      I can't do it with the opposing parties. ! Well done!! keep it up' !! This is the right way!!

      1. Nucleus (but louder than LF3)
      2. T30 (price is high enough)
      3. LF3 (radiator thickness is getting on way to mount on top in many cases)

      @Igor.Kupinsky 7 місяців тому +2

      @@Tpecep I have already found tests, thank you, Phanteks is the best, then the Nucleus, but the radiator is better on the Nucleus, on third-party fans, the Arctic is optimized for quiet fans, its radiator. And the results fluctuate greatly, on the AMD Arctic 3 it is very strong, on the Intel it is weaker. And the result also jumps depending on the speed.

    I fitted my ARGB 420mm rev III cooler a couple of days ago, it went well. I wasn't sure about the RGB variant, but its fine.
    I use a Meshify 2 XL case and whilst the 450mm pipes are the same length it was helpful for me having them end at the block in the middle, their previous model, as against ending at the bottom of the block. Altho they are on turning heads now. Yes, with such a size of case 450mm pipes are just able to manage.!
    It is nice having the chance to control the pump, VRM fan and radiators fans separately. All of mine being se with a slope. You get varying opinions of what the max and typical running temperatures should be for VRM's. So whilst they can be cooled, I'm not sure how important that is.
    I can imagine that it was a difficult job to improve greatly on their previous model, as it was and still is so good. Decent changes made tho, whilst retaining the qualities that the previous one had. I was a little hesitant at first changing the contact frame for my 14700k. But it went well, using an "X" method for the paste.
    Good review.

    • @reinulf656
      @reinulf656 7 місяців тому

      Thanks for your mini review! Are you happy with the noise of the pump? Can you hear it at the different rates of your slope?

    • @Vimes.
      @Vimes. 7 місяців тому

      @@reinulf656 Sound is kinda subjective, in what people will be aware of. As I have got older having a quiet PC is becoming more important. To that end I use "Argus Monitor" to set fan curves for each section of my case fans and then all of the AIO fans, each with their own curves based on the average CPU temp over a 10 second period.
      Because of that near silence, no mech HD's etc, any additional noise can be heard. Switching to manual control for the pump fan, or the VRM / radiator, and then increasing that, yes it is apparent.
      Typically, for me, increases in heat and load will mean playing a game, then that adds the sounds from that compensates for the ramping up of the fans on their curves to compensate. So the game noise / music will mask the noise increase from the AIO.
      Many games only utilise so little of the CPU as well, for me that adds to the question on whether to run the pump at 100% all of the time.
      Whilst I can imagine that on the rev 2 AIO the pump was always going at 100%, I don't know as I was not able to measure that, I don't think that it needs to be always doing that. If I manually just raise that pump speed to 100%, whilst everything else is running at very low speeds, then yes it is noticeable.
      My RTX 4080, unless gaming, has zero fans when just browsing or light GPU loads.

    • @Frozoken
      @Frozoken 6 місяців тому +1

      @@Vimes. I would also definitley recommend running at the pump below 100% for ligher loads with this model. Gamer nexus just did in depth testing and the pump makes up much more noise proportional to the fans than is normal (despite not being an actual problem or anything) than in their noise normalised results running the pumps lower and the fans higher for the same sound output gave better results than the pump at 100%. You clearly dont need water being moved around so fast fast then itd be heating up so slowly while in the block not being cooled by the radiator fans that it should be turned down with 0 issues here and in fact may even improve noise to performance as i said. Gamer nexus found this at about 1400rpm fan speed btw so if while gaming ur fans are spinning slower than that 1000% do that. He did 70% pump speed fyi

    • @Vimes.
      @Vimes. 6 місяців тому

      @@Frozoken Thanks. I am running the pump at 40% in most circumstances. n fact it would only increase to around 75% when the CPU is at full load and running at a high temperature.

Took 15 min with 6 mm id fuel line and 30 min in DI to bleed out air. Works as good as 360 Pump and fan are top notch for price. Custom could not be better...

    Really interested in the new cases that can possibly fit this! The thickness of this radiator is what was a problem, even with cases that could officially fit 420 rads, like the Fractal Define 7 or Meshify 2. • @deuswulf6193
      @deuswulf6193 3 місяці тому

      @@eclampsium Not sure what part was confusing.
      The AIO has elbow joints attached to the bottom of the waterblock. They are limited in the direction they can swivel.
      On top of that, the mounting system only allows for the AIO to be mounted with those elbow joints on the bottom, or inverse on the top, which is only viable with an Intel CPU and not the AMD. Why?
      Because they chose to offset the AMD mount.
      In short, you really only have one way to mount this AIO, which is highly restrictive and does not play nice with AMD + Vertical mounted GPU configurations.

    I'm heading for an Arctic Freezer # 360 model after seeing this and other reviews where it has beaten out other aios on normalized noise test. On 35Db no one aio will match it... I was trudging to find a case that would accept it on top mounting and discovered that the Lian Li 216 has an air-cooling and a water-cooling mount mode. on this last one it will allow for upping from 55 to 70mm tall aio. Definitely going this route. The Galahad is competent to but at much more noise expenses. I'm heading to Lian Li 216, arctic freezer 3 and phantecs t30 fans... only the best performance/noise ratio stuff...

    Motherboards, liquid or air coolers are great products, but the real problem is INTEL processors, 13900K/KF -14900K/KF - 13900KS these three processors are literally like an electric stove. Wherever we are in the world, we all do the same thing: We download PL1 and PL2 250-255w, but we cannot see the required 5.6ghz basic boost speed in test applications, and even if the processor does not perform thermal throttling, it still cannot show its required power due to low W. There is a constant vicious circle. If we do not lower PL1-PL2, thermal throttling occurs and the processor speed decreases. Or if we lower PL1-PL2, we get rid of thermal throttling but the processor speed decreases again. The real solution to this problem is that Intel needs to produce much more efficient processors. I would also like to hear the solutions and comments of other friends here.
    my system is Rtx 4080 Super + z790 + 13900KS + Corsair 420mm liquid cooler.
    Thanks for the video, buddy.

    I recently installed this in a new build (420 AIO version) and a couple things:
    - The fans are trash, two of them don't even light up, I'd HIGHLY recommend replacing them for something better
    - The mounting system, at least for AM5 (AMD), was EXTREMELY nerve wracking and ROUGH for me and I'm a dude with large strong hands. Not sure how most people are meant to mount these without either breaking something or just not being able to flex that mounting bracket enough to mount it properly.
    So yea, get 3x better 140 fans to replace them, and be prepared for a ROUGH mounting application.

      I had to RMA mine once due to Lian Li having a pump failure issue with some of the earlier batches. As far as I know the new ones to marked should be fixed now. i've neve liked AIO coolers as I rhink that unless AIO is the only option that works then if you're going to use liquid then just go all out and get the best you can. This however I would definitely buy as I thought V2 was awesome but like you what put me off was the design of the pump block. With the new design if I were being forced to use AIO then this would be my first choice without a doubt

    My previous experiences with AiOs have made me rather "gun shy." Granted this was over 3 to 5ears ago; but, I lost two "high end" PCs due to unannounced failure of the AiOs. One had its pump "give up the ghost" while the computer was left unattended (my fault) and the other sprung a leak on the CPU and fried the CPU, motherboard, and even the Sound Blaster card. I swore I'd never trust another AiO ever again; but, maybe it is time for me to reconsider.

    I love your videos, but this wasn’t a good test. The P7 is not an issue, it’s a feature (boosting) of the 14th gen. 1) It would be good to know the SP score of that 14900k to know his efficiency , 2) Asus MCE should be enabled Remove all limits, 3) SVID behavior set to Trained, 4) AVX enabled and user specified to 0. Please look at the SVID. For just 1 run of CB or 10 min, shouldn’t be above 290W. It’s a simple CB23 test, not CB15Extreme, CB24 or Y cruncher VST+VT3 or SFT. You have to tune you VF curve and then move the curve with IA_LL’s.. that’s the proper way. Then, as many users posted here, the T30 at 3000RPM or the BeQuiet Silent wings Pro 4 at 3000RPM are a must for any rad. All AIOs work pretty much the same, I have a Nucleus, an LT750, and the old EK Elite. These CPUs require tuning, even if you get one binned. The other hint would be, ICCMAX to 420A, in ASUS BIOS should be set to 12, to avoid any current transient spike (for long-term tests)
