10 years later I still come back to this video on my dark days when I'm in a prickly perch. 💜Thank you for reminding me over and over again that this is all part of the adventure and on I must go.

Four days ago I was gifted a ticket home.
Its funny watching this over the years. What started as "wow! I want to live life to the fullest and do things like go to burning man when i grow up!"
turned into
"I wonder how those people are doing now? Have they started a family? How many of these people are no longer with us?"
So much has changed yet it feels like yesterday. I wonder how much this video affected my life or if it did at all. All i know is I seem to always return back here, even after all the places i've gone.

I never forgot it. Sitting here, now located in a nother city then 8 years ago, and still thinking about this. Everytime I feel that the waiting place is to close, i remember this video. (and dr. seuss of corse) Thank you, for making my life a little bit better
I watched this for the first time in 2013 during one of my last college classes that school year. Since then, I've been a teaching assistant, beginning in 2015 and now a professor since 2019. I play this at the end of each of my courses now. So inspirational.

Same thing just happened to me just now. Looking into tickets now, not sure what I have been waiting for this whole time. Yes it scares me but what have I got to loose compared to what I have to gain. I want to visit the burn for the first time in my life.

This really is a wonderful collage set to a wonderful message at "home" for all of us burners. I went 2011 & enjoyed seeing places & faces my fuzzy memory recalls.....thank you so much. I just shared it with my 10 year old daughter who has gone to Saguaroman and is a burner. We so enjoyed it & it touched us. Whenever I'm feeling down, I watch this video, or I read this book, and it always brings a smile to my face, and reminds me that nothing is done, my life has miles to go, and whatever is going on now, will resolve itself in one fashion or another

This is saddening. 5 years ago, my parents gave my older brother this book as a graduation gift. I skimmed through it, thinking it was just a silly book. Now, about to graduate high school in 2 weeks, just watched this video. It hit me hard, that after Graduation, I will never see my HS friends ever again :,(

If you see my post and then wonder why I post such a post and don't even try... to go and attend this marvalous fest, then know I'm a prisoner just like all the rest - who struggle through life the best that they can and dare only dream of the burning man!
Don't limit yourself with what others will think, that is one recipe for a life that will stink.
For Age is mealy a number, it's about how you feel! If you don't live your life with freedom, you aren't living a life that is real.
When it comes to decisions about what you should do with your time, always ask yourself "would doing this, or missing this be a crime?"
What does your ideal life look like? Set a goal and try to give it a decent strike! Does it involve missing important events, because that doesn't make much sense. Or does it involve being the best you, that you can be? Trying to be the best version of yourself is the Key!
As long as you are not hurting anybody else is all that matters to me. That is truly the best way to live a life that is free. :)
When my son was a baby my ex hubby's friend gave this book he signed as a farewell gift before heading to NYC from San Diego now my son is 20😘!

I am watching this, because I am dedicating the video to a friend a dear friend wish I dont have much time left with. Any day now her light will be gone from my life and the life of all the people she reached out to. With all the grief I have in my heart I have tears of joy of getting to know her and having a opportunity to love her. I watched this vid for the first time in school when i was 11 yrs old, and this poem has had such an impact on my life until now. i might only still be 16 but this poem and video has taught me so much, and it still makes me tear up even now, if not it has become more emotional and relateable than when i was 11. Its my fav poem and vid on youtube and it forever will be because it holds such immense sentimental values even today.

This is the best thing that has happened to me in a very long time. At a time when I find myself so lose to ending it all, this comes along. And suddenly I find a smile on my face once more, amongst tears, yes, but a smile. This is the best thing that could have ever happened to me.
