Mate I'm reaching here but I imagine you haven't lived through all the iterations of farcry. If this is one of the first ones you play then of course you'd probably like it, there is a lot to like and what Unisoft does it does very well. The game is gorgeous, and the amount of content is crazy. But compared to the older games it has lost a lot of what made it so good
It's dog shit. Unfortunately, i grew up with far cry from the start. My personal favorite is far cry 3, but who doesn't love far cry 3... the problem is that we know what ubisoft can do, and they just got worse. I mean i remember playing the game for the first time and in the first 20 min i refunded the game. I was bored shitless.... and i think one of the main reasons is that the character you play has no motivation to do what he does. There is no one from the start that he has to save. He is already a fucking killer, so there is also no character development. It's just a lifeless story....

These games are tons of fun in co-op. When I’m in the mood to turn off my brain and just shoot stuff it’s my go-to series. FC6 though definitely felt like a weaker entry in the series and yeah I agree the writing was a bit cheesy. The formula is also starting to get a bit stale too.

I'm playing this game in 2024. I hated it when it released, but after all the updates, I can say I'm always having fun with it soild 8.5/10 I won't say 9 cause of the health bar....
It's the only Far Cry I have only played through once. It's basically a sandbox game for running around and shooting things because they've made it ridiculously easy
I've completed three islands, and I agree that it's designed to be an easy sandbox experience, perhaps targeted at younger players. The gameplay lacks depth and complexity.
Far cry 5 you had a dog and mountain lion following around while you drove, what's the difference here? Tropics have alligators instead of mountain lions.
I love far cry games including this one. Its not as good as 3 or 4 but still a great game imo. some ppl find them repetitive but i still have a lot of un with them. The open world map of Yara (Cuba) is incredible. massive beautiful world. Combat is not as great as the games before but still okay. Imagine if they made a sequel to Far Cry 5 based in Alaska. Somehow Joseph Seed and the deputy would escape the wasteland, and both make it to Alaska. From here another cult is born, and the deputy would meet another group of people in need of help and future followers. The plot twist is Russia is involved with the cult, and Joseph Seed is actually a rouge CIA agent. The map would expand into Russia. There would be a lot more opportunity for realistic hunting and fishing. Instead of having two followers at once, you could have squads led by top followers. Combat would be larger scale, and fare more realistic. You'd be fighting the cult and the Russian Military. This opens up a doorway for tanks, jets, attack helicopters and more. Mabe the return of followers like Nick Rye, Boomer and Cheeseburger.
5 and 6 all the way! 3 totally incredible in its time..4 is of course great but lesser follow up but.. in my opinion…not as good as the culty darkness and epic wander around the wild country vibes of 5. 6 looks lovely, but did seem odd to begin with many layers..it took me longer to get in..but soundtrack and the setting is brilliant, story I really got thrown in with the revolutionaries wreaking havoc from the jungle with black market modified weapons a jet ski and a crocodile in and tracksuit.
Do soldiers still keep spawning like 2 meters behind you even if you have already cleared the area? I'm a big FC fan, played all of them, even Primal. But stupidity of FC 6, munition system and everspawning enemies got to me, I didn't finish it. Great soundtrack, though.
Ive only played Far Cry 4/5/Primal, and I just got into this since its free... I'm having quite a bit of fun. Its not phenomenal by any means, but it's fun for sure

It's far from the best Far Cry, but what I actually think they did right with this, was removing those very annoying "drugged and hallucinating" parts. Those parts were really overwhelming in Far Cry 5, and in my opinion almost destroyed the pleasure of playing it. Both 4 and 5 had many good parts, but was a bit broken by the drugged up scenes. Also I found 6 being better in that it has less annoying boss fights lol. I guess the jumping around like a f***ing idiot, spraying down a bulletsponge silly boss is the last I want, haha
i always saw the negative comments until i decided to buy on steam to give it a try(ive owned farcry 5,3,&2) and man i got to tell you its not bad at all! the gun combat feels intense, the animations and gameplay feels smooth and the graphics are crazy. with hd textures looks better than any game ive played
I recommend y'all to play other Far Cry than FC6. Hell, I can actually say, try FCND when Ubisoft give the 75% deal. Far Cry 5 is for me. I've been rocking 2500 hours in it
This has become my favorite Far cry and you shouldn't take anything seriously in this. The visuals and vistas are breathtaking in my opinion (playing on PS5) with the changing weather and reflections when it rains so I'm having a lot of fun with it...
Just cause has more creative options for players into sandboxes imo though. 1.) Far Cry needs to go back to having hunting for some upgrades and purchasing others 2.) If it's gonna be a game where we kill the same few enemy types over and over they have to make it more interesting than just adding arbitrary ammo types when most of us use armor piercing. Give us better stealth mechanics and enemy dismemberment to a certain degree. 3.) Get rid of the clothing based skill system and go back to some form of a skill tree even if it's special trainers back at camp like they could've easily done here in 6 for all the skills. Give us a tattoo artist/war vet who teaches us stuff and gives is a new tattoo like the ones we got in 3. 4. ) bigger animals 5. ) being able to call reinforcement AI again and have human guns for hire with us 6. ) more living locations in the world that are populated 7. ) a more present villain in a story that ditches the whole checklist campaign style 8. ) real time weapon customization for attachments etc. like Crysis. 9. ) 3-4 player co-op
I got FARCRY6 on sale sometime early last year and struggled to get past the first or second chapter?! I dropped it and continued with other games. I recently re-downloaded it again to give it another go but my sentiments have not changed. I came onto UA-cam to try get some "motivation" hoping someone will tell me "it gets better" but after watching your video now and I couldnt agree more - the game is has an identity crisis - It wants to be serious all while being completely dumb. Im struggling to play it just for the sake of playing it..
I loved Farcry 6, I didn't play any other facrcry then the 4th one and I gotta say what an upgrade. I absolutely loved Giancarlo as Anton Castillo, bringing a movie/TV villain into a video game was a great move. Cannot wait for what's next for the Farcry franchise.
Honestly as someone who doesn’t play far cry at all. Far cry 6 is extremely fun. So far it has a good story. I like the little pets and I can’t wait to get the last one because i’m a stealther. On console though I wouldn’t like it as much. If you play it on PC though, get the mod installer and install the libertad mod. Holyyy, the glitch little feature where it zooms in your fov hella when driving or swimming was so annoying and after installing the libertad mod which aims to not add anything new but just make the game more enjoyable it actually made it 100x more enjoyable. Not gonna like the flight controls for helicopter are ass though they’re slow as hell. But anyways, I’m like halfway through, i’d give the game a 6/10. Not anything crazy but super fun for what it is. 😊
Thinking about getting the game for coop. Does it have good gunplay or do the guns feel slow and clunky? Thats the most important part for me apart from story/mission aspects
I would say absolutely yes. They left a few good things away from Far Cry 5. But it is still a really fun game. Taked it from a passionate gamer with good taste who doesn't plays every game.
Up the difficulty i bet you catch yourself enjoying the game... Dying trying to clear bases which FORCES you to come up with a different gameplan.. the game isnt perfect but its absolutely worth a play.. if it is free what are you really complaining about

As a big fen of the franchise I can tell you for sure one thing - the game is dumb indeed! You are right about the croc, it's annoying and hilarious. The map is enormous, but you are doing one and same things again and again. Initially I thought there is some glitch in my copy of the game. Super disappointing

Well I have a very BIG COLLECTION of games like this one. For me these games kill the stress of living in the USA, working for companies who only care about how much money they can make and could care less about the workers. Yes these games help me a lot. Games like ghost recon breakpoint Star Citizen Ghost Recon Wild Lands. Even All the Half-Life games. I do like looking at VIDEOS OF ARMA, but to find American's that play is like trying to find A Rainbow in an open Field. The video's are nice and it takes away a lot of stress. Un-like Citizens living outside of the USA. When they have a problem with an employer its ok to deal with it in ways you'll never see in the USA, so its better to find ways to De-stress then ending up in jail or getting Death Sentence. It would be more games of Hand to Hand Combat wars. Now that's a Good Rush!

Far Cry 6 is my personal least favorite installment of the Far Cry series. The first 10 hours or so I enjoyed playing it, then it was the same thing over and over again - the same world, the same habitats, the same missions, the same side quests... well, there was just no point in believing it and giving myself false hopes that "finally another Far Cry, maybe it will be better than 5!". I didn't buy it, but I downloaded it for free, because I really don't want to give Ubisoft so many tens of euros for a game, knowing how this company has a habit of making their games - CTRL C + CTRL V from the older ones. Plus - 60 euros for the base game and another 60 euros for 3 very short DLCs that I'll finish in a day or two? They can't be serious, can they? (3/10)
Far cry 5 looks way better and coming from a hard core far cry fan and gamer I still think far cry 4 was the best one and part 3 had some good characters. I must say though this game was brought out as far as i believe like right after the strike and they were still making it just before the strike happened with ubisoft. I think Ubisoft rushed this game and to see the graphics even look horrid compared to far cry 5. I prob will still try it sometime but Im still playing far cry 4 and 5 trying to get 100%
Just started this game and the gunplay sucks compared to previous games. I don't care what they were trying to do, but a headshot with a sniper rifle is a death sentence, but not in this dam game. Feels like it's random number generator on if you get the kill. I like being stealth in bases, and to many times the game design forces an all out gunfight.

i've beaten far cry 3 and playd a lot of far cry 4, and im gonna tell you, far cry 6 is not even close to being as fun, it may feel a little better, but it really has a mediocre story with not original characters and recycled gameplay, i evenc ringed at some story parts, would recommend it to anyone, even if you are a casual player theres still a lot better options of games to play. a 4/10

dude, for some weird reason I was trying it on game pass... Jeez, I thought it was me, but now I see that it is not. This game is garbage... I tried the hardest difficulty from the start and decided to go guns blazing and managed to kill everyone. The AI is the worst man... The graphics suck too, so bad...
I didnt even bother with this but i had a look at gamepass xbox has shit games but this is pretty enjoyable theres not just one pet its not perfect but theres actually alot of game to get through its surprised me im playing it now so give it a try upto now i give it a solid 8 its definatley worth playing if you have time to kill unlike our nice welsh friend here 😅
This garbage was a downgrade from Far Cry 5. 5 allowed you to have two HUMAN companions simultaneously, complete with Mass Effect style banter. This game doesn't even allow human companions at all. It's just sad.

It's a regression to their older games which already had animal companions. 5 was the "something different." 6 was a regression back to something more primitive. Man, this is 100% accurate. It's not silly fun - it's silly cringe, especially those young bands with Batcho, I think his name was. This part was really cringe-worthy. I dislike Gen Z stuff, and I think even Gen Z would cringe hard at that part. It's a far cry from the likes of 3 & 4, where the silly stuff was so minimal that when it came, it was funny because it was an unexpected change in direction.
Kinda looks like youre playing on easy which makes the ai even worse than it is on action or whatever it is. Game is gorgeous is and sadly theres nog really anything else like farcy. Ive been play fc5 which is 10x better in my opinion but oh well

In 2025 you need the option for 1st or 2nd person player view. This view blows the game for me.

i always saw the negative comments until i decided to buy on steam to give it a try(ive owned farcry 5,3,&2) and man i got to tell you its not bad at all! the gun combat feels intense, the animations and gameplay feels smooth and the graphics are crazy. with hd textures looks better than any game ive played

I recommend y'all to play other Far Cry than FC6. Hell, I can actually say, try FCND when Ubisoft give the 75% deal. Far Cry 5 is for me. I've been rocking 2500 hours in it

This has become my favorite Far cry and you shouldn't take anything seriously in this. The visuals and vistas are breathtaking in my opinion (playing on PS5) with the changing weather and reflections when it rains so I'm having a lot of fun with it...

Just cause has more creative options for players into sandboxes imo though.
1.) Far Cry needs to go back to having hunting for some upgrades and purchasing others
2.) If it's gonna be a game where we kill the same few enemy types over and over they have to make it more interesting than just adding arbitrary ammo types when most of us use armor piercing. Give us better stealth mechanics and enemy dismemberment to a certain degree.
3.) Get rid of the clothing based skill system and go back to some form of a skill tree even if it's special trainers back at camp like they could've easily done here in 6 for all the skills. Give us a tattoo artist/war vet who teaches us stuff and gives is a new tattoo like the ones we got in 3.
4. ) bigger animals
5. ) being able to call reinforcement AI again and have human guns for hire with us
6. ) more living locations in the world that are populated
7. ) a more present villain in a story that ditches the whole checklist campaign style
8. ) real time weapon customization for attachments etc. like Crysis.
9. ) 3-4 player co-op
I got FARCRY6 on sale sometime early last year and struggled to get past the first or second chapter?! I dropped it and continued with other games. I recently re-downloaded it again to give it another go but my sentiments have not changed. I came onto UA-cam to try get some "motivation" hoping someone will tell me "it gets better" but after watching your video now and I couldnt agree more - the game is has an identity crisis - It wants to be serious all while being completely dumb. Im struggling to play it just for the sake of playing it..

I loved Farcry 6, I didn't play any other facrcry then the 4th one and I gotta say what an upgrade. I absolutely loved Giancarlo as Anton Castillo, bringing a movie/TV villain into a video game was a great move. Cannot wait for what's next for the Farcry franchise.
Honestly as someone who doesn’t play far cry at all. Far cry 6 is extremely fun. So far it has a good story. I like the little pets and I can’t wait to get the last one because i’m a stealther. On console though I wouldn’t like it as much. If you play it on PC though, get the mod installer and install the libertad mod. Holyyy, the glitch little feature where it zooms in your fov hella when driving or swimming was so annoying and after installing the libertad mod which aims to not add anything new but just make the game more enjoyable it actually made it 100x more enjoyable. Not gonna like the flight controls for helicopter are ass though they’re slow as hell. But anyways, I’m like halfway through, i’d give the game a 6/10. Not anything crazy but super fun for what it is. 😊

I would say absolutely yes. They left a few good things away from Far Cry 5. But it is still a really fun game. Taked it from a passionate gamer with good taste who doesn't plays every game.

Up the difficulty i bet you catch yourself enjoying the game... Dying trying to clear bases which FORCES you to come up with a different gameplan.. the game isnt perfect but its absolutely worth a play.. if it is free what are you really complaining about

As a big fen of the franchise I can tell you for sure one thing - the game is dumb indeed! You are right about the croc, it's annoying and hilarious. Well I have a very BIG COLLECTION of games like this one. For me these games kill the stress of living in the USA, working for companies who only care about how much money they can make and could care less about the workers. Yes these games help me a lot. Games like ghost recon breakpoint Star Citizen Ghost Recon Wild Lands. Even All the Half-Life games. I do like looking at VIDEOS OF ARMA, but to find American's that play is like trying to find A Rainbow in an open Field. The video's are nice and it takes away a lot of stress. Un-like Citizens living outside of the USA. When they have a problem with an employer its ok to deal with it in ways you'll never see in the USA, so its better to find ways to De-stress then ending up in jail or getting Death Sentence. It would be more games of Hand to Hand Combat wars. Now that's a Good Rush!

Far Cry 6 is my personal least favorite installment of the Far Cry series. The first 10 hours or so I enjoyed playing it, then it was the same thing over and over again - the same world, the same habitats, the same missions, the same side quests... well, there was just no point in believing it and giving myself false hopes that "finally another Far Cry, maybe it will be better than 5!".
I didn't buy it, but I downloaded it for free, because I really don't want to give Ubisoft so many tens of euros for a game, knowing how this company has a habit of making their games - CTRL C + CTRL V from the older ones. Plus - 60 euros for the base game and another 60 euros for 3 very short DLCs that I'll finish in a day or two? They can't be serious, can they? (3/10)
I miss the good old far crys like 2-3-4. After that it just became boring.
Far cry 5 looks way better and coming from a hard core far cry fan and gamer I still think far cry 4 was the best one and part 3 had some good characters. I must say though this game was brought out as far as i believe like right after the strike and they were still making it just before the strike happened with ubisoft. I think Ubisoft rushed this game and to see the graphics even look horrid compared to far cry 5. I prob will still try it sometime but Im still playing far cry 4 and 5 trying to get 100%

Just started this game and the gunplay sucks compared to previous games. I don't care what they were trying to do, but a headshot with a sniper rifle is a death sentence, but not in this dam game. Feels like it's random number generator on if you get the kill. I like being stealth in bases, and to many times the game design forces an all out gunfight.

i've beaten far cry 3 and playd a lot of far cry 4, and im gonna tell you, far cry 6 is not even close to being as fun, it may feel a little better, but it really has a mediocre story with not original characters and recycled gameplay, i evenc ringed at some story parts, would recommend it to anyone, even if you are a casual player theres still a lot better options of games to play. a 4/10

dude, for some weird reason I was trying it on game pass... Jeez, I thought it was me, but now I see that it is not. This game is garbage... I tried the hardest difficulty from the start and decided to go guns blazing and managed to kill everyone. The AI is the worst man... The graphics suck too, so bad...

Far Cry 2 is still the greatest FC game ever.
This garbage was a downgrade from Far Cry 5. 5 allowed you to have two HUMAN companions simultaneously, complete with Mass Effect style banter. This game doesn't even allow human companions at all. It's just sad.

It's a regression to their older games which already had animal companions. 5 was the "something different." 6 was a regression back to something more primitive. It's like the next Fallout only having dogmeat and a mole rat follower.

Currently playing farcry 5 and taking in the beauty of the American wilds, nature scenery, music and the great responsive gameplay & realistic effects etc. Love farcry 5. I've had a quick look at 6 over last few days and it doesn't compare with 5s greatness, so I doubt I'll ever try 6.
Man, this is 100% accurate. It's not silly fun - it's silly cringe, especially those young bands with Batcho, I think his name was. This part was really cringe-worthy. I dislike Gen Z stuff, and I think even Gen Z would cringe hard at that part. It's a far cry from the likes of 3 & 4, where the silly stuff was so minimal that when it came, it was funny because it was an unexpected change in direction.

Kinda looks like youre playing on easy which makes the ai even worse than it is on action or whatever it is. Game is gorgeous is and sadly theres nog really anything else like farcy. Ive been play fc5 which is 10x better in my opinion but oh well
