Lloyd at Bumsteads is proud to announce that Bumsteads now carries electric bicycles!
Today he is showing you a bike from Populo - their Lift model.
The battery pack on the bike is in the rack, above the rear tire. It can be removed to charge or you can just charge it right on the bike.
One of the best features of this bike is that it is a good all around bicycle. It has Shimano deraileurs, Tektro disc brakes, and 7 gears. You could ride this without the electric assist and it is a perfectly good bicycle!
The lights are built in and powered by the electric battery. You never have to worry about buying batteries for your lights again!
The control panel on the bike will show you how far you've gone, how fast you're going, and the charge left on the battery. If you press the plus or minus button, you will increase or decrease how much electric assist is helping you pedal.
There is also a throttle on this bike, so if you don't feel like pedaling at all, you don't have to. The max speed is 20 miles an hour, which will get you where you need to go fast and efficiently.
