One pedants note is that the Red Arrows fly the BAe Hawk T1A, while operational training happens in Hawk T1 aircraft. It also doesn't have a drop tank! It actually has a Centerline Pod that houses the tanks and associated equipment for the display smoke generator. As well as the straight additive for the white smoke, there are also dyes for the red and blue smoke the Red Arrows use. Looks like a nice model, just needs the smoke generators for the model now.
Yes, you need equipment like a servo tester. Yes, you should test everything before flying. Yes, you should check all factory wiring. Yes, you should check all screws. It's a foam RC plane, not a Chevy Silverado. Count on factory quality control at your own peril!
Aprilia M Gyros work with blue box. Pilot Ryan did a video using the Mig21 where he shows how to install an a3l while using the blue box. No gyro in this video.
Mckaylund Tuttle yes sir. Check the links in the description and look for the HobbySquawk forum link. In there you'll find everything you need to know regarding this aircraft
I pre-ordered one but I do not like the retracts configuration. I will order the upgrades when they are available. I quit buying FMS stuff; however, their model's retracts seems to be more robust than this model. It would not have been too much trouble to add doors to the gear. I hate it when companies try every way possible to cut corners. Perhaps I will purchase both and compare the two. On the other hand, I can almost see divorce papers in one box. Better stick with the one I ordered. I think I know how to add doors to the retracts.
Hey, what!!!, "never stop the RC" surely you JEsT. I know you know how to solve the mystery of the enigmatic and illustrious blue box. If needed we have made videos on the matter.
Sorry, I figured it out. I'm an idiot! It was easy, especially if you plug it in the right way. I'll give you some love tomorrow during our weekly video! Lol
love his energy for the presentation of the plane at the beginning of the video
Looks great in the air with that centreline drop tank!

Thank you Mike once again your the best.
Wow...super awesome. I love it.
Outstanding video
Thanks so much!
Nice video. Should we really need equipment like a servo tester ? I'd hope the product was properly tested prior to leaving the factory ?

Will the a3l gyro work with the blue box ? And was it installed on these flights ??

The icon picture for the video shows it with upgraded landing gear? I'm assuming that will be available in the feature?
