Just watched it again, because of Donald Sutherland. Rest in Peace, Oddball! 🫡
He was one of my favorite characters in the movie, one of my most favorite movies.
Same here.
Donald Sutherland is irreplaceable. A sad loss to the movie industry.😢
Same here, we watched it last night because it's my favorite movie of his. Oddball, GREAT character!
Oddball ...rest in peace ✌️
“Don’t hit me with them negative waves so early in the morning.”
RIP Donald Sutherland.
May have that put on my headstone
All the people that disliked are carying the negative waves.
Kelly’s Heroes was the kind of movie where everyone was a winner, there were no losers, the motion pictures industry at its finest and the song and the movie will live on forever, enjoy the film young viewers, enjoy great actors acting….
Lots of Kelly's team died on the way to the gold. They lost pretty bad.
@@wavyremixI only remember the 2 or 3 guys dying in that minefield, I might be mistaken, been a while since I seen it
Sir YES SIR!!!
RIP Donald Sutherland!! One of my childhood movie with that insane actor!🙏😌🐶
Irish Defence Forces veteran here love this song remember watching this movie during a bad time serving as a peace keeper.first time I laughed in about 3 weeks if I remember 😅
Superb cast, great story and that soundtrack!!! There's nothing to dislike about this movie
R.I.P Donald - you gave us a long list of great performances, THANK YOU.
This is the song that I would love played at my funeral with everyone of my friends and family singing this song because I think the lyrics to this song is very meaningful to me and people that have passed on. Lot's Of Love From Karl Fox In England XXX
A man of good culture I see, I second that brother! I've lived this song for most of my life during my truly foolish days for damn sure. They need to play this followed by Bad Moon Rising at my funeral! Greetings and salutations from Arkansas USA! 👍
Right back at you, Karl - may that funeral be far, far in your future.
Hang on . . . if these lyrics are true to someones life then maybe they could expect pretty much no one at their funeral, because of the burnt bridges.
I'll be honest, this song could be about me too in so many ways. I guess It's a sad warning !
No matter what new movies come out about WWII, Kelly's Heroes still comes out on top as one of the very best. I think the first time I saw it was when I was 11-12 years old, sometime 1989 I would think when I first saw it on TCM. I've been in love with it ever since.
Was about 12 when it was in theaters. I saw it in a drive in theater in 1970.
Agreed 👍
Kelly’s Heroes, a movie just as entertaining today as well it was first released in 1970. Superb film cast and memorable soundtrack. Thank you for the excellent video clip to a song that is instantly linked to this memorable film.
Yeah too bad it's Leo Strauss propaganda.
@@maximvsdread1610 Everything Is Propaganda Baby, Some Good Some Bad, Moriarty
@@maximvsdread1610 Or it's just a movie.
@Sam, There's no such thing as 'just'.
@@maximvsdread1610 enough with those negative waves man!!🤪😂
Although Donald Sutherland has passed he will forever live on as Oddball!
Introduced my 75 year old friend to this movie (she doesn’t care for ‘war’ films). She,absolutely, loved it.
My favorite actor Donald Sutherland rest in peace you've been such a great actor your whole life and so kind as far as I can see and thank you
That Oddball was truly 'out there,' but he was there when you needed him, and he got the job done. 👌
Rest in peace, Donald Sutherland.
Grear actor. When I heard that he had died, this was the first song I thought of. I will always equate the movie & the song with him 🎼💙❣️..and also an old friend too that I have lost touch with 🥲
I love this movie, as little as I've ever seen it. Never realized how many actors in this movie, had tremendous careers, and ICONIC rolls right around the corner!
I am a 52 year old British person. My Late Mother and I watched this film. We enjoyed it. Nothing needs to be said
3 channels and cowboy films Sunday afternoons, good old days everywhere closed Sunday.
I watched it with my late father and a friend of his, who had served in Korea. They had a laugh together. Many years ago now.
Oh, well then it MUST be good!!
R.I.P Mr. Donald Sutherland. Thank-you for years of great movies! (20 June 2024)
Timeless the theme song still popular today even the movie after 47 years
One of the best assets a movie can have a good soundtrack
Epic Eastwood movie with awesome supporting cast, one of the only comedy war movies that carry a great story shown in classic Eastwood style
Great movie, wonderful cast and outstanding soundtrack…loved it from when I first watched it way back in the 70s
I loved this song when my husband went to Vietnam in 1970!
Hi Rhonda Boncutter I saw your post I hope your husband is ok
Love too on playlist on I-pod 😍🤗
I hope your husband came back safe. His service for America and South Vietnam was not in vain; my significant other is now American (South Vietnamese).
We will always be grateful for Vietnam veterans.
A grateful, current Army lieutenant colonel.
Was born in 73 but id ouv loved to have been der
Another great movie I saw when I was a kid, at least the tanks were real or good make up not an M47 painted in grau, and Donald Sutherland was really great, one of the few actors as good as a comedian and in dramas
All the burning bridges
That have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings
And the burning memories
Everyone I left behind
Each time I closed the door
Burning bridges lost forevermore
The German dude had the fattest lips I ever saw on a dude. L
Thanks for the goodness to include Eastwood, Margolin, O'Connor, MacLeod, Rickles, Savales and Sutherland.
And many of you are service members. Thanks for the laughter
Keith, Army, Lieutenant Colonel.
Col, the scene where Big Joe squares up the team in front of the farmhouse, is the most realistic portrayal of squad level US Army, I've ever seen in film. Lol. Golden classic!
Karl-Otto Alberty all time best Kraut
My Dad, who fought in Patton's Third Army, loved this movie!! I even got a few war stories out of him while watching this. Typical vet, never wanted to talk about the war and the more that I have learned about where and when he served, I understand why. I remember one time watching this with him and the scene where they guy with the red scarf opens up those window shutters and gets his machine gun rolling, my Dad was like, "That's it! Get that BAR up and running!" He was a scout in the 66th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, part of the Fourth Armored Division and he saw a lot...
Saturday Tv , Kelly’s Hero’s ! Great child hood memories!!! “ you think
A hero is some sort of New York sandwich 🥪 😂”
I'm not a war movie person BUT I liked this one because of the cast and CLINT♥️♥️♥️
Rest in Peace, Donald Sutherland aka Sgt. Oddball... 😭
This film was a work of genius
Absolutely 💯
An unforgetable beautiful song!
Definitely.
Man I love this movie and music. REAL American movie. Cant see those anymore...
FIRST-TIME I WATCHED THIS CLASSIC WAS DECEMBER 1970,,GREAT ACTORS ALL ROUND,,EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS EPIC MOVIE,I GET TO APPRECIATE THE QUALITY/CHARISMA/SKILL OF THE WHOLE SET AND THE BEAUTIFUL STORYLINE OF THE MOVIE 🎬 🎞 🎥 🎦 📽
RIP Donald Sutherland
Great Film, Great Title Song, Stellar Cast !!!! RIP DS!!!!
*Rest in peace Donald Sutherland* 🌹
Great song ! When I was young it’s like when I turn around everything just went up in flames
“Why don’t you quit your bitching and remember what’s at the end of the line.” Love this movie
"There you go again with them negative waves, Moriarty!" A certain dog impersonator
Love this movie.
Me too
Obsessed with this song!! Played hundreds of times!!❤
This was a movie that they used to show on Sunday's when I was growing up .
One of the best songs ever written
It does it for me it's mellow but pumped at the same time, I think it's the drums
I saw this in a theater when I was a kid, great movie.
Love this song from the greatest bank heist movie ever filmed. The good guys get away with the loot
UP YOURS BABY!!!!
😆 🤣
😂
Go look for my kilroy was here...😂
Love the message, UP YOURS BABY. 😀 I've heard that Clint Eastwood wasn't totally happy with KELLY'S HEROES. That's when he decided to direct and produce his own films. It's worked for him.
I really enjoy Kelleys Heroes every time it comes on. It was so entertaining with the cast of characters they had. ❤I loved Clint Eastwood & Sutherland Rickles were funny. And I really enjoyed the song that played.❤❤❤
Great flick one of Clints very best. love the song "Burning Bridges"
i watched this film today, its amazing!!!
Still one of my alltime favorites!
Classic movie, Classic cast, great tune, Well done to mike etc, my 2nd fav movie score ever, well done to all the nice comments before mine😍😀👍👍👍👍👍
My cousin and I always watched this film when it was on each of us doing the quotes ..like "The bridge is up!!"... "No it aint"...."Don't look at me Oddball.."etc.. unfortunately as families do we had a massive fall out and never got on again.. We tried to reconcile but he died before we could get together again.. Burning bridges are probably really lost for evermore.
One of my hubby's favorite songs.
Fabulous music - and song! - Great story. Top notch acting. Killer dialogue.
Put them all together and what do you get?
Why, a masterpiece, of course! 'Nuff said.
Only problem with it these days, they gave it a crappy new color grading with over the top yellow and orange and that pronounced blue everywhere.
This is one most favorite movie from the 70"s
Great song ! even better Movie ...
Thx soooo much for uploading... Nostalgia kicked me right in the face. Such a great movie, such a beautiful song... Goosebumps.
Me also !!!
To Glenn???
There will never be another Clint☺

Love this song or tune!!!! Great movie and cast .
R.I.P. Donald Sutherland who played the World War II "Hippy" character in the comic drams "Kelly's Heroes".
Donald Sutherland is soaking up positive vibes for an eternity
Great movie !
and so funny
Kelly's Heroes and Dirty Dozen I watched with Dad as kiddo. Say hello to Donald when you meet. ❤
Greatest cast in the history of movies , Moriarty is a legend 😊
Excelente y buena música Diego. Desde argentina. Gracias. Asta. Luuego
Good Movie with Good Soundtrack
Where Eagles Dare and Kellys Heroes are two best war movies in history of movies. In Kellys Heroes best thing when Oddball come to scene.
RIP Donald Sutherland.
LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!
The perfect crime. This film's probably mandatory viewing in every MP unit.

Great send up movie
The only WW2 film with a hippie feel, hey man no negative vibes man !! 😂✌️
I memorized every word the first time I ever watched this movie. One of the best.
Great tribute to a great flick!
I like that part with Donald Sutherland but he's funny he says woof woof and negative waves
"That's my other dog imitation."
Cult classic movie. A really great one. Clint at the end of his career and life sorry to say. But what a legacy. Just an astonishing film legacy as an actor and director. And like all great films, people way into the future will be able to discover and enjoy films like this as once they are made, they will last forever.
“Dittos Baby”!
Let's remember -- inspired by historic events.
Great movie!
I like Kelly's heroes.and the dirty dozen also a good movie.
I honestly think my favorite parts are of course the opening credits with this song playing as Kelly (Clint Eastwood) is driving his keep through the barrage of bombing. Then when Oddball (Donald Sutherland) had his three Sherman tanks pull up to the railroad construction site and while in Weapons Envelope (lol ok I don't know, I got it from Maverick) in a triangle they obliterated everything and everyone in site, just a cool scene.
I’ve watched this movie over 20 times, although sometimes I skip the beginning. Am always using quotes from the movie, my favorite, “ maybe he’s a republican”.
Loved Donald Sutherland in Kelly's Heroes. He was an Oddball! His smile makes me laugh.
Absolutely 😊😊😊
My gunsteling fliek sedert dit vrygestel is. Ek kyk gereeld my DVD daarvan en raak nooit moeg daarvan. Burning Bridges my&my geliefde se lied.
Love love love this movie 😅😅😅❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😊
This movie was so good, some idiot will try to remake it with crappy actors that don’t even come close to the originals
RIP MR.Sutherland oddball.
I remember that I watched this film at movie theater in back-country of Japan about fifty years ago.
Those days ,Japan's film distributing companies usually changed original film titles of foreign movies.
The film title was absolutely different from " kelly's Heroes" in Japan.
I knew the original title when I was 20's.
Thanks.
Amazing movie ❤❤❤
Friends all tried to warn me
but i held my head up high
all the time they warned me
but i only passed them by
they all tried to tell me
but i guess i didn't care
i turned my back and
left them standing there
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
all the lonely feelings and the burning memories
everyone i left behind each time i closed the door
burning bridges lost forevermore
Joey tried to help me find a job
a while ago
when i finally got it i didn't want to go
the party mary gave for me
when i just walked away
now there's nothing left to say
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
all the lonely feelings and the burning memories
everyone i left behind each time i closed the door
burning bridges lost forevermore
Years have passed and i keep thinking
what a fool i've been
i look back into the past and
think of way back then
i know that i lost everything i thought i that could win
i guess i should have listened to my friends
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
all the lonely feelings and the burning memories
everyone i left behind each time i closed the door
burning bridges lost forevermore
Burning bridges lost forevermore
