I'm getting ready to do this same job...I noticed you didn't use a torque wrench if I can do the job without one that would be great...how tight can I safely tighten the waterpump bolts without breaking any.....thanks..your video was a big help...
So much easier having installed an electric fan with enclosure. No fan clutch or shroud in the way right outta the gate. Cuts install time by over half. Tip: I usually will replace the serpentine belt at the same time just to be proactive.
I'm gonna try this single mom not a mechanic but I'm confused w the cleaning and the draining as it wasnt in the video I wonder if I can do it myself of I get the tools n parts
All you should need is the new water pump, and some basic tools. the hardest part might be getting the fan off the water pump. there's some special tools you can rent from Autozone that can help you and they're free to rent.Or you can use a hammer and chisel to tap it like I do in the video to remove it. just make sure all the mating surfaces are extremely clean before installation, good luck!
Is there anybody ever tried to do this without taking all that stuff out of the way I’m gonna try it on my daughters to change the water pump without taking none of that stuff off all gonna do is drain the antifreeze and take the fan off and lay it up by the radiator and then change the water pump I really truly think there’s enough room I think you guys are tearing too much apart but we’ll see
Fan comes off to the left, just what I needed to see being done. Thanks for doing this video.
I think only a few cars go the other way. A good way to find out which way to turn it is it'll usually be the opposite direction the pulley spins.
And you're welcome of course
Excellent video and explanation of procedures gotta change mine on an 06
Broo that background music is vibing your video heavy!!!
Thanks man! Helped me out tons.
Glad to help!!
I've done it twice on mine. I cut a gap in my fan shroud the first time . Glad I did it makes it much easier to get in and out
Yes sometimes when I see they've been notched by the customer or previous mechanic, I'm happy because I know it'll be a little easier coming out 😆
Wow absolutely amazing
Thanks
directions very good thanks.
Another great vid!

You should torque them down to around 15 lbs but getting them decently tight is all you need.
Thanks man...I really appreciate the help
≈89 inch/lbs

Thank you for your help.
Thank you 🙏🏿 very much
Should I put sealant on both side of the gasket ?
yes a small amount on both sides. The gasket is designed to be used dry, so as long as the surfaces are clean, you're good to go!
Also did u buy new fan?? New pump??

A very good video, but you left out a very very important item the torque settings.
Thank u!!
RTV is not an RV. Monkey wrench is not a plumber's wrench.
Good job. You're smart
