We have a Bichon, 7 months old. She hates getting groomed. I brush her every day and clean her eyes but she hates when I touch her legs/feet or try to turn her over on her belly. Today the groomer gave her an "F" for her behavior. She would not let her use the buzzer so she had to scissor cut her. She also tried to bite her which she has never done before nor showed signs off. When she gets anxious she wants nothing todo with a treat, so bribery won't work. HELP!!!

I have a 3 year old Corgi, Teddy. The first time he went to the groomer he was pretty bad. But she and i continued to work with him, and he seemed to tolerate it. I had to change groomers because of a scheduling issue and went to a different groomer. He seemed to be tolerant of her, but still pretty feisty. She left and moved somewhere pretty far away, so we started with a different groomer in the same place. He seems to really like Teddy but now, Teddy is so feisty that he can’t even do anything. I’m trying to work with him at home, but he runs away every time I even show him the brush. I’ve tried giving him treats, but if you know, Corgis, they are exceptionally smart, and he isn’t going to be swayed by a treat. I’m at a loss right now because he really needs a good trim but I don’t want to put him through that experience because it seemed to be traumatizing. I will say that when we go to the place, Teddy happily runs up the stairs to see his friend, the groomer, but once he starts the process, Teddy turns into the Tasmanian devil. I’ve purchased your programs when I first got him and they were very helpful. Now I desperately need help with this!
You will probably need to start over with the grooming training at home, at a pace that works for Teddy. You'll probably need to find a new and high value treat just for this training!
I have an 8 mobile Lhasa. Our groomer comes to our home. She did most of the things you showed in your video. She is great!

This has come at the best time as I’ve started to get him used to the brush but I was winging it. Have booked a puppy groom next week and wanted to prepare him.

Our groomer is amazing. Cooper is one and has kind of always had issues at the groomer, just not able to cooperate. He is very head shy at home, and we have been trying to train it. His last groomer session, he snapped at the groomer when she was trying to blow dry him, unfortunately :( she paused the session and didn’t push anything further thank goodness. I’m so worried it will escalate.
It's great that she stopped and heeded his wishes. You can give him a break and then re-start the grooming preparations as explained in this video!

We have a 10 week old lab. She hasnt gone to the groomer but i have had to bathe her. She doesnt love it
Now that you have some tips you can help her feel better about it. Just go slow on the training!
