Finally it's happening... along with my old but growing lego star wars collection, i'm creating a new lego ww2 army. I'm thinking I might have a star wars lego army using stormtroopers but at the same time have a ww2 lego army using actual storm troopers lol. That could make for an interesting world war 2 lego build or starwars lego build. To be honest come to think of it maybe I could merge the two and do a combined lego starwars build and lego world war 2 build where one world is spilling out into the other? Man this scots plastic channel has so much potential... I'm considering doing lego stop motion for my star wars minifigures and ww2 minifigures. But I'd probably need a few more lego build kits before I jump into stopmotion as my bricks are limited at the minute.
So this video is specifically going to be a lego d-day build where i build the lego normandy landings with only 90 minutes on the clock. Yes ww2 d-day lego base speed build. I'm not sure if people call it lego d-day, lego d day or lego dday.. but I'm going to mention day lego, d-day lego and d day lego just to make sure this ww2 lego build gets the attention it needs!
Whilst this lego speed build in 90 minutes is kind of just a genereic lego wwii battle, it's possible that I could do historical lego battles with historical lego minifigures? maybe lego d-day, lego stalingrad? Or maybe even just more lego napoleonic wars or lego ww1? Where do we even start...

Im scottish and i also love lego
Looks so good😂
rAiD sHaDoW lEgEnDs PlAy NoW😂💀
Lego swat team
I also love lego and and I love World War II history I love the history of the world I'm also a Irish and part Scottish I'm European
Hey, we gotta give him credit. He spends so much real life money on Lego, he deserves more support.
Yea, but look at those JUICY views
He at least deserves 100,000 sub
@@LoushanDingleNut Like his other channel plastic scot
Heck yeah
Bro wait till you see how much i spent on napoleonic wars lego in an upcoming video
That'a a huge improvement from the 90 min builds, you didnt disappoint. I would just like to point out that the water needs some work. You could also diversify the terrain techniques. Still a very good diorama, I'm looking forward to the next part.
Agreed a good technique for water is tiling it off with trans blue tiles to creat better water but the builds are getting better and you can tell he takes his time on the videos and builds and I recommend brickarms for weapons and helmets
Yeah feels like I've actually entered the somewhat competant builders division lol. Certainly got a lot to work on and need a lot more bricks.. but it's a start
1:31 "oh hold on a minute theres an imposter among us...... KILL IT" that broke me🤣
Really good build but just two thing:
1. Too much vegetation (TBH looks like a jungle)
2. Plants don't grow on stone
All in all really good build (certifies master builder).
LOL true
true
1. agree - i also didnt use enough dark green or brown so it all looked a bit over saturated
2. partially agree - quite a few plants do grow out of rocks or tiny bits of grass on rocks, but i didn't blend it well enough in this video
Pouvez vous mettre un lien pour les pièces ? @@ScotsPlastic
If you are running out of bricks and need support, I recommend to use Duplo and bricks that you don’t need as fillers.
YES FINALLY!
My building needs to be faster lol
Finally a new WW2 Lego video!
honestly really enjoying these videos, not stopping any time soon lol
15:18 first of all that looks amazing. I could see that at a convention. my only critique that there's not much detail in the water. but that's it otherwise it looks amazing.
yeah very true.. i dont have enough bricks yet to properly texture water! Something for me to work on i guess
This build came out great! Although, I'd disagree with your decision on the trenches. It looked much better with dirt in my opinion. The bunkers are really good though. All super accurate.
Let’s go new vid this is why we are being held captive to make the other videos
You are being held captive for other reasons
Finally a finished one
only took me 6 videos to actually finish a build LOL
It's sure fun people bringing back lego popularity
You should make custom boats so the water part is less empty
Nice build, one thing that gets me is those bunkers didn't exist on d-day, only saving private ryan
Perhaps a bit of brown to represent wooden planks, as well as on the sides of the trench wall.
Lego can be expensive, so I'm glad you took the time and money for this video scroger.
Also, I could maybe recommend using some transparent blue pieces in the water, to maybe simulate waves/reflectance.
glad you're enjoying it - also very good feedback about the water sadly i just dont have enough pieces to have a 2nd layer yet, which is what I think you need to use those bit?
@@ScotsPlastichhiii
@@ScotsPlastic You shouldve left some brown plates or smt in the trenches
Wow! I could never even imagine building something with such detail! Especially in less than an hour! Great job!
Scots got the bag to afford the plastic 👏
That build looked pretty dang good for being a build of that scale
yeah i crammed in a decent bit of detail seeing as it's not a huge scale
I would have you look at Cobi for WW2 vehicles. Not a cheap knockoff but rather a different brand of brick. Amazing vehicle builds.
Yeah they are, will try and do any vehicles builds with legit lego from now on tho
@@ScotsPlastic You could make a Brecourt Manor moc for the next build. Use scenes from Band of Brothers for reference.
I think the foliage really makes it top notch, that's a lot of detail and it looks great! Also good use of those cheese slope pieces, they can add a ton of detail and depth!
I tried using slope pieces but i didnt have enough to do the whole thing yet so it just looks a bit off. Also thanks man, the foliage was decent but i think a bit more dark green and brown on the ground would make it look a bit more realistic
this was a pretty dope video please make more ww2 mocs. Its always so satisfying to me watch someone get better and better at building and that your limited with the bricks you have. makes it interesting with the creativity you have
i have so many more ideas for ww2 don't worry.. just not sure which one to try first
this never fails to entertain me
gooooood anakin gooood
hey scot just a building tip: to save on some money, instead of using expensive grey parts or just parts that could be used elsewhere, try purchasing "filler brick" in other words lego bricks that are dirt cheap due to their colors like blue, yellow, red etc those colored bricks are really cheap and lots of pro builders tend to use them for filler brick, in this case you couldve used some filler brick under the bunker were you placed all those grey pillars, and also some to make your beach more elevated than just flat looking. for water I suggest going with transparent light blue studs! GREAT VID!
This was an amazing build dude. Great little display piece. U should see if you can get a Sherman or Hobbarts Funny tank on there as well, like a crab or dd tank. Can't wait for more builds
"There's an imposter kill it!" Got me dying🤣
Absolutely awesome love it! 😎
I love Lego and also WW2 and I wish I could build this type of stuff, thanks for making me think of trying to do this you are a big inspiration and the build was awesome I would love to see more soldiers and vehicles.
This could be a legit LEGO set if LEGO actually did guns and war I think you did good
now we get to see a finished build
That build is awesome I could never build something like that!
The thing is, building with Lego for me is very easy, and I can build really good builds if I actually had the right colours and amount of Lego. It just takes a lot of imagination, thinking, patience and time. But for me in this case is very fast thinking and I can just pick out the right blocks without thinking. Just something I've been doing since I was 8 (15 now)
NICE VIDEO 👍
Actually the trenches in D-Day the bottom of the trench were dirt so the drown bricks would be more accurate.
I see you are getting better at building.👍
i mean it couldnt have gotten worse from the first few videos lol
I love the ww2 builds you do please make more of them, even thou you are spending your live spendings for them
i will continue to spend my life savings on ww2 mocs
Imagine if Scots accidentally drops his beautiful Lego Moc he spent hours building 💀
Wouldn't surprise me honestly
Grandpa:hey grandson what are you making with that lego?
Grandson:i am making D-Day
Grandpa:*Flashback*
Wow man! Great build. You are improving so much! Awesome bunker design! I used one from battle brick which is a custom site in a ww2 moc I made on my channel and it looks great!
i wish i had some rounded bricks for the bunker but its a good start, thanks mate!
I know what you can do you can put down the brown bricks and then you can put some wood bricks over the brown bricks to make it look like an actual trench
There is a 2x2 corner slope pice and it’s in light blueish gray that would work perfectly for the corner of that large bunker
yeah i need more rounded pieces for the bunkers in general. My light bluish grey brick collection is sorely lacking
What i think wohld make it better is a couple of WW2 D-DAY boats
just found this channel and i love it, absolutely LOVE it my guy! keep it up!
ahhhhh nice thanks man! i'm on the grind but i have a lot to learn!!
I love this channel! As a german I can say das ist einfach genial!
Yessss thanks mate, got a lot more cool builds coming up soon!
This looks so amazing. But to tile off the water would be very nice! Also hope you make fx a military boat in the future! (full respect to you)
Agree.. just dont have enough bricks sadly. Literalyl ran out of grey plates for higgins landing craft and didnt have enough blues for texture on water
That looks so good!
What is suggest for the sea in the future would be to use see through light blue studs. It gives off a more watery effect which would make this build look 10x better then it already is! The build is really good though Scot!
Yeah honestly the beach needs blending in better. The bottom of the beach was completely flat and really uninteresting.. needs work but i can't afford the bricks yet ahahah
@@ScotsPlastic yeah it’s understandable lol. Maybe make a part 2 to this build in the future once you are able to afford all of the pieces :))
Really good build, I will say I preferred the brown but with the barrels on thing it’s fine I just like it now being all gray. But I feel there may have been too much foliage and it looks more pacific jungle and less European field
Also raid sponsor noice but sussy Scot
i think brown makes more sense in trenches dug into the grassland instead of cliffs i dunno. Too much foliage yes I would agree
This D-day build looks awesome keep doing this!
Will revisit this when i am a better builder and see what i can improve on!
@@ScotsPlastic you will become a god builder
Bruv there is a bipod on that MG42 for a reason, mate. Maybe that German machine-gunner just has infinite ammo and doesn't need to let go of that gun to reload.
He did well tho
Honestly, Lego should have added Lego Military since there is Lego City and stuff. Maybe just make it 12+
Build the soldiers! Liberate the German concentration camp! With the new Lego city military set
some recommendations i have are: way too much foilage, germans didn't use on beach defences, and a seawall
agree on the vegetation, but for the defences it was mostly just to make the build look more interesting rather than a real representation
@@ScotsPlastic i get that
super cool! your building is very good
Scott, I would just like to say you have some talent for this hobby you have! as a fellow lego enjoyer its great to see someone improve so greatly!
Thanks I really enjoyed seeing what i can do and look forward to stepping my game up even more
@@ScotsPlastic no problem!
Not bad at all. The two things I would point out that need help are the water with some waves and tiles and such. Also, dark tan as the water hits the beach. One other thing would be that I would have liked to see the muddy brown in the trenches. Not the whole thing but maybe in the center and sporadic.
This has been your best build yet keep surprising us😊🎉
"Im going to remove the browns"
had me wheezing
its awesome
WOW!
And you spent alot of money for us,im thankful for you
Nice vid I hope the part 2 comes out soon
He needs to do a lego roman battle scene i think that would look awesome. Just imagine the roman cavalry with their bows and swords charging at the enemy on horse back.
Scots plastic/plastic Scott this is a fabulous build.sadly I don’t German and American lego figures.
Also you said fg-44 when it’s actually called fg-42😂❤
I think it would have looked good if you had used small brown plates to put in the trench to make it look more dirty and rugged. Which is how it would had been in the real trenches
Would be cool with some boats on the water, but a really good build!
Your detail is awesome!
Another great video!
I recommend dark tan bricks near the water and then it’s slowly turns too light tan as it goes up shore
PlasticScot
The brown looks so much better for the trenches 😭😭😭
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH
I love the barre, mini figure
Good idea you could’ve done is add little circle things I forgot what they are called on the beach and on the water to make it look like blood, and to make it look like the water is bubbly
Hey Scot! 🏴
As I am a Scottish Lego Animator I would like to give ya some feedback about ur builds!
Right so on the beach I would reccomend more details on the sand and the main rocks, also I would reccomend more death/blood in ur build maybe some studs and stuff but other than that it is an
Fabulous Moc!
I’ve watched this about 5 times now 😅 keep it up 👍
How that looks so good
nice build keep up the good work
Will do mate... need to get some vehicles involved tho
I love that
I recommend for the builds in the fucher using brick arms ,brick tactical, battle brick they all have great world war custome Lego parts and Lego kits
Also great video
also for pilers to hold up inclines in the build if you can’t see them from the veaw of the build use windo or door panels and random bricks and only use grey whear it’s visible so it saves you those parts and can make the builds a tiny bit less expensive probably
yeah i have seem quite a few of those, the only issue is that they are so expensive :O
Ya they are
Worth it though but definitely exspensive also great video
It’s so cool
I feel like you should put the anti tank and air down put a guy in that one bunker put some landing craft put some people running out of it,and possibly add some downed or wounded soldiers.
Awesome build!
Thank you good sir. Guards on top.
i never thought i would like lego videos so much
ahahaha neither did i mate... minecraft in real life
It will make it good
One word, NICE
NICEEEEEEEEE
Lego is Happynes,happynes is Good!
Scot, I would love to see a video of Napoleonic wars build for Lego!!!
I think you shouldnt add too much vegetation you should add like 4 trees also for the empty bunker since you dont have enough minifigure use the fg42 guy in the bunker also there shouldnt be any vegetation on beach like on the sand but i do like how you put the rocks and for detail other than that i think its good i give it about 8.7/10 for a beginner its pretty good
yeah definitely a lot to work on and agree the foliage was a little over the top but thanks!
The burger part😂
If you make another d-day beach, take into the account that on most of the battlefields, specifically Omaha beach, there were no slopes or hills to climb. The entire shorelines were just Water-->Long beach-->Cliffs with no slopes. The soldiers had to use ropes and raise up their weapons and injured to get up the cliffs. Everything else is spot-on and perfect! Except for the vegetation which looks too jungle-ish. Try to make the vegetation more grass like instead of plants and stuff. Try not to add too many trees and if you are going to add any i suggest an oak tree. Of course its all up to you but im just giving tips.
You had to do the Brown on the floor, that is so much better !!
I Love it
Who every enjoyed this video would love to watch my new lego D-day moc series on my channel 🔥
This is amazing
Thanks!
please make a veitnam war moc i love your videos and appreciate that you put a smile on my face and this is one of the best mocs i have ever seen!
1x1 blue trans cylinder pieces look great as water or dark and light blue studs
Cool
I love history and Lego so I subscribed my guy
The brown actually looks good to me
True
