Client Eastwood will always remind me of the last vanguard of the greatest generation so sad that last generations legacy could not be continued by the next ones
Their values still are I can assure you!!! I was raised in a community that was extremely small and conservative and wholesome and good. We valued the elderly, fed the hungry, helped our fellow man. They had littles sympathy for a man that wouldn’t work, they were welcoming and amazing. A little town of less than 2,000 I’d say. I see a lot of those values still today in some people. Now, as far as that legendary toughness and that innate thing where they all signed up to serve when America needed them? Also, the just get on with it and not complain when circumstances are tough? That kinda stuff may be gone forever.
Always feels like a ‘true’ song - one with actual meaning. Looking back on your journey and remembering leaving people/things behind, or any regrets really. Although, I somehow feel this song goes hand in hand with just letting go, despite the scars. I think that’s how the often tributed tough people (IE Clint and the generation recently passed/passing) go through it all - they just let go....
I NEVER knew Clint sang this song; thanks Clint! Arguably, the greatest movie theme and song ever! We all have regrets about our past and the choices we make (which is what the song is about)... but it is the reaction to the choices we make that determine whether or not they were good or bad! Now... I have to watch this film tonight! Best actor(s) in Kelly's Heroes... ALL of them: Big Joe Little Joe Pvt. "But it's Babra" Babra Kelly Oddball Crapgame... "Stay lucky you nut!"
Clint Eastwood is a man among men. His contributions to cinema have meant so much to so many including myself. His body of work insures he’ll be forever eternal
One thing I want to see before Clint really calls it a career is for him to direct a fourth "Man with no name" movie starring his son Scott as the son of the original character with Clint showing up at the end to help his son in the final battle. Would be amazing.
Major recommendation: Honky Tonk Man. Eastwood did such a great job in this movie, his voice was perfect for the role. The soundtrack album is a treasure.
Another song, he did "Barroom Buddies" in the 1980's, his last one was for "Gran Torino". He sang that song too. Son Kyle became a co-composer for the music in most of the movies.
Well I didn't know this American legend could sing so good. I'm almost 20 and I'm probably one of the few people of my generation that enjoys classic movies like the good the bad and the ugly. And hell a big reason for that is because I live with my grandfather and he loves just about anything western (or at least has pretty women in it 🤣). I swear I've seen all the John Wayne movies we got at least 20 times. Damn good movies with a lot of damn good actors. Most people my age would say old black and white movies are out dated. But I say despite parts of them being very out dated a lot of it was because of the time it was made. No blood, swearing, or nudity. I think that's something the new generation needs more of instead of all this hip hop and rap shit hell damn near every modern action movie has a lot of f bombs and taking the lord's name in vain. Kid's don't need to hear that crap. I say that yet I played Conker's bad fur day a lot when I was about 6 or 7 years old. Lol
As a singer Clint's a great actor wouldn't ya say? LOL! Right on Blondie! And Blond....I...I must tell you this, you would do the same in my place...yes, yes...sniff..it's all over for you Blondie! It's all my fault! Mine... we could have had all that money....If I were you, I'd tell the name on the grave, yes I would. When I get a hold of that gold, I'll...I'll... always honor your memory. Yes I will!
He has had a tremendous career for over 60 years! Even got elected mayor of Carmel, California, in his short political life! An amazing actor, director, and activist for smaller government (i.e., more liberty) causes! Approaching 88 (May 31, '18), and I wish him many more!
I don't remember what movie it was but they wanted John Wayne to do a scene a certain way and he wouldn't do it. The producer or director said "Clint would do it." John Wayne's reply was "I don't give a damn what that kid would do." Had John Wayne and Clint Eastwood been in a movie together. That movie would have been monumental
So many people in Kelly's Heroes have actually fought in some War or another, unlike some USA Presidents that found a way to avoid being in a War, or simply had a way behind the lines positions.
Clint Eastwood talks about Kelly's Heroes at his memory book from 2010! For him it have been the worst movie he have ever done. Becuse it located at Jugoslavia 1969 and Clint say it was so boring to be there for filming. It was a good story and actors but director and producer don't do it right of what they have. Kelly's Heroes been a cult movie in Europe special at Sweden and tge public ask Clint if he could singing the lyric "Burning Bridges" for puplic here at Europe.
Clint Eastwood turns 90 years old on May 31, 2020.
Such a great life!
Nearly 91
Nearly 92
No doubt Clint will always be the man! Kelly's Heroes is my all time favorite movie as well as Clint movie. A great American treasure.
Client Eastwood will always remind me of the last vanguard of the greatest generation
so sad that last generations legacy could not be continued by the next ones
dont think 1930 was part of the generation, may have been the slient generation, but nothing slinet about clint

kellys heroes is best movie of the 1970s era
Clint Eastwood...the man, the myth and the legend.
Theme to Kelly's Heroes; amazing that Clint sang it too!
I NEVER knew Clint sang this song; thanks Clint! Arguably, the greatest movie theme and song ever!

This is a VERY, VERY beautiful song! Love from Sweden!
So lucky to have lived during the same era as such greats as Clint Eastwood. To you, Clint. 🍻
Well i for one think he has a lovely voice, it is soft and gentle, and it still sounds like him! Easily recongisable!
Fell in love with Clint Eastwood back when he was on Rawhide! His son looks a lot like him! Hope he goes far!
Darn good song song by a darn good actor & singer with morals;
First time I've heard this song sung by Clint Eastwood. He sounds great. I love the music and the lyrics. Clint is great at whatever he does.❤❤
When a man was a man ; honorable, courageous, unapologetic - and proud of it.
I didnt know he sang this.Thanks.
Great voice. His version of Grand Torino is amazing as well.
GRAN Torino.
Cool, never heard him sing before.
He sings extremally well. I never thought of Clint Eastwood as a Singer
For more of Clint singing, watch 'Paint Your Wagon.' He and Lee Marvin both sing in the movie musical.
One thing I want to see before Clint really calls it a career is for him to direct a fourth "Man with no name" movie starring his son Scott as the son of the original character with Clint showing up at the end to help his son in the final battle. Would be amazing.

Even when he sings... he sounds like a tough guy... a good one !
I love it!

Another song, he did "Barroom Buddies" in the 1980's, his last one was for "Gran Torino". He sang that song too.
Son Kyle became a co-composer for the music in most of the movies.
Are you aware of the album he released in the early 60s?

A true Legend❤

Oh yes you should hear his jazz as well good stuff if you like that kind of th ing
His first starring role was “Pardner” in the musical Paint Your Wagon.
Well said young man!
Makes me want to hear this as a duet with Clint Eastwood's soft singing and Sam Elliot's gruff voice.
him and lee marvin sing in paint your wagons my favorite musical
he is sooooo cute and handsome that I don't even care that his singing isn't all that
As a singer Clint's a great actor wouldn't ya say? LOL! Right on Blondie! And Blond....I...I must tell you this, you would do the same in my place...yes, yes...sniff..it's all over for you Blondie! Awesome job guys!!
Great actor!
wow...

The BEST........from turkey
"I liked the Mike Curb Congregation version but after seeing the
clips of them here on UA-cam I think this is better.".
Well...it was better than I thought it was going to be.
😍🤠🎼Clint!
awesome :D
Never knew the sexiest man ever could sing!!!! Wow! Obviously not as great as the original but good.
Clint Eastwood. My favourite actor. But not my favorite singer. I don't think he ever made a bad film.
not bad at all. maybe not the best voice out there, but I think he sang ok here
His original voice is unexpectedly soft and tender to me as a German who is used to his dubbing voice - a much more "male" variety...
super,,

That was FUCKING ALSOME
Pop Quiz: What was the name of the Album this appeared on?
Reminds me of Shatner's and Nimoy's attempts.
So many people in Kelly's Heroes have actually fought in some War or another, unlike some USA Presidents that found a way to avoid being in a War, or simply had a way behind the lines positions.
You mean like obama and Sleepy Joe?
Nice version!?
What is the connection between him singing this song and it being I think the theme song for Kelly's heroes which he starred in?
Loved Kelly's Heroes!
He didn't sing the title sing. But recorded this version of the movie he started in. Maybe he just loved the song. I know I do.
Is this Realy Clint?
clint also plays piano and composes music for movies
Ending to absolute power, Kate's theme... lovely
im original clint has a voice, i miss the balls. but his movies are nice.
Don't quit your day job, Clint.
You do better fuck face.
The song, as a theme, confuses me as they all got away with a lot of cash and survived. Am I missing something?
Jesus says, "Go on to a New Thing"
why was he singing this? was it for a tv show etc?
The Good: This song. The Bad: Clint Eastwood. The Ugly: Clint Eastwood Singing this song
Lol
Go on to a New Thing
Jesus Christ says
not bad
He is handsome though isn't he? My wife likes him singing "I talk to the trees"
Clint Eastwood could strangle Chuck Norris with a cordless phone.
Not a Pavarotti...
,
I know singing isn't Clint Eastwood's field but he didn't do a bad job here.
What about the WWE
Great actor but obviously didn't know his limitations...
Clint Eastwood talks about Kelly's Heroes at his memory book from 2010! For him it have been the worst movie he have ever done. Why is he still alive
Cause God ain't ready to give up his seat just yet.
Hmm stick to acting Clint
my thoughts too.
Good song but Mary Hopkins Those Were The Days and Terry Jacks Seasons in the Sun are better.
Not bad. But Lee Marvin had a much better singing voice.
Jeffrey Coogan Lee Marvin only used to talk not sing.
I like "Wand'rin' Star" a lot, but he really isn't singing.
LOL, in this matter, he fail all the way.
*No Clint ...Just NO.*
can't sing but great actor lol
Mr Eastwood ...is not singing.
Who'd of thought he'd turn into a rightwing nutcrack. Poor Clint.
Stick to acting mate
Katastrophe
Clint Eastwood ,one of the greats in acting ,but his singing ??? I've heard better singing in a cat fight.
