The effort it must have taken you to give me 5 minutes of jaw-dropped enjoyment must have been very great. Thank you SO much for that.
I'm the 300th thumb up - with 0 down.
Was incredible to see the city come to life from nothing. I knew that's what happens, but never appreciated it fully until now. I was surprised to note how many people stayed to watch the Temple burn this year. No wonder I didn't have any trouble leaving on Sunday morning.
Thank you again!!
We are all just sands in time, dust in the wind, an amazing journey to see Black Rock City like this... thanks for posting this!
It feels awesome to be getting a gift this long after I left playa. Thanks.
It amazes me how big a planet we live on where there are people who have no idea about this amazing event!!
Yet at the same time it's so small that this video can be reached to so many inquisitive people.
That was breathtaking! An epic video format that I'll never match.
Going to burning man is one of my life-long goals... this just gets me one step closer
I'm so glad to see this. I went in 2000, 2002 and 2003, and my uncle wants to go in 2012. I'll be there by whatever means are available.
WOW. Whoever created this, I adore you. An almost-tear came to my eye as I watched the Exodus bits toward the end.
I love love LOVE THIS!! Seeing home arise out of a barren desert, brief flashes of those burns that I thought went on FOREVER, then the stream of taillights out for Exodus, all of it was & still is heartbreakingly beautiful! The music is perfect as well, accurately captured what I was hearing on a couple of those nights! Anyone else heard those voices before?
Best movie ever about BM. So breathtaking.
Glad you liked it :)
I ran this project about a decade ago. It was a formative experience and I am glad I got to document the ever changing surface which is the burn.
Beautiful. Love the visuals and the music is PERFECT, too bad this years version
didn't happen
My best friend's mum and stepdad have gone to Burning Man for the past 10 years, and were in fact married there! This last year they had renewed their vows :) From all the things that she told me about it, it sounds absolutely fantastical.
Still the best!
Oh god, this is so beautiful... and so real. It's just gone now
Wow. I can't believe I survived (and enjoyed) that...
Thank you for the wonderful time-lapse.
Incredibly beautiful work with a matching soundtrack that is simply maaahvelous
Was there in 2011 with the Trojan horse burn, the man burn and the temple burn so thanks so much for grabbing the view from Old Razorback. So worth your efforts for this timeless historical work of Burning Man. Can't thank you enough. Too bad you were not able to repeat the feat in years following. I was not able to secure a ticket for 2019 - Damn!
THANK YOU. If I could give you all a hug I would, and I will
Beautiful
My same exact feeling and expression [that I commented]!

I really love this. It's amazing how a little city pops up from the ground for a couple days, then disappears for another year. I wanted to go in 2011, but none of my friends wanted too, 2012 it is. See you all there
Surreal.
The Burning Man Art Festival itself as art.
this was the greatest time of my entire life.
Astounding production! This video is the reason UA-cam was created.
This one man marvels at that many person endeavour ! Beautiful (!) Overview. Ah, .
Superlatives fail me! My friend goes every year and tells me about Burning Man but this is the first time I have a real feeling for what happens there. I have so many questions. Love the night scenes and the sound effects (perfect). Thank you. I MUST experience the Playa for myself.
Surely a masterpiece, the music is PERFECT!!!
so awesome to see BM come together this far away... Great work loving it, The music is perfect too
Awesome Video, It's magical, beautiful, stunning, spiritual, jaw dropping, the scenery of the mountains, sunsets, rotating earth, dusty winds, clouds and moutains are more interesting in the actual festival, seeing nature in its beauty makes everything else seem trivial.
Very nice! The audio and visuals work great together, lovely synchronization! For at least a few years, I've been shooting timelapses most days. I know how tricky it can be to show all the little details that fly by quickly, and so I was amazed at how the repetition worked. You can focus on different areas each time a segment loops. Thanks so much for this little golden nugget of information! I'll have to give it a try sometime soon. As for Burning Man, it's been on the bucket list for too long!
Majestic. Interesting how after the burn and the buners leave the wind direction whirls and then changes direction and follows them out.
Wow. EVERYTHING about that video was awesome. Thank you all for your hard work! An no, that is not a tear in my eye, its just, really dusty or something...
That's a Top 10 for me. It entrained my breathing to the day cycles. Far out!
BEST. BURNING. MAN. VIDEO. EVAR.
magical, beautiful, stunning, spiritual, jaw dropping, gave me chills. and when the man burned, it looked like the BIG BANG...there is something here! ohhhhhh.....my.....universe!
So beautiful. Thanks for your effort! Now if we could get entry and exodus to go that fast, and for the rest of the week to go in slow motion, so much the better! You can really see just how much more dust there is with vehicles as opposed to bare playa. Again, thanks for this gift!
The desert is beautiful!
Also, excellent use of music!
Phenomenal
That was freaking awesome. I wish I could have been there.
no wonder the light from the temple were intense. that was one big time-lapse fireball
What visuals!
What music!
Breathtaking!
Jaw dropping!
Mind bending!
Awe-inspiring!
Revelatory and Undeniably HOME!
Thank You for this GIFT
and for Rekindling The Memories of My 1st BURN

How utterly futile man's adventures are, no matter how joyous they may be. The passing of time, and this place will leave no trace of their existence.
This is EPIC! Thanks for taking the time to do this...
This is FABULOUS! Love the soundtrack! Brilliant job. Congratulations.
ok this is now one of my most fave videos for burn from a far
Glad to provide :)

Very nice work, never knew so much went into the prep of Burning Man!
Simply.... Nice.... I was there in 2011.
@sharpsbeats I see, hence why there's no name for it here :)
Sweet, first thing i did was to download it... I sleep like a baby hearing this at night.. so thank you for a good night sleep (and also calming after work hours) :)
@sharpsbeats I was wondering about how beautifuly it is synchronized, you did a fantastic job, I love the music, it swept me away (back to the playa)
Wow! Thank you for that perspective!!
This is fantastic! I was there for that whole time, so it's great to get this perspective.

Great piece of videography.
@taruto10 I was asking myself the same question the entire time I was there. Actually, it was more like, "Where am I and what the hell is going on?" Love it.

Amazing!!!!! True Masterpiece!
Outstanding!
@smoohan
Wow, nice word use.
Yeah that still is incredible. Looks like a huge beam of pure goodness coming down from above, landing right in the center of the city, as the last of the citizens clean up and move out.
so sick

@TCfoxs This is the annual building of, living in, then demolishing of Black Rock City in the Black Rock Desert of Northern Nevada. It is built annually by it's citizens. They live there for a week or so then they go back to their drudge. It's home.
Amazing!!!

@VE3n0m hey thanks for looking my stuff up. I wrote this music specifically for this timelapse, it doesn't have a name because it is part of the video. However, this soundtrack is up for free public download on my soundcloud page at soundcloud [dot] com [slash] sharps if you're after this song specifically.
Next time somebody asks what Burning Man is about, I'm going to show them this video.
crazy video!!!! :-) almost as crazy as BURNING MAN itself!! :-) Congrat!!
That's an awesome video.
EPIC!
I honestly felt sad watching it all get packed up so quickly. One day i will go, but I live in Australia. There is one here but its nothing like that...
