Yes, I absolutely agree. Novikova is a beautiful dancer--exquisite line, pristine technique, but she always seems so concentrated. Even when she does very dramatic roles, it's as if she's holding back, she never makes the full impact that she should. She has incredible potential to become a highly expressive dancer, but she needs to let go.
Ughh! Did they even tune properly beforehand?! It's horrendous. Does it want to be anymore laborious? Really feel for the dancers here. Musicians really let them down.
Who changed the original orchestration from Aubèr??? It is unbearable!!! Those kitchy sounds - lousy played by the way - are an insult to such splendid dancers!

Cannot agree with you. She is lovely to watch. Only Sylvie Guillem did it better.
