcar noise could disturb the lessons.
So, now we want the university to reverse its decision and approve the project.

(Verse 1)
By the edge of the city, where the subway hums,
Two stations stand, but the journey's far from done.
Torrenova whispers, "Come this way,"
Torre Angela calls, "Don’t delay."
But between them lies a road so wide,
Viale della Sorbona, with no place to hide.
A highway stretching, cold and gray,
For a lonely pedestrian, there’s no way.
(Chorus)
Oh, Tor Vergata, you’re close yet so far,
A dream on the horizon, like a distant star.
No bridge, no path, no crosswalk to see,
Why is it so hard to walk to thee?
(Verse 2)
The wind carries stories of students’ despair,
Stranded by the subway, left standing there.
The engines roar, the asphalt burns,
Every step forward, the hope adjourns.
Imagine a world where the roads unite,
Where a student walks through the morning light.
No fear of traffic, no endless wait,
Just open arms at the university gate.
(Chorus)
Oh, Tor Vergata, you’re close yet so far,
A dream on the horizon, like a distant star.
No bridge, no path, no crosswalk to see,
Why is it so hard to walk to thee?
(Verse 3)
The city had a plan, a tram to glide,
From the subway doors to the campus side.
But the Dean declared, "That won’t be so,
Let the students walk, let their struggle grow."
The professors nodded, their verdict clear,
"No easy ride shall bring them here.
They’ll earn their steps, they’ll feel the pain,
For knowledge, they must endure the strain."
(Chorus)
Oh, Tor Vergata, you’re close yet so far,
A dream on the horizon, like a distant star.
No bridge, no path, no crosswalk to see,
Why is it so hard to walk to thee?
