Thanks for this review. Think Buchardt do an excellent job with their product. Am wondering how they pair with something like the a10 to improve their bass extension and if they’d reduce the a10’s bass accuracy. If anyone knows please let me know
I've heard the A500 but not the A10, anytime you add more bass you run the risk of mucking things up because bass can really bring out some room issues but the room correction solves most of that. I'd imagine it pairs up with their own A10 fairly well.
I know with the A500 (which I own), they have recommended installing the 60hz shelf master tuning and run the sub10 at the 60hz crossover point. That way you take the lower bass load off the main speakers which should help improve the midrange and give you more output.
I'm not sure brother, I don't have much experience with magnepan, most maggie users I've talked to tend to go for something like a Rythmik F12SE or REL T/X series.
I have a sq sub recommendation for you right in your zone, (and your viewers) and I've owned all the sq subs on your channel except this Buchardt.......the Dynaudio 18s around 2k, (this is the pro version of their sub6 which costs slightly more)......small, sealed, made in Denmark, xlr in/out , rca in/out, and high pass filter....check out if you can, will likely be your number 1 sq sub once you hear it
brother, ALL the sq subs I've reviewed? You've owned all 25+ of them? It's not possible man, even the most addicted audiophile would not own so many subs, you need audio rehab for sure if that's the case :)
@@NemoPropaganda its my past haunting me.....old school car audio guy here, as you already know, we're a different breed, two channels guys don't realize how easy home audio plug and play is in comparison (not to mention the relative ease of re-selling your gear which is how I can rotate through so much stuff)

@@NemoPropagandaI have currently T5i but thinking for an upgrade. Now seems easy choice. Thank you very much for your dedication in videos and comments! Great job 👏
@@jponsie oh nice are you trying the a10 with a500? Have the a500 too, would love to know how they affect the sound
@@NemoPropaganda thanks very much for sharing
How do you think this will mate with Magnapan .7?
I'm not sure brother, I don't have much experience with magnepan, most maggie users I've talked to tend to go for something like a Rythmik F12SE or REL T/X series.
Nice review!
Why isn't more subs made in this shape or form? I have been looking for this shape in subs for a time now not being so deep but taller.
it's a bit of a niche design so by it's very nature it will be less common :)
I wonder how they sound with actual musical instrument bass.
I don't listen to bass solos or anything like that but I do listen to real music with real instruments as well as EDM, country, metal, etc...
@@NemoPropaganda Just wondering since the two you mentioned were computer generated bass lines.
Is this sub Xbox Series S inspired...? 🤔
ahahahahaha, very true!
Nemo, Did you try it on it;s side?
yes sir! The room correction mostly makes it sound the same regardless of where you put it or how it's oriented, of course there will always be slight differences.
I love it but i still think its overpriced
I wouldn't complain if it was $100 cheaper but compact subs with good extension or output are never value buys so I completely understand. Subwoofers are a lot like laptops in that regard, the smaller sleeker 12-13" laptop is never as capable as a 15"+ fullsize but the smaller & sleeker laptop still cost more money. Those who do not need a small & sleek laptop can certainly save some money and gain some performance simply by purchasing a full size laptop :)
