This is my favorite way instead of using the Smart Tempo editor (counter-productive). Flex Time is definitely the BEST way to manipulate/flip sample loops! Definitely a gem for all Logic users!!
bro I just started with logic (as a Reason veteran that got pissed of by the last few upgrades makes it completely garbage) so far logic is a mystery and I have to learn everything daw based now. after a few videos I luckily found you! amazing vibe and explanations
Bolo. Just getting back into beat making . Was a FL guy but you have inspired me to switch to logic. I appreciate the teaching big dog. Making this transition much easier
Bolo you are the big homie, you get nothing but respect from me. Great representative for the producers. Some of these dudes act like they so cool. Confidence is a must. But there ain’t no need to act like you better. And I don’t get that vibe from you. I’m going to join one of these battles soon. I need some feed back. But I like to comment and drop my two cents. Because I’ve gained a lot of knowledge from your videos. Stay up brotha. And continue bringing quality content and continue to look out for the congregation✌🏾out bro.
The first method is crazy and I've never known about it before now... 😯 The 2nd method I learned from one of your old videos. Always droppin' gems! Thanks much, Bolo. Salute! ✌
Thanks my brother for making this video becuz I'm pretty much thinking about using logic pro x for the first time of my life.Maan really miss making beats. so please make more of these videos about logic pro x God Bless you my brother keep making them Bangers 💪🏾 1love!
Since you have been getting into the Maschine and Komplete Kontrol here recently, when you get a chance would love to see a video on your workflow and how you integrate those into logic. Long time Maschine and logic user here, Thanks!
Splicebridge is worth - will sync with your daw and when you download, it will download the sample already stretched and to the right tempo/pitch. Handy
Man I love learning new shit in Logic!!! I’ve always used Flex time but I didn’t know you could hold down option and time stretch that way!!!🤯🤯🤯 And my beats always in the red lol Logic can handle it lol
Talk about perfect timing, I'm new to Logic and finding a way to speed up or slow down my samples without messing with the pitch is something I'm struggling with. Salute Bolo I appreciate you big bro 🙌✌
Re: the beat peaking situation I always find it really helpful and quick to use the kick as my reference point. Once I drop the kick in, I make sure its not going past -6 and I just make sure everything else is balanced around that as I build. In my template I have a limiter on the master for loudness. It's really easy and less work that you gotta do later. Once the beat is done there's not really anything else to do but export. Your process is your process though! Just my 2 cents
@@WiLLiEWiLLLXXX I always try to do it at the source, so for me (I use FL studio) I bring it down on the channel rack. Most of my mixer faders stay at zero while I'm producing. I do it all in the channel rack but I monitor the levels on the mixer

Ok I got questions Bolo! You use the drum machine in Logic or you just settin in the midi space? Why don’t you do more vids in Logic? Why don’t more people use Logic? It’s got THE dopest drum machine Apple loops Alchemy Awesome compressors and FX built in I looked at FL and felt claustrophobic creatively Just my opinion
I feel you 1000% I use logic heavy and been debating starting UA-cam to teach what I’ve learned. I feel like Logic has one of the smallest communities and I don’t see enough videos on it.
this 💯. plenty of gems both in apple loops and in alchemy presets. dmd & the step sequencer are dope. I finally got into Quick Sampler a bit more, given the abysmal state of Serato Sample on Apple silicon... and I have to admit, QS is actually really nice and more powerful than Serato for sure. Compressors, the vintage EQs, clean UI that can work well on a small screen, hotkeys that actually make sense... Plus it's been super stable for me on my system.
I used to be able to use follow temp in quick sampler and drag audio samples in there and could just change the note in MIDI to change pitch now everytime I try the sample doesn't stretch to new tempo can anybody help? it was so much easier than the method in this video and could find the key easier
I was going to buy the mpc live 2 I have been using the mpc beats software for now I noticed it only has the 8 midi tracks and 2 audio is this the same with the mpc live 2?
question.. what if i have a sample i chopped thats supposed to be say 86 bpm, but its not an even 4 bar loop but when i time stretch it to 4 its not on tempo... how can i make it correctly on beat/tempo?
Hello Bolo, I've been following you, I'm a beginner in wanting produce. Thank you for doing this tutorial first and for most its helping me. Just had a question on stretching of a loop? Can you do this in all daws? Or is this just for logic?
I have this issue maybe someone could help me address or you Bolo. I am in logic and have a high pitched one shot of a chipmunk type vocal and when I stretch it, it sounds like shit and super granulated, how do I keep the integrity of the high pitch chipmunk vocal but make it longer with out it sounding like a bad slowed down computer vocal? Thanks
I’ve been using logic for 7 years and I’ve never seen anyone drag in a drum sample and Logic automatically creat an instrument track from it… wtttfffff lmao

Will do!

Man, I like the way this is presented. Concise and to the point. Old school way for understanding, then the flex time way to get things done.
Thanks Bolo -- this was straight forward and easy to follow
This video saved my life and cut nonsense production time in half. THANK YOU SO MUCH
I'm new to logic and to beat making. You make this look so easy.

Yes! Made all of my highest charting songs with it
Thank u!!!!!!

Bolo, u still using Studio One. If so, can you demonstrate this with S1. Thanks!

it still works the same Smiling

when I try to stretch the time of the loop it just bounces back to the original length
Can I time stretch someone speaking that I’ve recorded or does it only work with midi?
