Keep them videos coming brother. I started driving a mixer truck in November all because I stumbled across one of your videos. I watched everyone of them and have been hooked ever since. Loving everyday of it thanks for what you do and don’t quit on us now.
Our hand signals in AZ are "pinky and thumb out moving back n forth" are lock/unlock chute, flat hand across throat means cut it off, "pacman motion like thumb and 4 fingers going up and down mean a little more" pointer finger in a circle means pour or speed up the feed, flat hand going up and down means slow down the feed of concrete, thumb towards mouth means more water. Obvious forward and backward are common sense.
Loving your videos champion - better than any company training sessions Got my own twin steer freightliner Aggie down here in Australia Keep up the great work mate 👍
I finally started on May 13 and I have learned more from your videos than I have from the guys training me... It's crazy...I knew about a slump because you explained about the higher the number the wetter the slump...I am catching on...I want to one day be able to check or test concrete
What them contractors dont understand, especially to a new driver, is have a lil patience with us because one he starts jumping up and down and yelling and getting all animated is only gonna confuse the driver and get him all flustered as to where if the driver hits the wrong button in panic mode...that could be a bad day for everybody.
I get the odd one trying to give hand signals behind the truck and I can't see them, I stop and stay stopped until they wake up lol..voice commands with stereo blasting next to truck.. that really gets me .
@@readymixmoe6088 lol we got to be careful who we do that to, a lot of our best finishers are Maori (indigenous to New Zealand ) not a good place to be if they lose there sense of humor..."Hell no."
I’ve watch a couple of ur videos and noticed that they pour concrete without putting any rebar down into the form. Where are located. I’m guess it’s not code in ur state
That’s what I love about front discharge mixers. When I pull up to the job I’m the boss. No you can’t yank on my chutes and move them. You will sign my ticket before I pull off the road or you ain’t getting any mud. No you can’t use my water until I’m poured out and at least half washed down. And damnit don’t tell me how I need to do my job when I’ve probably seen more jobs then you’ve even thought to bid on or else you’re getting a 10 yard load all in one big huge ass pile. Sorry about my rant, just don’t think I could tolerate driving a rear. Lol.
Yeah I understand man. These fronts do have a lot of issues, and it does get old. But they make life a whole lot easier if you ask my opinion. Sorry about the rant bro. No harm intended just stating my opinion. Lol.
@@readymixmoe6088 Yea I'm a front discharge kinda guy. The pic is my mixer that I operate every day. I bust my ass keeping it clean. I do miss driving a butt dumper sometimes though.
@@readymixmoe6088 Well that makes sense to me. I would take a new butt dumper over a old worn out front also. I haven't worked in almost 2 weeks because of the weather here in Mi. When you are a driver. There isn’t really a lot of muscle/heavy physical work right? It seems like a technical job right? Love your videos man. God bless!

Are you still working as a mixer driver after these 4 years?🙂
Thank you, this was accurately represented in this field of work. Great video
Just finished my 4th day training today bro and I’ve already had to many jobs with to many chiefs on the chute lol
That's the norm get use to it lol
I had to learn all the signals myself they use different signals like you said for front loaders. And also GA they do all kinds of hand movements.
