The word kickstart is older than Kickstarter itself but we've become so used to using the website to mean backing/crowdfunding something that it is hard to kick the habit.
It's like in my country where Colgate is synonymous with toothpaste, Xerox with photocopy, and Coke for any type of soda
I usually say "backed" or "KS'ed" or "crowdfunded" but it really does not feel as right as "Kickstarted"

I'm going to take a guess that you just backed on day one (or when you heard the GameFound page was up) and didn't follow the updates/stretch goals
Illustrated encounter deck - They released one for Vols 1-3 so that it would be compatible going forward (with some tweaks to some roles/mechanics) and you can make one giant pile of all 4 encounter decks if you wish (or any combination thereof)
edit: also, what they did with the Expansion was awesome in my opinion. I can actually use the expansion beyond the extra roles and races

Yeah I tend to back and then try to sort of forget about it. It makes for more surprises when the game arrives.
