WOW! A world class interview with a world class breeder/owner/handler. Wonderful stories and LOADS of useful information. The interview reminded me of a conversation my wife and I had with D. Hoyle Eaton at Killdeer Plains, Ohio the year his Rex's Cherokee Jake won the International Pheasant Championship. Hoyle would talk the truth and take the time necessary to tell a great bird dog story. There is something endearing and entertaining about these southern country gentlemen. Hoyle Eaton was the real deal in my judgement and Mr. Lester appears to be cut from the same cloth. Clearly both men knew how to prepare a bird dog to run on the Ames Plantation. By the way ... Rex's Cherokee Jake went on from his victory at Killdeer Plains to win the National Championship for Hoyle. Congratulations on a great interview. I tip my hat most sincerely to Mr. Lester!
