I feel like you should've waited on the butter and use it to baste during the searing point, because smoking low and slow means it just melted off and did really not much, plus you want the butter froth for the flavor on beef. Butter just cause flare ups here tbh. Looks good though.

I did taste a bit of the butter, however, I agree. Most of it melted off prior to a sear.
You never invite me over for Prime Rib like that but I get all the invites for smoked chicken feet and your famous haggis dinner.
