- Keep LISTS! I just catalogued and organized my comics in preparation for opening my antique shock, and there were more than just a few surprises in terms of completed collections! turns out 19 collections were completed from my bulk, and I'm close on another 20 or so collections!
What collection should I try to complete next!?

As much as I appreciate keys. For me theres nothing more satisfying than full runs. Nice !!
My advice is to focus on the runs that start in the Silver Age as ultimately they will represent more historical significance, personal pride and gut satisfaction. I promise you that the older you get the more interest you will take in the past before your own past. Comics are really about CHARACTERS more than anything else and the deeper you dig into their roots the more your imagination will fly. I also guarantee that in years to come it will be the non-keys that pique your intrigue more than the same old. Heed my advice now and you will have a happier hobby future. 👍
Now that is an impressive inventory and yes, I do keep lists as well. Full runs show dedication to the hobby and a true love for the art form. There was a time when I had mostly complete runs of Marvel Silver age books. Over time they ebbed and flowed. My biggest mistake was selling off 22 long boxes of gems in 2007, or roughly have of my collection. Since then I've rebuilt by selling off duplicates, triplicates of slightly newer books to buy back older books I wanted, but there are books I likely will never own again like the original first six issues of the Hulk. Still, the rush of getting these older books just never gets old. All the best to you James on your new venture. Please let me know what your handle is on eBay or if you have a dedicated website. The only possibility is someone saw an add I had hung up or something and thought they should and could load off comic books at my place, after someone had deceased? It's common to give everything away to charity flea markets(that collect money for the schools big band)maybe they thought I was one of those guys that stored items of interests for charity flea markets?_*

These runs are amazing. I sold the majority of my collection years ago but when I collected, I took pride in having complete runs. I did complete my runs of Power Pack and New Mutants. Had every GI Joe but stopped shortly after issue 100. Uncanny X-men was my biggest gem though with a nice run from 145 - 254.
Just think how many complete runs you'd have if you had been really trying!!😂
That's impressive indeed. I liked when you showed in a prior video the Iron Man collection you had. It would be nice to see some videos showing the other complete comic sets you have, then you could talk about the key issues from those sets.

Definitely catalog your collection! I had to do it cause I kept buying duplicates at the back issues and dollar bins. It will save you time and money knowing what you need and don't need!

Awesome job on all of your complete collections. Yes definitely go for it and try to complete. The ones that are almost there. I too am a completist and have been working hard on organizing and cataloging my Comic collection. Not nearly as impressive as yours, but I am happy with what I have. 😎
Your GL runs I knew about but I wasn't aware that you had such a great run of Batman, well done. I know which complete runs I have (my proudest achievement is all issues of Hellblazer including all miniseries and Specials, about 350 comics) but my surprise comes when I open boxes I haven't looked at for years to re-read stories and discover other titles that turn out to be doubles, all because of my poor record-keeping in the past. But that means I now have comics I don't need and which I sell to get ones I want.

I use the CLZ app to catalogue all of my comics. It works so much better that way. Congratulations on your completed runs

Wow, that's amazing. Dude I'm currently trying to complete a set of multiple runs and its definitely a challenge because I have to live at my mom's to help her out financially. There's also so much I could put in my closet -_- trying to finish Daredevil, silver surfer (Ron lim), sensational She-Hulk, wolverine, marvel comics presents wolverine, green lantern 90s, old man Logan, wolverine vol. 2, spider-girl and last but not least Uncanny X-Men vol. 1 😅 phew! Idk how you do it dude! I'm trying to keep myself sane while doing this because it's very satisfying to complete them!
I'm finally going through all of mine too. Just finished alphabetizing my 10 long boxes of the letter A. I'm in for a lot of work, lol

Complete runs are great. I have a few complete Bronze runs: Invaders, Nova, Ms. Marvel, Spectacular Spiderman, Logan's Run, and Captain America 100-216.

Awesome! I know you've been in Trenton, NJ from some previous videos. That's where I'm from. But I also go to New Hope, PA ALOT. I was just at Phantasm Comics a few weeks ago. New Hope is such a great little town!
It’s so satisfying to complete full runs. I won’t lie my biggest run I’ve completed is only 14 issues, I’ve got a long way to go before I’m a serious collector.
Batman 200+ run ... wow that is just fire. Would love to see an episode of some deep cuts from in there. Covers or stories you love.
My full runs range on condition - can tell it's been pieced together. Am way more impressed with full runs where the collector is the OG owner

Very impressive.... I have a few complete Marvel Silver Age runs myself.
During my brief collecting phase, I scored a near complete Iron Man run from the early double figures to the then new 300.
That is awesome man! Seeing someone be able to do what I am aiming for (not as big of course though lol) helps give me a bit of hope for my favorite hobby on this planet!!

Glad to see your excitement in having all these runs, so many of these comic channels are about the ups and downs of prices, totally ignoring the hobby! Just finished my Superman run, starting with my birth cover Vol 1 #110 to the present day, which includes Vol 1 and 3,4,5 and obviously the new Vol 6. (people have suggested I carry on downwards, but the prices are not fun!) I also have the separate Volume 2 #1-226 that came out at the same time as Adventures the complete one you have! I have plenty of runs of other books, but I am 30+ years older than you, lol! (I previously sold my collections in '84, so just replacing a lot of them)

You should do a video on "do-able" runs. Like, Defenders, Wolverine, Sub-Mariner V1 were all in that category for me. I am not even attempting ASM for the same reason you said for FF. Debating the Hulk or Thor... but i guess its all in the hunt, eh? What should i do next? Gimme a suggestion? and thanks for the content.

I'm almost done with my complet (numerical) 2003 Teen Titan run. I say numerical because i'm missing some of the variant covers. There is one high numbered variant that is insanely expensive! Like hundreds of dollars expensive.

The Batman run is pretty awesome to have, hope you complete your Swamp Thing run.
As an X-Men collector I have a complete run in high grade 94-544, and a second run 94-284 and then 5-15 extra copies of 144-284 in high grade.
I have completed All Star Squadron, New Adventures of Superboy, Justice Society (2008) my Action run is complete from 398 on, Superman Family, Supergirl (all volumes) Adventures of Superman as well, Man of Steel, Superman v2 , plus Superman 650 on and I am 7 issues from finishing DC Comics Presents…guess who I like.

I have Avengers 5-280 and Captain America 100-223. These are the closest I have to complete runs.
I noticed that you didn’t mention that you had a full Excalibur run, which is something you mentioned that you might’ve had a few videos back. Are you only missing 59 for ASM? That's impressive! I'm missing 129 (1 - 129) but I have completed the run from 130 to the present of ASM. I did had several issues of early ASM but was forced to sell those to pay the bills and regretted it ever since. I agreed with you that those early issues of ASM are crazy expensive. It's really hard on my "collector's OCD" wanting to complete the runs. LOL... Great video!

How many issues do you need for Green Lantern vol 2? I’m only trying for 1-89 and needing most of 61-75. My biggest run is Batman 100-713 though.

Maybe an offtop but how are you hunting on good ebay auctions, is there any program that can help you hit on the occasion? Because there is no way to type every single name of the comic book in the search tab every single day when you want so many keys. New to the hobby so don't be mad if the solution is very easy ;)
