Audi A4 2.0T Resonator + Muffler Delete

- 2013 A4 B8.5 2.0T center resonator and muffler delete. All together was only $125! If you’re looking for a low cost way to make your A4 sound good, this is the way to go. I had a clip of interior driving but decided not to add it because you really couldn’t hear much at all. It has very very little drone, none while on the highway. When you kick it down it is loud but sounds great. The video really doesn’t do it justice on how it sounds, but I promise you it sounds awesome.
(Shoutout to my girlfriend for stacking the clips)
I know some of the clips are from my last video, that’s just because I got a new phone and lost all the other videos I had of them from stock and just the resonator delete, sorry.

Did you do it? I have that same car and was thinking of doing it
I’ll have to send you a video when my 2012 a4 Avant is complete. Have added flowmaster mufflers,( years ago) finally had the stage 1 tune, added bilsteen coilovers, BBS wheels, Michelin pilot summer tires. I have the k04turbo kit from CTS waiting to be installed, along with a CTs intake. Only thing holding up the project is waiting for the intercooler to get back in stock. Then with a stage 2 tune, and new downpipe that should complete the mods.

You could remove the front resonator and go straight pipe but I’m sure it wouldn’t sound very good😅
That’s dope
Hope the video helped you out!
I own an A4 as well, are you going to convert from single to dual exits?
Right now I have the single tip just as a quick look, but I plan to go back to dual tip. Dual exit looks killer but it’ll cost a decent amount to get a new bumper, piping, and tips. For now I’m happy with just single exit and I’ll get a nice set of dual tips😊

Thank u
Do you believe I’d get close to the same sound just getting the resonator delete? They sound about the same. Is there a huge difference with the sound in person? Don’t necessarily want to take the muffler off
It’s about the same note, just louder with the muffler delete too
Sounds awesome man trying to get this done to my a5 but the shops all want over 200 bucks im gonna do it anyways.....is it the 1st res u deleted? And is it tuned or stock?
Thanks! It’s actually the second (center) resonator and the muffler, and it’s stock
Hey I had a quick question. Did you like the sound of just the resonator being deleted? Did it sound the same when you shift? Also would you recommend doing resonator and muffler?
I loved when it was just the resonator delete! It had an aggressive tone and had the dsg shift “farts.” I just wanted to to be louder so I deleted the muffler too! If you’re looking for aggressive but not too loud, I would say resonator delete. If you’re looking for aggressive and loud, definitely the resonator and muffler delete!
Crazy Biker Chris thanks for replying I was planing to do the resonator delete this week just looking for some videos to make sure I don’t make a mistake
Also do you know what size the pipe is by chance?
Brayan Escobedo I don’t think you’ll regret it at all! I just had them run the same size piping as all the other. Not too sure what size it is, sorry
@@crazybikerchris4811it’s been years but I still gotta ask did you get the front or center resonator deleted?
@@samgolub3516 center!
Did your check engine light come on when you did it
Nope!
So basically the resonator delete is not worth it it sounds like a fart can idk if I should remove it and place a different one
If you’re looking for the furthest from fart can I would go just muffler delete. With that you’re barely gonna get a change in sound but if you’re looking to stay away from loudness then stick with that. The resonator delete actually sounded really good in person and had a nice throaty sound to it rather than fart can.
Crazy Biker Chris if I do a muffler delete and buy an after market the point is I want it to sound like 5 percent loud not to crzzy something i can hear tbh like a stock s3 sound
The notorious Joey with that I would go for an aftermarket muffler or for the least expensive route just do a muffler delete and get nice tips

In person it isn’t raspy at all, especially when at low rpm it has more of a deeper tone
Crazy Biker Chris ok thanks for the reply. Probably sounds raspy for me cos it’s a smaller engine
loui loui the 1.8t does have a pretty raspy sound to it. If you do move to the 2.0t you won’t get that rasp unless you get a test pipe
So did you loose a bunch of torque after removing both

How bad is the drone if any? I have the center resonator deleted right now. Thinking about muffler just not sure if I should straight delete it or weld in a bottle style resonator in the mufflers place.
I personally don’t notice any at all. I know some people are really sensitive and any cabin noise drives them nuts, but it’s more of just the sound of the exhaust rather than the buzzing drone. If you’re looking to make it louder, I would do the muffler delete! If you later want the resonator in place you can but I would see how you like it with just the straight weld!
@@crazybikerchris4811 I think I'll go with a straight through pipe. I still have catalytic convert and 1st resonator. Thanks for the reply
Matt Citko with that it’ll sound just like mine! I think you’ll be happy with it!!
@@crazybikerchris4811 also did you do any tune for the crackles? Or does it just come with the deletes?
Matt Citko I don’t have any tunes. All that’s done to the car in this video is muffler delete, center resonator delete, and a cold air intake. The crackles when revving are typically when the car is either cold or just warm. After driving a while it won’t pop much when revving.

I got my center resonator deleted today and its a little underwhelming. No pops at all during normal driving in sport just a little louder and DSG farts when I shift up at high RPM. Was that the same for you and any chance of a video from inside with windows closed?
Fer I had the same results though I didn’t really expect any pops so I wasn’t underwhelmed. I was going to add clips from in the car but you couldn’t hear anything so I didn’t put them in the video. Once the weather gets better I’ll record some from in the car as well as sound clips of the cold air intake!
@@crazybikerchris4811 I meant crackles more than pops. In your videos it sounded like it did crackle but mine didn't except slightly in cold starts and never while driving. Was yours the same?
Fer Yeah that’s the case for mine. It crackles when cold or even warm but only right after it starts up. While driving there are never any pops or crackles sadly.
man.... i did this to my b8.5 as well and it doesn’t sound as loud as yours ): do you have anything else besides leaving only one resonator?

In this video the car has the muffler delete and 2nd resonator delete as well as an integrated engineering cold air intake. The crackling in the video is mainly because the car was not 100% warmed up while revving. Once it is warm however it doesn’t really crackle much at all.

For now and what’s in the video it’s just the pipe that they welded in place with a cheap tip on it
Crazy Biker Chris would it sound better with 2 tips coming out
Saib Sejmenovic if it were still single exit it would make no difference. I don’t think dual exit would sound any different either
I have to say that it doesn't sound good at all. Sounds like a hole in your muffler type of sound.
I get what you’re saying. It does have a slightly different tone in person though that makes it sound a lot better!
@@crazybikerchris4811 would make sense!
is it tuned and does it burble without the intake
Not tuned and only burble on start up rev which is bad for the car
@@crazybikerchris4811 can u give me the link to the resonator delete please
@@xxfollyxx1342 I just had a muffler shop cut it out and put a pipe in place
What size pipe 2in?
Honestly not sure, it’s whatever matches up with the stock size
@@crazybikerchris4811 wait is your car tuned?
@@bryansalinas528 Nope
@@crazybikerchris4811 Alr bet appreciate it thx
Does this have the dsg?
Yep
@@crazybikerchris4811 sounds like tiptronic because so slow shifts but is tiptronic a dsg?
@@avgfinnishdude You know, I looked this up and now I have no clue what the car is 🤨
Hey bro that boom sound is it normal? Because when I drive my A4 n hit the brake that boom sound appears
Do you have any mods done?
Crazy Biker Chris no I just got this car from the auto sales
Erman Kuarantaake automatic or Manual?
Crazy Biker Chris mine is automatic 2013 A4
Erman Kuarantaake what kind of “boom?” Like after the initial rev clip I have?
Que año es?
2013
How did that cost $125? Lol
The muffler shop cut them out and welded pipes in place
Hi.. May I know the fuel consumption before and after..I'm from Malaysia ..thank you
I honestly have no clue. Mine has probably gotten worse cause I kick it down more😂
