    I'm planning to buy the Asus ROG 5s. But the reviews say a lot about motherboard falling and many more issues. I'm hoping to use it for 4-5 yrs. But after reading the reviews I'm not very confident.. I also think I should go for the new Asus ROG 6 instead... I'm on a budget and idk if I should go for ROG 5s with 12/256 or ROG 6 with 12/128... @@ribbytrivia the Asus ROG 5 12/256 and ROG 6 12/128 is at the same price. Only like $50 difference. The phone will be only used for gaming and only PUBG mobile, apex and an MMO like genshin will be installed only those 3 games.. I'm just wondering if that's enough space for 128 storage. Plus u need free space for apps to run as well. If not unfortunately I have to go with the rog 5. I just need an answer/ a reason to choose the ROG 6 over ROG 5

      @@michaelmike8411 Consider these...
      - Have you ever seen anyone post just to say they love their phone, or their phone has no issue? Probably never, since when you are satisfied with the device, you never really post it. But when you encounter even the tiniest issue on your device, your tendency is to post it. So, in the end, you only see the negative posts.
      - How many negative posts you've seen? Maybe around 10, or 20 max? Even if it is 100 posted issues really (I doubt though that it's that many). Now, think how many millions of units has been sold? What is the percentage of those issues compared to the total units sold? It's miniscule.
      - Is there any difference on TOG 5/s situation compared to other flagship devices out there? It's the same thing even for iPhones or Samsung or Oneplus or any other brand. There's also around 10-20 issue posted somewhere. If it is the same anywhere, and you have these doubts, you basically won't buy any device anymore.

      No matter what brand or model of phone, you will always see negative comments. That's because people will immediately post an issue on their device to ask for help. While people who enjoys and are satisfied with their phone will not post anything. So ita normal to see negative things about the phone. But if you think about it, take note how many have issues with rog 5, then compare that to how many MILLIONS of units they sold. You'll realize that the issues is only but a tiny fraction.
      Also, since this is a gaming phone, many of them experiment in installing new ROMs and mods, which usually is the cause of issue. Many also buy the cheaper China version then replace the ROM with global. And many other user-inflicted issues

      I can't speak for both phones as I don't own any of them. But you're not wrong in the 888 heat. They are bearable but it does consume more battery than usual. My ROG 5 (not S) feels just like 4k to 4.5k mAh because of that (instead of its actual 6k mAh). Also, as a rule of thumb, I'd always go with the latest chip for future proofing, and newer chips are way more power efficient.

      @ribbytrivia  Рік тому

      That's not a valid excuse for the weak battery. The feature is there to use, not to avoid. I always use it on my other phones with less mAh capacity, and considering that ROG5 has 6,000 mAh, it lasts just like my other phones 4k mAh.

    • @ribbytrivia
      @ribbytrivia  Рік тому

      @@emugss1201 IDK what you are talking about as well 🤣
      You said my SOT is low because of ambient display.
      Ambient display is a feature of the phone right? And I want to use it. In your first comment, you are implying that I should not use ambient display to increase SOT.
      And what I am saying is, you shouldn't sacrifice features that you want, and always use, just to have a better SOT. If you need to do that... it just proves that there's a problem in how the phone handles the battery efficiency. That's my whole point.
      BUT... just to be clear, I am not saying that ROG5 battery is trash. I was just expecting more. I came from OP7TPro with 4k mAh before switching to ROG5. Thus the expectation for longer batt life. But, to my surprise, ROG5 last just as long as the OP7TPro.
      And I do understand that Snapdragon 888 is mostly to blame here. But that doesn't mean that my expectations is not valid when I got ROG5.
      Anyway, thanks for the healthy discussion. Appreciate it.
