With the leafs part you talk about it did work better. I cut down the non native, classified as weeds called privets which sprout or flower poisonous purple balls and are towards dogs babies so I cut them down since doing that the big leafs as you say in other vids about the drain being blocked even before I took my grates off. If the drain was getting blocked well before I took my grates off, that means the big leafs were still getting through the grates? I cut the trees down. I opened my grates to eventually replace them. Since doing this the trees i have cut down and with the grates open and with all this rain, it has allowed the drain pipe to create a bigger suction funnel unblocking the pipe deeper down the drain. Have you seen how much quicker the water now subsides in that area with all this rain we have had. The pipe unblocked with gravity feed and now with no trees theres no big leafs. Oh my, did someone else just fix the long-term issue you have whinged about, and it was you.
