I've been out 17 year now , did 10 years 1995 2005 , it really is no life inside, I was in for drugs offences/ robbery was young and stupid, got sentace at 15 year old and got out 25 year old then went into rehab, thankfully complete and now married and not even got a speeding ticket, best thing I ever did

Respect to both of you, this is my new favourite channel Ricky I’m slowly making my way through your content it’s nice to see a local lad doing positive things for the community you can count on me to be a loyal subscriber just like hearing the reality of your’s and other experiences iv never been locked up other than a night in the police cells, that was enough for me but always been fascinated by prison just never wanted to go there ha ha iv no doubt your channel will grow and all the best mate you’re a good lad you should be proud of who you’ve become big respect

I could listen to Kevin all day. He admits to his faults, he’s done wrong but he talks so much sense! Imagine if like minded people run our country! We would be in a much better place.Peadophiles , the lowest of the low get such lenient sentences, if they even get a sentence, yet people with morals get punished. It’s a sad world we live in. I fear for my kids growing up

Imagine the feeling Charlie will get having his first pint, his first takeaway, his first shag. the first time feeling grass and sand on his feet the smells his nose will pick up after being away for 45yrs anyone who's been in prison will know there's a smell that's different to the smell you get when outside the gates. God, what feeling he will have? He's 70 now I think it's time to let him live the rest of his life outside.

A parole board should professionally only use what's in fiont of them only not recent documentaries... That librarian mentioned like the screws they milk the smallest issue for maximum Gain, he'd have got a massive compo and been retiring from it. I guarantee you that after he's milked interviews he will agree to a brainwave of having a face to face with Bronson with Bronson being told it will help him with PR to the public everyone gets big wages public gets a rush from it.

I think they need to let Charlie out in the middle of the night let no one know at all apart from his probation worker put him in a home somewhere in the countryside let him have at least 5 months outside to get used to stuff let him just be free see his mum and relax. Because if he gets outside there will be nonstop cameras following him people wanting interviewed people wanting pictures maybe get far too much for him. He just needs to be kept alone in nice countryside open space and enjoy his freedom before stuff gets crazy for him

In the criminal penal system they practise class distinction so does Society and if people are from an affluent or the correct background they diagnose them with things like autism things that receives support medical access and mitigation but the people are from the wrong background get given diagnosis like ADHD dangerous and severe personality disorders and whatever it is they diagnosed with they treat as a aggravating feature and they get no support they just get sent into dspd unit and get high sentencing in the courts or get thrown out of proper schools and put into secluded schools to introduce them to being part of the system

  • @Happyheart146

A lot of very well put, really good points. Something definitely needs doing with the system in Britain. The politicians would do well to take advice from people like yourselves who actually know the crack. Trouble is, they know you both make perfect sense but it probably boils down to money as per...and it probably suits them to keep the divide.
Also, to add to one issue which Kev highlighted, regarding the illegal immigrants, are people aware that diseases like TB, Polio etc, (which we pretty much eradicated in this country) are now back. It can't be attributed solely (as the media allude to) to the fact people's immunity is weakened after lockdown. In my opinion, it's more to do with the hundreds of thousands of people breaching our borders. We're an island FFS!
Anyway, rant over!! Great podcast Ricky, plenty food for thought. I'm loving the channel. Massive respect to the pair of you, best wishes and success to you both from Co. Durham.

For me, it sounds like Charlie's son has reservations, now that it's 'review time', otherwise why would he make that public remark about his Dad maybe going for him in temper? He's had long enough to work out the pros and cons surrounding the whole issue (no pun intended). Me, I reckon his woman has been in his ear too. She's bound to. Charlie's boy loves the lime-light, but like many such they are prone to getting cold-feet come the moment. Not everyone has 'what it takes', like you and Kev, Ricky, so fair play to yous.

So much of the population has been conditioned to see the bad in people who have done time. Where's the story for showing the good in us? That's why the media never show our goodness ---- it doesn't sell.

By the looks of it Kevin lane could have been a negative product of the prison system.
He fortunately hasn't and has rebuilt his life with little assistance after release .
In my view "every human being deserves a chance " and so does Charlie Bronson.
Keep kicking a dog AND HE WILL BITE YOU ! .
That's exactly what a minority of staff and the Prison system have done .
A specially planned release plan should be made , including people who he familiar with .
Let's face it is the only people who he has any sort of familiarity with .
    He might have messed up
BUT THERE ARE OTHER CASES WALKING THE STREETS AS WE SPEAK .

First time I seen Ricky's story when he started UA-cam I knew they would want him on podcasts now he's doing podcasts brilliant he is he's been there himself I think he will be one of the biggest only so much of Mr English you can watch lol from being from Dublin Ireland being in the care system after losing both parents as a kid going young offenders st pats the Mount Joy prison thanks for covering Irish stuff to I've heard a lot of people talk about Kevin yammy said no messing with him and I've seen him on podcasts very smart man you can tell why he's a proper or was a proper hit man to the lower ones that do hits because there made to because they owe money out and stuff loved this I'm fuming ffs Charlie should never be still in I wonder is it there afraid to because he bring the house of cards down especially what he seen in broadmore from the monster Saville visiting and other stuff

But sorry rambling on I'd love to see the documantary

but you know what the saddest part of this entire story is the fact is after 40 yrs inside hes not gonna be able to cope with life on the outside in terms of where his heads at i watched this chris hedges the long road home about guys in america who had done similar sentences and it was more abvout how they were redadjusting to soceity and life and everyone of them lived in terror of parole violations some of them had a thing about been disrespected know stuff like someone bumps into them just in life as you get but they were taking that as been persoanl because of the prsion rules about been rude and that entire thing which they all had and other psychological issues around instituationalisation one buy said he wanted to go back and thats the problem with it instituationalisation but i bet you get it kevin gets in everyone whose done a big sentence probably gets that normality of been in prison then fine once their out they wanna go back in
its like someone i know was telling me about some guy who was in jail with whod done think 5 yrs and when it come to release guy didnt wanna go and hes no longer with us but he even said theres nothing for me out there and thats why hes no longer with us and thats sad that and i would suspect that happens quite a bit that as a small but significant problem when that persons been so long inside that they cant cope and the results of that which is something else i think needs looking at cause again for a lot of people prison doesnt end cause they say heres a few quid pack ya stuff ya going home its just another kind of prison might not have bars on the window but its the psychological prsion more then a cell and another thing a lot of them guys said in america was been overwhelmed by everything and i think charles is prob going to get that really bad and its not gonna be pretty

  • @djdarksidejungle559
    @djdarksidejungle559 Рік тому +1

but the thing is what ive always said give people something to do and a sense of hope theres loads of work that needs doing the entire country is falling apart and a labour shortage but the problem is money with it all and that unfortunately is the problem with the prison service soceity as a whole where everything is looked at in terms of poinds and pence and absolutely no way of getting out of the benefit trap well once you been jail you cant claim it anyway and then cant get a job but if they say right esp for long termers do things like a degree while your in there and if ya man charles bronson fancies his hand at been a precision engineer or something that is transferable on the outside then i think thaty might be a start but i seen what they do education wise in prison and from what ive seen its just maths and english and shut up and go away kind of thing get in ya cell and thats the problem and running everything on a shopwstring and meanwhile these companies are making tremndous profits why they follow the americain model of prison cuase in america its all private and it wouldnt surprise me if somewhere in their contract for doing the private prisons theres a clause that they gaurantee a certain level of population otherwise thered be no point in private companies been involved and im not even goingto bore you with the level of corruption involved in PFI private financinc intitavie or PPO public private ownership but its one of the main reasons prisons are in the state their in now i would say more then a significant factor really
