NSPORT Project i30N gets Motec M142, Flex fuel E85, and hits the track for time attack battle!

- The i30N has been in hiding for a while due to some tuning gremlins we could not seem to iron out since last year. Under boost at the upper end of the rev limits the car would sputter and misfire. Multiple flash tunes and piggy backs couldn't seem to fix the problem, so she was packed away while we waited for someone to develop a standalone ECU, rather than wasting our money entering track days and having the car throw limp codes all day.
Enter Powertune Australia with their own MOTEC M142 PnP ECU!
Finally we were able to figure out what was going on with the i30 and while we were at it add a flex fuel sensor.
Considering we predict a fair power bump, it was time for a new clutch from Xtreme, and a few other little modifications including a Big Mouth air intake from CMA and some new 265 wide Nexen Sur4G rubber.
Just how much power can we make with the new mods, and can we be competitive in this year's biggest time attack battle, the King of Queensland Raceway??

My first upgrade am thinking about is a racechip but I have been skeptical about it being a scam but after seeing you guys put it in the N I figured it works.

TCR motorsport pump goes in next week and will hit the dyno again. Interested to see whether that's the restriction or if it's the turbo.

downforce on the rear end, from the last competition the rear was very tail happy so they added the wing to help.

What offset are toy running on the front, I’m looking for a mew set of wheels to run my 245/40/18 tyres
You can run, +45 to +50 with that set of tires. I have 235/40 R18 +45 occasionally rubbing side fender if i hit a bump at speed. To be safe with your 245 ill go 50 but you might have inner rubbing at max cornering.
so the wheels on the front of this car is 18x9 +43 with heaps of camber pulling the tops in to clear the guards
@@idacian74 you wont, i have +55 with 245 and i have no rubbing even on track hitting ripple strips or doing u turns
why not just put all TCR parts on this or buy TCR car ??
As an example of why not, just the TCR exhaust manifold and turbo is $23,000.....
Plus this is a street registered road car.
