Most likely the Passwords were added for the international release since the game was release in 2002 outside of Japan and as a compensation for losing the compability with the Pocket Station while Duelist of the Roses was release the next year (in Japan was already out and was also able to use the Pocket Station (the international version also can and all the data was translate from Japanese)) @don_holiday
@don_holiday it’s fun for me it gets easier the more you dive into the game and understand the core mechanics of the fusion system but I love speed running a few games of different variants like one of my favorites ninja gaiden black
My issue is that while there is a lot of skill involved in deck building and knowing synergies and such, it's all kind of irrelevant cause if you get unlucky with draws a perfect deck could lose to a terrible deck.
This game deserves a re-release in a collection of yugioh games and no it’s not in the early days collection but in early days collection 2 it could. And what’s more Konami must fix every issue possible if they where to do that
Fun Fact:The password you gain at the end of this game is for Duelist of the Roses.
I saw a password come up during the credits but I had no idea what it was for! I assumed you put it in the Star Chips unlock thig!

I'm actually not familiar with other Yu-Gi-Oh games at all, I'll have to look up duelist of the roses next!!
As a runner of this game this was great to watch good job
Thank you so much :) Crazy respect for anyone who runs this game, it looks brutal!!!
