Amazing video. I joined lounge a couple of years back for the exact same reason you did. Although I’m not the same time zone as you I still just wanted to be able to play 150cc only 12p matches on a consistent basis. When I joined I was TERRIBLE. I think I fell to -3k mmr at my lowest on rts and was pretty much the laughingstock of any Lu I was in. I wasn’t as good at handling the excess of hate comments as you are, so it got frustrating over time. It’s encouraging to see your unadulterated joy for the game and positive attitude in general, I hope that doesn’t change.

AMAZING video, this video is *proof* that MKW isn’t necessarily about winning, it’s about doing your best, learning, and enjoying the crazy moments the game throws at you. Many people lose sight of that after playing for a long time though. I hope you never do. Mario kart Wii is one of the best game because of its endless possibilities. Competitive Mario kart Wii has always been the game where you have to learn many mechanics and optimal lines and learn to read players and create strategies. I’m glad I still see you around the server often and glad you queue everytime you can. I absolutely love this video, keep improving at the game and making friends there. This is a great vid. I’ve been slowly bleeding my MMR and it was getting a bit depressing went from 1000 down to -3300 at a point but now I’m on the way back up now at -1700 so hopefully getting to positives soon

Keep going man. Crazy enough, I had a mogi a few years ago where the exact same thing happened as in the one you got ridiculed. My teammate scored 121 and I dropped 19. However, a few years and maybe like 60 lounge events later (I dont play lounge much) I can say that I'm still not great at lounge, but at least got out of t1. There is hope still for you

I have to say that people who enter unofficial matchmaking for a 15-year old game whose matchmaking ended 10 years ago and then complain about 1 other player being bad are definitely ebarrassing theselves. Maybe it is understandable to be disappointed in having a bad teammate but the way they handled it is definitely immature. If they don't like the format of being on teams with strangers, that's fine, but they should still just say that insttead of taking it out on you, and it's a miracle there''s anyone around to make the game reliably playable in 2023 even if they are bad
while i do get upset at players who are incredibly low skilled, you seem like a genuinely kind guy. it does remind me that we ALL started at a low level and even though we might be a bit better now, there's always room to improve. while this may seem obvious when written out, you can get caught up in your own ego and feel like you're better than you REALLY are. i appreciate the fact that you won't give up no matter what. i hope you continue to grind and grow moving forward!
When I learned about lounge in 2019 I was the worst player of season 3 and could barely break 60. I also think I probably break your lowest score ever with 2pts after 12 races. Now I have hit gold in both rts and cts and I feel like I'm a decently good player. Lounge is fun don't ever give up or let people tell you not play, you will improve with time. Glad to have you in lounge and I look forward to seeing you in events in the future!

if you're a kart main then i think it'd be better to keep playing karts and improving over time with them (not that i'd know much about the kart experience in competive MKW)
I guess you have officially technically achieved more in Mario Kart Wii Lounge than I have 😆 With that said though, we're rooting for your improvement. Mario Kart Wii definitely takes practice and patience. I've improved a lot since I started playing online in the Wiimmfi era last year. It feels very rewarding when you do eventually start winning races and striving for your full potential. Keep at it!
When I joined for end of season 6, beginning of season 7, I was terrible. Now I constantly play the game at 7k mmr. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve never fallen below 2000mmr so I won’t comment on that aspect. But with ur mentality I can see you will improve over time. GLHF
I think the intro could be a lot shorter. It takes almost 2 minutes for the actual video to start, and I think most of that comes from the padding of 0:39 to 1:19. That's 40 seconds of essentially nothing happening, which to me doesn't warrant a 2 minute intro. Another thing I've noticed - Your voice sounds fine, but something sounds off to me. I can't tell if it's your voice blending with the music (but I think I hear ducking being used when your voice kicks in, so this might not be it) or the tone in how you speak.

It's honestly higher than I think most people (including me) expect. Still lounge is probably more expecting of lower player compared to when I joined
