Checklist does not have to be uploaded but it is good if you do. I had 10 of cases where Checklist was not uploaded and had absolutely no problem whatsoever. Anyways, thanks you for taking through all these!

Some countries have Free To Use centres, where youndont have to pay for the appointment itself. That of course, if you're applying from outside the UK
for the tourist visa, do I have to fill in and sign pages 5 and 6, writing and ticking the documents I need to provide at the same time before uploading them, or do I just have to upload them as I receive them and wait until the day of the appointment to do so?

Hi Anna, I am South African but a resident on the Isle of Man, Will the VFS system allow me to book my biometric appointment for Liverpool? There is no option in my visa application on the UK GOV website to select this in advance.

Hi ive gone to the appointment after been voided about 6 times..on the 3rd i gave my biometric and the assitant said everything is okay....i lost my card with indefinite leave to remain! Been here 22 years and i msged home office with uan number and they said i dont have a active application!! I been waiting 9 months!!!!

Hi there! If you haven't attended your Biometrics Appointment yet, you can still upload any documents you've missed. Once you attend, you won't be able to upload anymore.
If the Home Office requires more documents or they need clarification, they can contact you for more info. All the best with your application!
Hello Anna, thank you for the helpful video. I am a New Zealander attempting to get the Uk youth mobility visa, however, I am already in the uk for travel and tourism. Do I have to leave the uk to apply? The website won’t allow me to supply my biometrics in the uk.
Hey there! I believe you have to apply for that visa outside of the UK. You can officially enter the UK after your visa start date.

I started my application and paid for my IHS and qn email notification for a successful payment. But upon logging in to continue my application i am being requested to pay for IHS again.
Please waht should i do.
I would check your bank account to see if the funds have left. If the money has left your account and it's confirmed you've paid for it, I would contact them directly to question the second charge.

You need a CAS number, without it you can’t apply

I would speak with your UK school on what documents they ask you to bring or what you need to prove.
Hi Anna, does the TLS really keep your passport for the whole time of the Visa Application? So once the Visa is approved (hopefully) we have two options: 1) Pay the fee so the TLS sends the passport my address or 2) following their instructions and collect it. Is it how it really works? I think the fact they hold the passport for a long time is just strange to me. Thank you!

Hi there, for doing your appointment from inside the UK, do you know when you get given the option to choose priority service? I didn't see it when submitting and paying for my application so I was wondering if the home office contacted you after to offer it.

Hi! If that visa is eligible (or if the UK is still offering it), you should be offered the choice of Regular or Priority service when paying and submitting your application. The Home Office won't contact you afterwards, only to send you result on your application. If you've already paid for a regular application, you won't be able to change it to Priority after the fact.
@@introvertedexpat Thats odd because when i first applied back in January (from outside the UK), i got an email asking if i would like priority service. I replied yes and was sent a payment link. My visa came in less than a week.
Now i'm trying to switch visas and i didnt see an option for priority.

Well shoot - I did not upload my checklist to the biometrics! It never told me to, I showed it to the people at my appointment and they said "cool thanks" and handed it back. What happened when you were told you needed it uploaded? I didn't even sign it because it said to do it at the appointment but they never asked me to!
I don't think you can do anything after you've attended your biometrics and they've officially submitted everything you've uploaded to the Home Office. Just wait and see 🥲 they might have changed the rules and aren't requiring it, or they might contact you to upload it before making a decision. You could also reach out to the biometrics people directly and explain if missing the checklist will be an issue for you 🤞
good day, what if I did not upload my checklist when I uploaded my documents but am yet to go for my biometrics appointment. will this be a problem?
If you haven't attended your biometrics appointment, you can still upload your checklist. At the appointment, the biometrics people will submit all of your uploads for the final time.

You can still upload it before attending your Biometrics and they'll submit it on your behalf at your appointment. If you bring it to the appointment, they may not be able to scan it because you didn't pay for that service
Hi Anna, my daughter’ is relocating her to London (2yr skilled worker visa) from Ontario, if she goes to the VAC in Toronto, does she get her biometric card mailed to her ontario address before she leaves or does she need a London address to send it too?
I've not done a 2yr Skilled Visa before BUT for all my visas that I applied for while in Canada, I've always picked up the Biometrics card within the UK during my first week. They usually ask if you have a local post office you want it sent to, otherwise you'll need to collect it from someplace in London.

Yes. There should be checkboxes for all the documents you're supposed to submit, just make sure to check those off and submit the checklist itself with your application.

I am writing to seek assistance regarding the visa application process for my mother. We have completed all the necessary steps, including filling out the online forms and paying all associated fees. However, when we attempted to schedule an appointment at the British Embassy in Berlin, we were prompted to pay an additional fee. Despite this payment, we have not received an appointment confirmation.

Can one edit the dates of travel one has experienced for the last 10 years before biometrics?
If you've already submitted your online application, I don't believe you can change anything. You may want to ask at your Biometrics just in case.
Hi, so I have submitted my application for the visa, but I am unable to book my Biometrics appointment. I selected the option to find one near you, and every time I select the payment page I am unable to move forward. Is there another way to schedule an appointment? Thank you 😊
It may be an issue with their website - I'd keep trying (and try a different browser) and if you can't get through, contact them directly on what you should do.

Do you mean saying the wrong DOB during your Biometrics Appointment? Or written it wrong on the application? If it's wrong in the application that could cause problems

I only need to upload my passport as evidence but I can’t find which spot to upload it. There are headings like Financial, Education etc but none show passport. Do you know where I upload it in my portal?

@@JeDow-jx4cn what did you do for travel history, i have alot of travels in and out of my home country, im a citizen of two countries and have more than like 30 stamps .
@@lennysummers8892 My partner is from Brazil and we have travelled back and forth many times in the last 6 years. I took my passports for the 10 years and entered every trip I could from my passport stamps, old flight tickets etc. Then at the end I included a note explaining the situation and why I was there so much!
If you're signature does matchs your passport, can it affect your Visa application?
Have you changed the way you normally sign things? It could cause a delay if they want to question you on it if it's completely different or it's a different name entirely. If it's slightly differently but the name is still the same, it could be OK.
@@introvertedexpat yes, I changed it, but I tried my best to sign the same. the name is the same in all the documents I used.
@@introvertedexpat The time i did my passport, I didn't get my correct signature, the time I got my passport, and I checked it and see that there was mistake. So I try to manage to sign the same until I renewed. The will change that signature.

Hi there! You should receive a checklist for your particular visa and the required documents - every visa is a bit different.

Typically you can upload files up until 48 hours before your Biometrics Appointment

If you can't upload anything else, I would bring the checklist to your appointment and see what they can do about uploading it then
'IMPORTANT: do not sign until you are at your appointment.' This notice on the CHECKLIST confused me. Should I sign the checklist and upload it days before the appointment or should it be uploaded unsigned and only be signed the day of the appointment?
Hi there! My checklist did not include that, so I assume your visa is different. I would follow the instructions for your particular visa

Which section does the checklist go into?
I don't believe the sections matter to the Home Office, it's more for your own organisation - so it can uploaded anywhere
