I have to imagine a 3 housecat / 2 hero party is dramatically more effective, but I also imagine it gets played far less often on the premise of being much less silly.

I'm really curious to see the spells on level 10+ characters. Are they gonna be normal, or will it generate some insane shit?
The cat team took me up to the final level of nightmare. Unfortunately that level had 2 Slates which had a million health and all damage sides that dealth 15(?) to the entire party.
Slate times 7.5??
@@Amberelocke Don't know the exact times. I couldn't save all the cats, and they were valuable because they would reuse sides that could copy my heroes' best die. Which didn't matter because it was a huge damage side that will only deal 1 damage to the Slate, and the other which gave a lot of mana, but that didn't give enough bursts to kill one slate in the turns before they whittled me down.
I've won a nightmare run with it (though it was a round that started on easy, I had on unfair that got to 28)
Won a Unfair > Nightmare run with a 5 greens team. Took the class change on a housecat part way through though so I didn't get to see the level 15 or whatever generates. Dispel was a huge asset in nightmare mode. Also, had a 1keyword > 18 damage tactic that carried me through a lot of fights while levelling up the second green. And I got emerald satchel at one point, but couldn't equip it because I had a tier 0 item that granted -2 item slots. These runs are just hilarious.
Got a heavenly mode into nightmare win with four cats and a mage.
I remember the slate being the last boss, pretty much. I tried with a fighter, but the slate hard countered my rampage side...

I think the best colour for this kind of run would be red. A 200 heal - vitality can just win every fight. Can go full pacifist.
Could still possibly die to pain sides, but yeah, red is probably the most reliable, with access to mana sides, revives, cleanses, regen and vitality. Grey is pretty good for the same reason. Also, blue or red should give access to generate spells, which get whacky all on their own.
Yeah hard agree. Red gets generate spells, and also a surprising number of damage sides - poison, self heal, weaken, etc.

Man, it really is unfortunate that the entirety of the generate lists are *all* just gambler.
We do see a touch of Dabbler sides and ranged and/or poison sides, but it definitely would be nice to have equal Orange representation.
I had fun the other night when I got a house cat an then the full moon trinket. Damn werecat in my party going off! I did win the run too thanks to that housecat.
You should take this team into nightmare, 4cat can get you deep enough to see the real insane shit.

The whole way through choosing the last hero to fight Hexia, I was yelling at my phone to not pick the cantrip attacks. That’s the only thing you can’t undo. If that had rolled, it would have been 4 cats vs. 4 imps and the rmon. Might have been fun to watch. ;)
