    I got the case, partly after watching the video. But, it doesn't fit. On the top, the IO shield part of the case blocks it from screwing it in. Are you not screwing the last 2-4 screws? Also, hits the fan bracket on the other side. You said you are not setting it all the way in. I had to revert to install on the front. To install it on the front also, I have to remove the disk caddy platform at the bottom. However, the arctic cables are very short. Front bracket has lips so it will only go one way. Either have to use RGB extension cable or not use RGB. Anyway lose all capacity for hard disk installation. If the case was a little taller or a little wider, it would have fit easily. I don't think this case should be advertised as supporting 420mm AIOs.

      @KleoYan  Рік тому +4

      Hello Mark, welcome to my channel. hmm.. the I/O Shield I did tuck those cables nicely and had no issues with it and if you are talking about the 420 AIO radiator screws that has total of 12 screws, they are all in without issues. Do you mean when you screw in the rad at the top, the screw holes alignment is out? As for Hard disk as I see it. you should be able to mount it unless your PSU is way beyond 180mm in lenght?

    • @marka5968
      @marka5968 Рік тому

      @@KleoYan When I was trying to put the rad on top, the IO shield section of the case would hit the radiator part and not allow me line up the last 4 screw holes. We must have slightly different case or AIO.

      @@KleoYan Regarding the hard disks, I had to remove the bottom tray that holds the hard disk mounts (as you did in the video) to install the AIO on front. One of the screws was under the foot and I did a bad job removing the adhesive to get the screw to remove the foot. On lancool 2, I use the hot swap feature and the ease of opening the lower tray to slide in a hard disk was so convenient.

      @@user-np4pn9wr7v Hi welcome to my channel, if you are referring to this 420 Liquid AIO, not possible, you can't close the front pannel as the radiator is too tick. even if you fit inside the fan tray which is offset. plus you cant close the tray back in place as the radiator hose is blocking. the only way to mount your Radiator is inside the case at the front. I do not advise to mount it at the front as you will have lots of obstacle, but you can give it a try. just because when you do that as you might scratch the radiator due to the huge size.

    If you do that thermal test, I would actually also very much like to see the results of switching the rear exhaust to rear intake instead. As in, just flipping the 120mm fan. My guess is the top AIO fan furthest to the rear will pull in outside air from the back of the case anyway if the rear 120mm exhaust fan is removed. It might very well affect GPU temps too, but I am really unsure in which direction. I guess that also partly depends on the GPU orientation (horizontal vs vertical) and if its the one you have in the video, or one of the founder edition blower style GPUs.

    Great vid - since this is becoming the hub for all things lancool 3 and 420 aio, I also have installed one. I have rog hero x670 + h170i. The top mount setup does NOT work with this mobo sadly. Mobo input shield is too thick. The 140mm fans don't fit with radiator in place. I would be cautious when buying mobo. I did find a reasonable alternative, which was to front mount (despite case not saying it supports such), where I installed the front plate in maximum forward position (i.e far into case, and 140mms in front). Unfortunately you don't get the clearance with any front radiator setup with this radiator to fit 3x 140mm top fans, so have settled with 2x on top, with reasonable spacing. It was not an easy install, but tbh it doesn't look bad.

      Hello J 1, welcome to my channel. Part of the reason I did this content is to warn others too about the clearance. Which most motherboard manufacturer do not list dont the measurements for the height of the VRM and the rear I/O shield. Anway for font mounting, both are able to mount, be it Arctic or Crosair but as you've mentioned, not possible to mount 3 x 140mm fans. However, you can still mount 3 x 120mm fans at the top. Not sure if you have tried both but would you say there is a considerable margin of improvement over 360 (for a 170W CPU -- 7950X)?
    Also another question, this is going to be my first desktop build in a long time and as someone who is really not experienced at that front (routing cables and dealing with mechanical aspects), is there any tips/tricks I should be aware of handling the Lancool III (or if you think this is a harder case to build for a beginner, I'd be on to hearing your suggestions). Thanks a lot for the reviews btw, love your methodology!

      Hi Sayin Benoit, to be honest, I have tried both. It’s about 3 to 5 degrees difference by default in a 7950x system. Aio you can use either 420 or 360. Unless you are doing overclocking then 420 will be a better option. As for difficulty on the front I/O part. It’s very straight forward. I have another video that explains the front I/O connection which you can refer to Lian Li Lancool III - Part 1 (Case Details & Impression)

    My only concern is my motherboard is 45mm at its highest point from the very bottom of it to the top of the heatsink. Do you think this will be an issue? I am willing to purchase a different one if needed. Can you recommend a X570 or X570s motherboard that will fit?
    Also which fans are you using on the bottom? Are they the p14s or p12s?

    Hi! Ive got a question about the Meshcool lll case, does your side panels (the tempered glass) stay locked? Mine swings open if I tilt it to the side, is that normal or is it supposed to be locked when you close the side panels? Like when I lay the case down to the side my panels just open up themselves without having to use the front to open them.

    Unfortunately, mine cannot be mounted at the top since it didn't clear my trident z5 ram, the vrm cover, and of course the rear 140mm fan. A shame really, seeing that both of our motherboard are atx my ram sticks are not as tall as yours. I had to mount it at the front, and rearrange the front three case fans around.
    On top of that my arctic also came a bit bent along its overall length (probably due to shipping), I couldn't be bothered to return it and just had to finagle it more with screw alignments.

    Great video. How did you go about daisy chaining your fans? I have some fans not displaying aRGB properly (which I suspect is a power issue... Some options have those fans display colour and then they get "stuck" while the others continine to cycle) I have all the fans daisy chained to 1 header and the CPU cooler on its own, separate header.
    Am I correct in the assumption that you are operating with a relatively even daisy chain split, 5/6 per header?

      Hi DSbroTV, welcome to my channel. the case itself has three argb cables. for the front fans I make use of two argb connector off from the case and the third cable I plug to this argb hub www.amazon.com/RGEEK-Splitter-10-Port-Extension-Perfect/dp/B08DRKR4B6/ref=sr_1_7_sspa?crid=11C9MOGAFHTM3&keywords=argb+hub&qid=1667510917&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjE5IiwicXNhIjoiNC44NCIsInFzcCI6IjQuNzQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=argb+hub%2Caps%2C289&sr=8-7-spons&psc=1 from there, I plug the rest of the fans through it as there are 10 arb ports. the reason for this is, the argb cables from the case has a power limit, so I used that argb hub which is powered by a sata cable to extend the range, therefore I am able to control the argb effect via the case argb buttons.

You will need to do minor adjustments to get all 12 screws screw in. As what I did, I only anchor screws between the rad and the case holes, then go on with another till all 12 screws are in place first. then I fasten the screws like the way I fasten the thumb screws on a processor. doing it diagonally adjecent to all the rad screws. it takes sometime, eventually you will get them in. no big force required either.

      Hello Jalen Fox, welcome to my channel. For a case which uses 140mm fans, your case will be silent as compared to using all 120mm fans. Though I have a mixture of fans in this case. 3 x 140mm on the liquid AIO and 3 x 140mm at the front, 3 x 120mm at the bottom and 1 x 120mm at the rear. It is quiet compared to my previous case, which is the O11D mini. you see 140mm fans do not need to ramp up at higher RPMs to keep things cool. Advantage of having 140mm fans, they can run at lower rpm but still produce more air as compared to 120mm fans. This case is now my daily drive and it's just beside me on my desk. I can work at night without having the hiss which I get from my old O11D mini. btw I see what I can do on my next video. It's all about thermal peformance of this case and the 420 Liquid AIO. I will include a noise test, but will need to wait as am currently busy with work projects.

Does that allow for control in L-Connect? Also, I have two RGB strips that I would like to utilize as well. If I were to connect those to the I/O cables, would those also be controlled by the I/O buttons or can that be controlled via L-Connect as well? This help to reduce the noise, as for the case airflow, yes it will have an impact but the impact is not that big, temperature increases about 2 to 3 degrees more.

      Can i ask if it's possible set that bracked as Style 4, it's not as far, as Style 3, so will it fit with the radiator? And, if it fits, is it possible to mount 3x140mm intake fans before the mounting holes, so that the A-RGB isn't obstructed by those holes, when the fans come righ behind them, like you've installed?

If you intend to overclock your processor, a 360 will do it's job, unless you are using the AMD 7950X or the intel I9 13900K or KS. For your current setup, LS720 or LT720 are good to go. @KleoYan So the i/o panel on the X570 is 38mm? The I/O panel on my B650 is 50mm (same height as the MOSFET heatsink). Maybe a change in the B650 series?
      A fail safe check is if you have a tall I/O panel like I have, and you consider the thickness of the AFii 420, the radiator is 38mm and the fans are 27mm, you would need a space of at least 65mm between the top of the case (if top mounted) to the I/O ports. My current case (Shadow Base 800) only has 60mm clearance here, so it fowls on the I/O panel.

      Hi Tanmay, welcome to my channel. thank you for your question, the equipment you have listed, I do not have them but after reading the specs and instructions, if you want to sync up all your argb devices with the motherboard argb app, you will need to install each individual device argb app, within those apps, you will need to set bypass to your motherboard argb. Same apply to the uni controller and the strimer plus V2 controller. To be honest, I am not able to aid you as I do not know how your system will react but based on experience,
      your PC will be running lots of argb utlity at the background and this might conflict inbetween apps as ARGB IRQ in each system is shared. your apps might not react accordingly.

I currently have it sitting sideways on the top, so its only held by 3 screws instead of the usual 12 as it just wouldnt fit. I tried squeezing it in but the fans in the front block it out. So the very top front fan thats touching the radiator is at a little angle but the bottom ones are slotted in nice and flat. Is yours sitting flat ontop with all 12 screws? Or did you have to improvise by putting it slightly sideways to make space? And did you leave the stock 3x140mm fans in the front, or did you swap them out for 120mm ones? Im just very lost if im doing something wrong or is this supposed to be like this. @@stefan_es lets just say to push warm air out is better than to draw warm air in.. thats what happened when you put the radiator at the front. Which CPU are you using btw? if it's not the 7950X or 13900K or KS, it should be fine using a 360 liquid aio.

      @@KleoYan I have 12600k now, but then I will most likely put 13600k. Is it warm air up front? it seems that on the contrary, the processor receives fresh cold air from the outside. Yes, then it gets warm inside the case and is already worse than the video card and other PC components, but in Lancool III there are 3 more fans for supply ventilation from below. I often heard the opinion that the Freezer ii 420 is noticeably quieter than the 360 AIO, in particular the LS720. There is no way to verify this statement, but this alignment of affairs is captivating. I want silence. Otherwise, I already have an AK620, which cools the processor normally, but it is so large that it blocks the flow of warm air from the video card. I want silence so that the processor does not force the AIO fans to run at full speed and make noise during overclocking. That's all. If 1000rpm is enough to cool 12600k at 5.1GHz in games then why not)

      @@stefan_es for a 12600k. You don’t have to worry much about heat. The tdp drawn is not that much compared to 13th Gen processor. I’m this case you should not run into issues with a 360 aio mount at the front. As for silence. Both are quiet. Just that lt720 or ls720. Both fans are noisier abit at full speed.

    Is this case the best option for a 420 aio cooler? I understand you got it as a gift. Thanks for all the info, not easy to find.

      Hi Renee Varmeylan, welcome to my channel, it was a risk without knowing if it’s possible. That’s the reason why I reach out to Arctic and Corsair. Only Arctic replied to me. So I can’t tell you with 420 is best. Nevertheless I believe after being able to use the Arctic liquid freezer II which has a thicker radiator, the rest of the 420 from other brands should not have the issue.

      @@KleoYan When I upgrade my pc, I will probably choose 7950x as well, and this cooler seems the best choice for it. I am wondering which case would be optimal for it, so the 420 can be mounted at the top like in this video. When looking up what the coolest cases are, I find Fractal Torrent and Lancool 216 have the best temperatures, but those cases can't mount a 420 at the top.
      This seems like a fine case, but I wonder if there is maybe another one that is even better. There is not much info about it.
