i went to the same school as gary and we always crossed paths over the years and i have to say gary is a rare breed he is a true gentleman and im happy you have found happiness in life
Just jailed for cocaine dealing because his burger van wasn't doing well enough, sounds like real 'happiness'. His son is serving 7 years for strangling his girlfriend. Sounds like a charming family.

Fantastic show really enjoyed that listen. Looking forward to catching up with previous programmes. I’ve known Gary and his family for a lot of years. This will seem strange but he is one of the kindest people you will meet. He would give you his last penny if you deserved it more and wouldn’t ask for anything in return. I remember the Ttowel and Hammer incident with him throwing the tiles off the roof. I was the first Police Unit on scene and was standing in the street with my dog getting pelted. I can still see him with his Ripped Burberry shirt on the roof 🤣🤣. He refused to come down until his Solicitor Ian turned up. I was also at the last job when he did his long stretch. Despite this we ride Lambrettas together and I enjoy our chats at his burger stall. 👍🏻

I used to talk to him in the Crawshay Arms on Philly Lane. Marky Mark lived in the same row as me and I was best friends with his boy Sam

Top bloke Gary. Saw him outside Carrow Road before an evening game when I was with my then 11 year old son who had shaved his head to raise money for MacMillan Cancer. Without hesitation Gary pulled out a £20 note and gave it to my son. My son was in awe of this man he`d never met before who was kind enough to give him £20.

Met many characters like this in prison, used to chat with them about their interesting lives.
Listeners were happening in the 90s also could ask for the dedicated Samaritans phone.
I came across Gary many times when working the doors in Norwich. Gary is a true gentleman but many times taken the wrong way because of a name and reputation. A few guys who used to hang around Gary used to use his name in times of trouble but Gary always used to have words to put things right..

I think if they changed the minimum sentence to a year that would help ! People fear prison and the thought of going but once,they been sent there that fear is gone so some of these silly 4 weeks sentences etc are just creating returning customers I think if a year minimum sentence people would think twice
Mctc colly (military corrective training centre ) the block then Chelmsford doing a 5 stretch slop out then yoi swinfen hall , he’s on about bed blocks , governess inspection every Saturday, as I was leaving they started putting toilets in the pads , from there cat c feather stone lost ten days remission for being wired up , looking back compared to the military civi prison was a walk in the park , but I wouldn’t recommend it , but as I’ve said before it’s one of the finest universities of life there is . Goad for traying a nonce who owed me a couple of phone cards for bakki , happy days , but I was glad to get home especially as I’d not been home after active service aged 18 . Happy new year RICKY…. And all reading this .🇬🇧

just to think i gave up my parole in that wayland because a petition was going about my wing, claiming one of the screws their was racist, i personnelly never experienced any from the staff member in question, or any other staff member as a matter of fact, but i got court up and signed my name anyway, do not like seeing anybody victimized because of their cultural beliefs, not that it has phased my actions in the past, 8 mths sacrificed, maybe things would been different on my release in 2003 instead of 2004 different who knows, if your out their and listening "Shorty" god damn u.

He's a grass doing 2 years for class A drugs, he is and was a bully, his son is no better either.. I don't understand this podcast as he is recently in prison for drugs, he got caught with a firearm but never charged, say less!!!

Them telephones in ppl cells were put in because of me n me mate in deerbolt in 2000, its crazy to here people talking about them in prisoner's cells. I got starred off cos of that. Wish it wasn't the officer who was on duty, cos he was really good to me.
But we were committed to our mission so unfortunately the wrong officer was hurt...:/
.my dad was a copper n they did give them a slap set ppl up btw I have had nothing to do with him since I was 15 yrs old but police got away with beating ppl 😔
