I have the same issue with the drill hammer switch. I found that if I tap the switch lightly, say with the handle of a screwdriver or even the SDS end of the bit I'm using, it will free up and I can switch modes. I assume it's caused by an overzealous retention spring in the mechanism which could do with a bit of trimming, but I just couldn't be bothered to open the thing for now. And sending it back to Lidl is a pain in the backside. Last thing I sent over for servicing took them 3 months to send back and it was in fact a new product which pi*sed me off worse than the delay. It basically means the tool I sent for servicing is filling up the dump pile for a small part that they should have available.
Sadly what I noticed is when they have made a good product when it comes back again it's made even cheaper and nastyer, loads of there hand tools where brilliant like there filling scrapers / knives, the mini ratchet and bit set was also good, Yeah there service concept of just F it in the bin just a joke
The hammer switch breaking is just sawdust or plastic coming in the metal ball. Its a spring pressing a metal ball and that holds the switch in place. Just clean it out with wd40 and its fine. I had the same issue. After this never had any problems with it.
I have that hammer drill and never had any issues with it after doing 50% of a full house renovation with it. For the 25€ it cost me it is probably one of the ones i would most recomend. Maby you have a different production run.

parkside mini angle grinder's switch is also quite inadequate. i often have to hit it with a hammer to turn on after the outer switch is clicked. something is loose inside. parkside drill press is also a barely useable product. the table is both slacking away from the rod and turning left and right no matter how much its bolt (M8 or M10, 4.something hardness index) is tighten. depth gauge broke before first use. 1 out of 3 handle arms are loose. parkside combined jigsaw-sabersaw's selector lever (pendulum/straight mode) also often stucks like in the video. 70 cm straight edge+square+protractor tools is inaccurate by about 0.5-1°. parkside laser distance meter is completely unreliable. there is a 2 cm gap in the floor in my room because of it.

I love your way of assessing tools. I did buy a much earlier Parkside rangefinder at Lidl about 3 years ago. That seems to be OK on the room refitting and shelving projects I have done, but I haven't used it enough to be sure yet. What I did look at was the Lazer leveling device, but I was dubious about the quality of it and that really needs to work reliably - Have you tried one of them?
Hay thanks for watching, yeah I would highly recommend the Bosch quago and there Lazer spirit level they are not in the professional range so there a bit cheaper both worth every penny the quago from Bosch especially it's been such a big help in the building site I use it constantly and I'm. Not disappointed with it it's only a x axis but it will square of a room and do most jobs, the Lazer level is good for stairs picture's any thing that's off level as well as level
Range finder. Makes nice bleepy noises and tells me indeed that I am a stud . Absolutely fantastic description. For that alone I'm buying one to show my Mrs. (Not really)
yeah, dont buy their pneumatic impact, youre better off just taking the socket in your hand and turning on and off your bolts, its weeeak! also, their small bench grinder, with that flexible driven output on the side, shure, for grinding small balsa woodensticks, it might work. Any kind of metal? absolutly no. Have had their angle grinder, the first one had a defect, so that the cutting disc was wobbeling side to side 0.5cm, went back to the store and took another one from the shelf. Have beaten on it for over a year now, heavy and hard to get into places, but still works! Gonna buy their 20v drill next time i have the opportunity, they seem pretty good also.
Cool . I have an impact screwdriver 20 volt and a cordless drill 20 volt from Parkside brand . They are brilliant. They are used 5 days a week and I have lots of batteries as they are cheap . My impact has started to make a funny noise as it's nearly fucked but I still have the receipt and a year left on the warranty. I know they don't stock them anymore until the summer so I get a replacement then. I did buy another because the batteries will be no use without the tools when I see them. First one was £20 . Better than paying £200 for a quality one where the batteries are £80 each . When I brought the impact drill a customer ask me to get her one , but when I did they changed them so the new ones are smaller and £30 so I didn't bother.
Some of their stuff is fantastic, the professional parkside 20v SDS is fantastic for it's weight class, the impact driver is also good for the price, if I was to buy an impact wrench again for wheel nuts I would buy Bosch though

This presenters’ command of the English language is astounding, the description (or lack of) the products gives nothing more than his opinion without any factual justification. Why would you take this review seriously when the products are aimed at the diy market for occasional use. We have used Parkside tools for many years in a commercial environment, where they are never stolen, they’re cheap enough should they break when dropped or drowned you simply buy another and Lidl give excellent warranties on most of them. If, after purchase they are generally refunded without question, or that has been the case in our experience but was this mentioned? Maybe I missed it but with every review it is best to expand somewhat. Interesting also, the two replies, other than this at the time of pressing the keys are from the author which says a great deal as he continues with his rant in the same mode as the audio. A video perhaps to achieve an income stream?

He saw his old workshop and she said your welcome to take stuff away as ive no use for them.. Picked up a record power bandsaw, giant industrial belt sander for free.. I think the husband used to make hurleys for the irish hurling crowd... Absolutely delighted I was obviously ...hahaha
The "latest" doosie is the Scheppach table-saw. Yours in the near past for around €100...or less. Out this weekend for the "bargain" price of €300.... some hike.... still a bit naff too. Their tools have all gone to feck - that sandblaster is some pish - bought one, lol - shoite.. past Fartshyte angle grinders were alright - those too are now gone to feck - last one stuck less than an hour before the smoke escaped.. They did/do an air-powered polisher - it's brilliant, as are their cheapo air spray guns - you've to dick with them a bit, but they're a great spraygun for the money. Unlike their impact drivers - those are pish.. That moisture meter works alright - for firewood, which is what I use it for. Fine for the price.
@@shugthehornyhaggis Yeah - exactly. I bought a Titan instead for 150 & am chuffed with it - cuts great once set up right.
I bought the stud finder, absolute shite! Don’t waste your time!
Got some Parkside tools and they do the job, none of them are in your review except the moisture meter which I only use for me firewood ,how fucking lucky am I.😀
Hammer drill is a best buy
It is great but mine broke twice the 3rd one is an absolute banger of a wee SDS
'It's effing this and effing that'. So incisive, such pinpoint analysis.
@@shugthehornyhaggis Keep "effing" away man. Its fucking good banter and it gives your channel originality.
Also, when you said you sent your tools back and they sent you a new one. Do you need to keep all the original stuff like packaging and manuals, etc (obviously you need the receipt too?) ?
@@shugthehornyhaggis Oh nice one. This is good information (possibly a good idea to do a video on this). Do you need to pay for shipping when sending back for repair yeah?
Don't be such a snowflake. Don't like it? Don't watch it.
@@wuddadid shipoing is free from here thanks for the positive comments
Great reviews!! Thanks!
Spot the Americans
I have the same SDS drill and I didn’t have an issue yet (touch wood) you probably were fu***ng unlucky with those drills 😂
I have that SDS drill for over 3 years and it's a beast it had served me well.
Parkside has some decent gear but their quality control isn't great. Like the man says: keep returning broken tools until you get a good one.
That's the way, gsrentee is there for that
I totally agree with you Parkside products are rubbish I brought on 23-1-24 hammer Drill PSBM 750 B3 used only once couldn't even drill 2 holes in concrete it just stopped no power as if it was a rechargeable and needed charging I left it a while came back to start it, it had no power I turned up the speed nothing happened no speed total waste of money wish I hadn't brought it waiting for Parkside to get in touch with me about the products but I promise you I'll never buy any other Parkside products it came from Lidl's never again thanks for your video very informative cheers.....
I agree with you, however parkside tools have a 3 year guarantee. For the first year through the shop you bought it you should have taken it straight for a replacement or your money back,
It's very hit or miss with parkside and the revisions are normally to make it cheaper and more plasticy.
Pick a brand and buy in to that system truth is the 4 or 5 main brands all make good tools, spend the money on the biggest battery you can rather than multiple smaller ones better one 6ah than 2 1.5ah, I went with Bosch, dewalt, makita, Milwaukee, hilti and featool
@shugthehornyhaggis I couldn't take back to Lidl because I couldn't find my receipt I got in touch with lidl back and forth took video of how slow it was running I don't think they understood what I was saying they said had I check the fuse ! To cut a long story short, they sent me another, which came today, 5.2.24. I haven't tested it yet, and I will do it tomorrow and see how it goes.
They told me to hang on to the other drill in case my new one has a problem. If so, they will collect both and refund me. I've already decided I'm going for a Dewalt drill 😉 thanks for you're adive wish I'd seen you're post before I brought the drill because I wouldn't have. I hope the new one will be ok 👍
@fahimmahmad9731 after a little bit of hassle that's not too bad would certainly be better if you just got your money back,
Spend a little bit more and buy American made DeWalt they will last forever the cheap Chinese DeWalt have crap batteries,
@shugthehornyhaggis yes, I totally agree. I did ask for my money back because I didn't have a receipt to show them they said it would have to be repaired but then said they would send another, which they have I sent Lidl my back statement so they could see I brought from them on January 23-24 they have said though if the new drill fails they'll give me a refund my garage is made of concrete so I'll be drilling inside to test it I'll let you know how I get on with it if I may thanks again for your feedback
Great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
1:34 lol - Too honest!
Cheap shit not great but expensive good stuff not cheap de Walt Milwaukee five hundred euro
You do get what you pay for, Milwaukee is walking away with it these days any thing from tti
lol love the description 😆
😂
Why do feel the need to swear so much
Because I'm a bad boy that needs spanked.
Thank fuck finally a review channel I can understand.
Brilliant 😂🤣😂
Great review hahahah
Thanks
Parkside = Schrott
😂😂😂
Instead of buying tools buy a bar of soap and wash your mouth out no need for the bad language
Do you enjoy having a pathetic existence, does it hurt to know you have never made a woman orgasm.
You even liked your own comment, what a sad sack
@andycapp3867 ok that says it all, you would never use these tools in. Any commercial environment,
They are cheap DIY tools for a reason their performance is not great the quality is terrible,
It must be horrible working for your company no good tools and having to put up with you every day who thinks parkside is good for a job site.
Why should you trust my review of a product, you shouldn't,
But I'm not paid to make the videos and I don't make any money from it so I'm deffo not shilling for parkside
If it's shite it's shite and I'm going to say it's shite,
Your ability to write is hindered by adding 2 + 2 and getting 5
You can't monetize videos with swearing especially with swearing in the first minute
You would earn about ten pence from 10 thousand views, I would be surprised if this video has 500 views
Have a lovely day Andy and thanks for watching it certainly made you up set enough to write a letter,
@@shugthehornyhaggis Your command of the English language is on a par with your ability to read and understand the written word. Calm down and read the post, in particular the second sentence. If you’re not making the review for monetary gain then do please expand further and explain your motive. My post explains exactly why and with absolute clarity we use some Parkside tools on site.
Not wishing to waste your time further but one employee, site agent retired after 32 years with us.
When you have matured, perhaps grown up would be more appropriate you may understand the reason why it’s difficult to reason with stupidity.
Foul language is off putting...shame.
Are you 3, I'm doing tool reviews, not toy reviews, swearing is meant and is deliberate it weeds out the weak from my channel like you I guess, so take your Gay ass disposition to a channel with adverts that don't tell you the truth, I make no money so I tell the truth
Well said and an other snowflake goes boo hoo hoooo🤣🤣🤣🤣
I worked on sites for 50 years and that was how 90 percent of the men spoke and no offence was taken.
No matter how much I want to keep on swearing, if I want to re monetize my channel, I need to Keep the bad words down and follow the current political climate,
